An interesting and engaging novel about the intersection of "big law" and "big business".
The novel features an interesting and compelling protagonist, young lawyer Carney Blake (strange name), who manages to get himself put onto a class action lawsuit. Unusual for a firm who typically represents corporations (no matter how sleazy they might be). However, as Blake conducts his work, he comes to realize that his firm isn't particularly clean, either.

The Firm for the 2010s, perhaps? I enjoyed this.

Anyone who has worked in a law firm will shake their head at this one because there are times that. well, it rings just too true. Also a good read if you aren't an attorney.

I have to say that this wasn't really what I would call a 'legal thriller'. It was about a law firm and lawyers so I get the legal part - - but I didn't really see the 'thriller' part. It's an easy to read book and the main character is somewhat interesting, but to me, the story got bogged down with so many legal details that weren't very interesting (just my opinion. Some people might find it fascinating). I enjoyed the family dynamics more than the legal battles but overall, this was just an ok book for me. Not bad, not great - - just ok.
