From the very beginning the characters had incredible chemistry. Just to mention what I found awesome about this book: Temptation, Undeniable attraction, Taking a chance at love….I could go on but I seriously loved this book and don’t want to give any spoilers!

I’m so glad that I decided to read this book and I CAN NOT WAIT to read more from Melissa Marino!

Melissa Marino is another new-to-me author for 2017! And y'all know I can't pass up the chance to read a new author... or a book that features a sexy single dad lusting after his nanny. Another trope I've read several different takes on in the last couple months. And I'll keep right on reading them as long as authors write them, too.

So Twisted was a super quick read. It had some absolutely hilarious, literally laugh out loud moments, too. (The toy cucumber. I didn't think I'd ever recover from all the awkward.) It was sexy and sweet and I really liked both of the characters. Callie was a great heroine and a wonderful nanny. Aaron was sexy and totally swoon-worthy. His little girl, Delilah, was adorable. I was all-in on their storyline, but I really disliked the direction the conflict went. It was a little too much of a reaction and, honestly, it turned me off to Aaron pretty hard. He really had to work to get back in my good graces after all the angst he caused.

This was a good start to a new series by a new-to-me author. I definitely plan to continue on reading the Bad Behavior series. I've heard the second book is even better than the first, so I'm looking forward to finding out for myself. Soon.

FAVORITE QUOTES

For your own safety, please do not kneel down in front of me like that unless you want me to knock you down and ride you like a jockey at the Kentucky derby.

"But, Daddy, I don't have one of these. Callie has a toy cucumber, and I don't have one this big for my play kitchen. Plus, it has buttons to do stuff."

So Twisted, the first book in Melissa Marino's Bad Behavior series is a cute story. I had a hard time getting into it because I normally stay away from alternating first person POV, the beginning feels way too much like they are telling me instead of showing me; especially when it came to Aaron's former marriage. It was just kind of thrown out there right off the back, I felt like information overload and none of the emotion that went with it, I had a hard time trying to figure out why Aaron reacted the way he did because when he "remembered" everything at the very beginning of the book he didn't really show his reaction just his determination. It's not until at the end where it explains more. I couldn't justify Aaron's actions, I couldn't empathize with him because of it and ended up not really liking him. Callie on the other hand the opposite very open with her emotions with herself and I sided with her completely through the whole debacle.

Callie is going to school to be a teacher but to afford her tuition she has to work as a bartender in a sleezy-ish hook -up night club that is until her best friend Evelyn finds her the perfect job for her as a live in nanny for a well off business owner. There is instant chemistry between Aaron and Callie and they manage to hold off on acting on their feelings until after Callie goes on a date with Aaron's playboy brother Abel. Callie and Aaron's lives fall into a nice and easy pattern. Aaron starts trying to hard and moving way too fast for Callie. Callie just wants to please Aaron and in her fear of messing up and repeating whatever mistake his first wife made she started up a good friendship with Abel when ever she starts to freak about something Aaron did or said she uses Abel as a sounding board. Callie doesn't tell Aaron the she's good friends with his brother had when he finds out he (way) overreacts and kicks her out. Callie after some time of healing she becomes determined to do things for herself and not to please other people. Aaron realizes his mistake but is it to little too late to win Callie over.

Overall, it was sweet and the ending was pretty good. Delilah, Aaron's daughter, really stole the show.

So Twisted by Melissa Marino is the first book in her Bad Behavior series. A debut novel with the story told in dual POV, the main charcaters are Aaron and Callie.

Aaron is a single, divorced father of a four year old daughter Delilah. His ex-wife has been out of the picture since Delilah was a baby and he finds himself in need of a nanny. Aaron is a serious soul, his main concern and love in his life is his daughter. She is his whole world.

Callie is getting her degree to become a teacher. Working nights as a bartender and studying hard during the day, she is burning the candle at both ends. When her best friend finagles the opportunity to interview for a nanny position that will ease her workload and allow her to at least get a normal nights sleep, she can't say no.

These two together, it was pretty much insta-lust with a rapid fire relationship shortly after. A bit of drama and angst towards the end but, thankfully, they do manage to find their way back to each other. This story is a standalone within the series and while the series is better enjoyed in order it isn't necessary. Callie and Aaron's story is complete but they cameo in the next two books, So Screwed and So Wicked.

so twisted kicks off the bad behavior series, which begins with callie and aaron. aaron is a single dad with a delightful 4 year old daughter named delilah. his ex-wife left him when she was a year old and relinquished custody and has had no contact with aaron or delilah since.

needing to take on a more active role in his bar business, he hires callie, a cash-strapped grad student studying early childhood education. callie had been working a crappy bar job while trying to keep up with her studies and pay rent. the nannying job is not only a godsend but a dream come true. callie loves kids and she instantly falls in love with delilah.

the only problem is that she's instantly in lust with her boss too. aaron and callie dance around their attraction, but eventually give into it. but their forced proximity means that the intensity of the relationship moves at light speeds, and they move from lust to love pretty quickly. the problem is that aaron's baggage from his past marriage and the emotional scars he bears make moving forward a challenge for him. callie, on the other hand, feels the age difference and life experience difference and struggles to believe that she can be enough for aaron and delilah. getting over their hang ups and finding a way to build a future together while healing the hurts their hearts hold is the crux of the novel. eventually they get there, but it's not easy, although it is enjoyable to read.

Callie is a hardworking college student who gets a break by becoming a live in nanny to a single father named Aaron. Upon their first meeting at the interview they feel an attraction to each other but don't want to act on it since it wouldn't be professional. I pretty much knew where this story was heading and I enjoyed it a lot. Yeh little girl Delilah was so cute!! My main issue with the story was how fast everything happened with the couple. Aaron had issues and reservations when it came to Callie because of his past but moved so fast with her anyway. Everything happens 1,2,3 and it was hard for me to feel that connection with the couple. Then as expected we had some drama but not kind I was thinking would happen and I'm happy the author didn't do the predictable thing. I liked this couple but I wished they had better communication with each other especially since they were head over heels in love. Plus the fact that a child was involved you would think they would get it together. Yes, Callie isn't her real mother but the closest thing she has to one. So I felt like both characters should have done a lot of things differently for the sake of the child. We are also introduced to secondary characters Evelyn and Abel who I really liked and I can't wait to read about them in the next book and catch up with Aaron and Callie.

I wanted to like this book-it's a trope that I definitely enjoy. I don't mind things progressing quickly-especially in this type of scenario. The heroine is generally younger (definitely was here) and sometimes that makes it easier for them to fall quickly. It had steam, but I was so bothered by the actions of the hero that I found myself checking out. I will try this author again because the writing was tight and I thought the pacing was on point but I wasn't able to fall back in love with the hero which kind of ruined it for me.

Aaron is a busy single dad who is in need of a nanny to help him take care of his 4yr old daughter. Callie has a job she hates, but needs, while she is finishing school, she really needs a better job and when her friend tells her about the nanny position she knows she has too apply.
Her new employer turns out be "smoking hot", and Callie finds it hard at first concentrate when ever Aaron is in her presence, but when she meets Delilah his daughter, she soon can't wait to start her new job.
Straight away, an attraction is felt but they both decide that it would be best if they kept their relationship professional. But that wasn't go to last long seeing as they are both living under the same roof.
This was an entertaining romance, great chemistry between Aaron and Callie, and with Delilah's lively little come backs, "So Twisted" is a definite must read.

So Twisted by Melissa Marino
“To you your fall into love is perfect, to some it’s twisted, 5 stars”

So Twisted was the first book I have read of Melissa Marino’s and I loved it. It was the perfect amount of sweet with a little bit of taboo. So Twisted sucked me in and I couldn't put it down.
Callie is a struggling college student. Between taking more classes then recommended and working like crazy to pay for school shes barely functioning. Her awesome, fiesty roommate Evelyn is worried about her. So when Evelyn hears of a Nanny job that would be right up Callie’s alley she does what any good roommate would do, sumbits Callie’s resume without asking. Will Callie take the job?
Aaron has been a single dad since his ex-wife up and left. The only help he has received has been from his family, but now he wants to take their advice and get a Nanny. Only what happens when the woman interviewing for the job takes your breath away?
In So Twisted you watch Aaron and Callie fight the attraction between them, then try and learn to navigate the waters they find themselves in. Can the Nanny and the Boss seperate work and play? Aaron is slightly older and once he decides he wants something he goes for it. Callie though has never had anything or anyone stay. Will they figure it out? And how will Aaron’s family react?
I loved the characters, from the main to the secondary. I loved how Abel and Callie bonded. Aaron's daughter was adorable. I could seriously see this story playing out in front of me as I read.
Here are a couple of quotes that stuck out to me;
“And it was what he wanted, too. It was in the way he kissed me. The way his hands forced me closer to him. The sounds he made, mumbled against my lips. My entire body tingled and pulsed.”
“My future. My future is in that mirror.”
Plot- 5/5
Characters- 5/5
Heat- 5/5
Writing style- 5/5
Overall- 5/5

Callie is burning her candle at both ends, by working at a bar until the wee hours of the morning and then going to college and doing homework during the day, she has little time for sleep, which is leaving her completely exhausted, but it's really the only option that works for her right now. That is, until her roommate catches wind of a single dad looking for a nanny for his daughter, and nominates Callie for the job. At first Callie is a little upset that her friend intervened, but she has to admit that it is too good of a deal to pass up, she would much rather spend her time with an adorable little girl, then slinging drinks in a dive bar. Then she meets the father of said little girl, and the deal gets a little sweeter, he's gorgeous and the sparks are there, but there is no way she'd make a move... no matter how tempting it he may be!

With his mom's upcoming surgery, and losing her as the care provider for his daughter, Aaron is in desperate need of a nanny. He is uncomfortable with the idea of leaving his daughter with someone other than family, but the minute he opens the door to Callie he knows he's found the perfect person or the job. He can instantly tell she is a caring sole, and within minutes in her presence she has put him at ease, well with the exception of having his blood pressure rise a little at the sight of her, she is unbelievably beautiful. But as much as he would like to make her his new bed partner, he knows her time would be far better served caring for his daughter...now he just has to find a way to resist temptation and keep his hands to himself!

This was my first time reading a book by Ms. Marino, and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with it, it kept me on my toes the whole way through, I definitely foresee myself reading more from her in the very near future!! This heartfelt and sexy little tale had everything you could want in a story; an addictive and emotionally rich story line, dynamic characters with explosive chemistry, and some seriously sexy toe curling romance too!! I highly recommend this one, it's sure to keep you flying through the pages!!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.

I started with the second book in the series, So Screwed, and absolutely fell in love. But this, THIS book was everything. I laughed, I swooned and boy, did I cry. Amazing story, I cannot wait to get my hands on more.

So Twisted is the first book in the bad behavior series by author Melissa Marino. The Bad Behavior series is a series of standalone contemporary romances that straddle the line between new adult and adult. I would still put them in the new adult category because the main character for So Twisted was in her twenties. But I can easily see this appealing to fans of both new adult and adult contemporary romances. So Twisted is a feel good romance and is a very quick read. It had its' fair share of funny moments too. (And some moments that made me beyond embarrassed.) Overall, I really enjoyed this one, and I can't wait to read books 2 and 3 of the series, both of which are already out. Binge readathon, anyone??

So Twisted is told in dual narrative between the two main characters, Callie and Aaron. Aaron is a single dad and Callie is the new live in nanny. While the overall story line is rather predictable (we all know where this one is going...) there were more than enough little funny things thrown in that I totally did not expect. Some of them had me laughing and some of them had my cheeks turning pink from embarrassment.
like the daughter finding the toy cucumber. eek!! AKA Callie's rabbit. I died!
Callie is a very competent young woman and I really appreciated that about her. She has her head on straight and she is great for Aaron.

Aaron's little girl is just super cute. And while it is really not my thing to read books that feature children, she was really just a secondary character to the story. She was around throughout the book, but she didn't really get in the way of Callie and Aaron's story. She complemented it. If that makes any sense. Either way, it worked for me. I honestly was going to pass on this one because of the little girl and start with book 2 in the series, but I got all of the books for review and I wanted to read the series in order, so I decided to give So Twisted and try and I am glad that I did. While it is not my favorite book in the series (I am already liking book 2 more than this one!) it was a really good read. If you like cute romances featuring single fathers you will love this one. But even if that is not your go to trope, read So Twisted anyway. I think you will enjoy it. And you can binge books 2 and 3 right after, which is always fun.

Bottom line: So twisted and the bad behavior series is perfect for a good binge read for fans who like cute romances with a dash of sexy and humor thrown in. Now, if you will excuse me, I am going to go back to reading book 2.

I must say this book was good.
A single dad that needed a nanny. And a single hardworking girl trying to get herself through college and working herself to death.

Callie was recommended to Aaron by his mother and when he met her he knew that he shouldn't hire her because he immediately felt attracted to her. And Callie knew she should have declined the job because she was attracted to Aaron. And even though they both tried to keep it professional it didn't work and they started a relationship
What started off as me simply hiring a nanny was turning into something much different.

But because everything was happening so fast, it was maybe a bit much for Callie she is studying and has been on her own and taking care of herself for so long that she wasn't use to being taken care of. And all Aaron wanted to do was take care of her and just help her anyway he could.

What I didn't like was that a small problem became so big and the way Aaron handled it was maybe not how he should have.
And I felt the ending was a bit rushed for me, but all in all it was a good read.

“You see that?” he asked.
“What?”
“That’s my future in the mirror.”

I received an ARC for an honest review.

Aaron is a single parent and needs a nanny to help with his 4 year old daughter Delilah ... the girl's mother abandoned them a few years ago and he still has not overcome the trauma.

Caliope (Callie) is finishing the course to be a teacher and kills herself to work to keep up. When the opportunity to be Delilah's nanny arises she is unable to say no... even realizing the attraction she felt to the girl's father...

The attraction between Aaron and Callie is irresistible... but even when everything seems to be right, Aaron's traumas and Callie's insecurities can drive them away.

The book has moments that killed me in anger... The characters take time to solve themselves psychologically and apparently the most mature person is the little Delilah.

Although we have a happy ending I think we should have a little more happiness in the end, even knowing that the book is part of a series, the couple will not appear exclusively in another (or will it, Melissa?).

Callie bit off more than she could chew when she agreed to work for Aaron. Not only is he breathtakingly gorgeous, but his wicked sense of humor, rampant sexuality and adorable little girl, take her simple job into taboo territory really quickly. Will the risk turn into a hit or miss? It goes without saying that So Twisted has sex appeal to spare, but at the center of the testosterone driven, hormone fest lies trust issues and outside influence. Heated drama, emotional discovery and sensual overload drive this story of complexity and love.

Melissa is a new author to me. I have to say I love her style of writing and the pace of the book. Not at anytime did I feel the need to skip ahead, I was kept intrigued the whole time. I just had to know what happened. Both Callie and Aaron had issues they were both dealing with and seemed to just ignore it. When it all came to a head it caused major heartbreak and hurt feelings on both sides. But were they able to come together and work it out or was it too much for them to overcome? I highly recommend this one and I'm looking forward to starting the next book.
