It’s always a treat full of anticipation when an author gives me another, slightly different look through a bridge or spin-off series, at a favorite series of mine. And Sara Humphreys filled my wish box to overflowing with Undiscovered, the first in the Amoveo Rising series. If you are a lover of Paranormal Romance and you haven’t yet read Amoveo Legend I would strongly suggest that you check that series out. While it’s not necessary to have read the first to enjoy this new series, it will add to your enjoyment of this unique universe. Plus it’s an amazing series, and any time there is a cross over of previous characters or situations they are explained within the current story easily and smoothly so you won’t have missed anything … except a really good PNR series.

I loved Zander and Rena, both individually and together as a couple. Rena has had only herself to watch over throughout the years of being shuttled through the foster system, right up until she ran and took control of her own life. Her unique abilities have always served her well, but in her chosen profession as a private investigator they certainly come in handy. Zander is in a desperate search for his twin brother. Both are dragon shifters, both were once the victim of a nasty piece of work and have been cursed to live apart from their other half. Zen is in hibernation trapped in his dragon form, Zander is trapped in his human form without his dragon powers. Over the long years Zander has had recurring, dream-walking types of dreams where a woman is vital to their survival, he believes her to be his twin’s mate and bringing them together will break the curse, returning them to their natural state. Rena is that woman but Zander never ever expected to discover the attraction, the draw between them, one he is fighting but he will eventually lose that particular battle. The race is on to save two dragons who are coming to the end date of a curse that will destroy them if the solution is not found in time.

Undiscovered is a gritty, intriguing, steamy journey of love in different forms – love for a brother, love for a woman and an epic battle with evil that seems never ending. I was captured from the start and by the ending I was deeply in love with not only these characters but the concept of this new series. I am so looking forward to the next story in Amoveo Rising and would highly recommend this story for anyone who loves Paranormal Romance, a good story and engaging characters.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Zander and his twin Zed have had a curse placed on them. They are dragon shifters and Zander has been stuck in his human form while his brother Zed is stuck in his dragon form in a state of hibernation.

Rena has been different all her life. She can pick up memories when she touches something belonging to another. She grew up in the foster system, always labeled a freak until she ran away for good. Vito took her under his wing, treating her like a daughter and teaching her the PI trade. Her special talent had made her very successful. She dreams of a man and fiery dragons every night. She cannot figure out why she dreams this and they do frighten her.

She is approached by Zander one day, he is hiring her to help find his brother. He will pay her an exorbitant amount of money but there is a condition, he has to be with her. She is not very fond of this idea since she has an immediate attraction to him.

Her mentor Vito is now in a facility as he has dementia. It is a nicer facility and costs plenty. She goes to see Victor since she will be away for up to a week. When he sees Zander, he has a very strange reaction. There is recognition in his eyes, as in Zanders. Rena questions it but Vito goes back to his dementia state and Zander denies anything.

Rena and Zander leave to begin the search and the attraction is really getting to them Strange things are also happening to Rena and she demands answers when Zander only tells her bits and pieces.

He tells her she is Amoveo, a shifter. He is taking her to see other Amoveo so she can learn all and his brother is also located on the property in a cave, which no one else knows. He also tells her that she is his brothers mate and she can save him. This is when she starts to understand why Zander has pushed her away.

Will Rena learn of her true background? Will Zander and Zed be saved? What is the connection to Vito? Who will be her true mate?

I will be the first to say that I am a fan of this author and I enjoyed this story as much as I have her others.

Zander is a typical alpha male but Rena is a tough one also, so they butt heads a lot! She has so much new info to process during this time and Zander doesn't really help when he doesn't want to explain. I don't know which is worse, not knowing enough or knowing too much at one time.

Zander's confusion in this doesn't help. He feels it is his fault that he and his brother were cursed to begin with. And to have feelings for the woman who is his brother's mate?

These two definitely sizzle in the sexual tension area...you could cut it with a knife!

I would recommend this story to all, especially if you are a paranormal fan :) Love the cover also, after you read the story you understand it totally.

Undiscovered by Sara Humphreys will be the third book that I read. With Undiscovered being the first title in her new series Amoveo Rising. This story takes us on a wild journey of self-discovery.
Undiscovered one curse to walk alone and another cursed to dwell as a dragon, for all of eternity. Remind you of a certain movie right! (Underworld) but I hope this series has a happier ending than that franchise.
Zander was once a powerful dragon, until one day a curse rendered him unable to change into his alternate form. Now, he must find a way to break the curse before it’s too late. And he might just have found the answer.
Every night Rena is tormented by being burned alive by a dragon. Until, one night her dreamed changed, and she is saved by a voice.
Undiscovered was a nice pass time to what I would call a boring day. It had a nice plot and great character development.

UNDISCOVERED is the first installment in Sara Humphreys’ contemporary AMOVEO RISING paranormal romance series-a spin of from her AMOVEO LEGEND series. This is dragon shifter Zander Lorens, and private investigator Rena McHale’s story line. You do not have to have read the previous series to understand the story line premise. Any important information is revealed where necessary.

SOME BACKGROUND: The Amoveo are an ancient race of telepathic, dream walking shape shifters who hide their identity behind a human façade. If a male Amoveo has not found his mate by the time he has turned thirty, he will begin to lose his ‘animal other’ and live out the rest of his life as human; if an Amoveo loses his or her mate, they will slowly lose the ability to shift and die a lonely death. The Amoveo’s continued war with the Purists finds the Amoveo and the newly discovered ‘hybrids’ seeking refuge at the Royal compound where shifters and their mates are protected from the outside world. Not all shape-shifters are considered Amoveo, some are ancient cousins thought to no longer exist.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Zander and Rena) using present day, dream walking and memories from the past, UNDISCOVERED is the story of family, brotherhood, betrayal and love. For close to 500 years Zander Lorens and his twin brother Zed have been living a nightmare. Cursed to walk the earth without the ability to shift Zander struggles with the reality that his twin is caught between life and death. Hoping to release his brother from a prison not of his making Zander approaches the woman who has starred in his dreams-the dreams he believes will answer his brother’s cries. What ensues is the building relationship between Zander and Rena, and Rena’s struggle to convince Zander that she is his mate.

Rena is somewhat of an anomaly in the human world. With the ability to ‘see’ the past through touch our heroine uses her abilities to as a private investigator. Orphaned at an early age Rena never found the love of a family until a ‘grifter’ from the street taught Rena how to survive. Zander and his brother Zed are the last of their kind but a 500 year old curse threatens to keep the brothers apart for all of eternity and Zander hopes that Rena McHale is the key to solving their problem.

The relationship between Zander and Rena begins as a business arrangement. Zander believes Rena is his brother’s mate, and her presence will bring back the brother with whom he battles in their nightly dreams. There is plenty of sexual tension and frustration, back and forth as Zander struggles with his attraction to the woman he believes is his brother’s mate. The $ex scenes are intimate but limited.

For fans and readers of Sara’s THE AMOVEO LEGEND series you will be happy to know that several characters cross over for familiarity and cohesion including Dante and Kerry, Prince Dominic and his mate Tatiana, William and Layla.

UNDISCOVERED is a story of heartbreak and loss; one family’s struggle to move forward from the past, and one brother’s mistaken belief that he is to blame for his brother’s trauma. The premise is imaginative and intriguing; the characters are colorful, confident and intelligent; the romance is passionate but struggles with our hero’s inability to see the truth. UNDISCOVERED is an engaging tale of destined mates.

New to me author.
I have to say I truly enjoyed this book. I love when a book has many characters. We get Dragons, Hybrids, and many other types of paranormal beings.

Zander has been cursed along with his twin brother.
But things go from complicated to worse quick.
Rena has no idea what she is. She was placed in foster care at a young age.
So when this big sexy alpha male walks into her PI business she doesn't really believe him at first.

Enter a new world and perhaps new family for Rena with one issue.
She doesn't want the twin they are trying to rescue she wants Zander.
But the feeling isn't returned or is it?

We get a really good first in a new series. I hope to read more in this series.
And although a stand-alone I think If I read some of the authors previous books I may learn more about the characters in this one.

I binge-read the Amoveo Legend series so I would be caught up for this book. Lots of shifter goodness, but I think I got a bit burned out on it just as I started reading Undiscovered. First off though, that title is simply perfect for this book: Rena is undiscovered, dragon shifters are undiscovered, witches are undiscovered, and rather nasty Amoveo (or in this case Vasullus) are undiscovered.

This book was hard to read. There was so much nastiness and ugliness in this book, it pretty much overshadowed the love story. Zander's and Zed's story is an ugly one, a painful one, and filled with fury, jealousy, and spite. It's so full of ugly that sometimes I wonder why the hell Zander even feels guilty anymore.

Rena is your typical (Amoveo) hybrid. She grew up without love, family, or any idea of who or what she is. Her confusion, her anger, and her refusal to accept either her heritage or her mating are not inconsistent with that. Her sudden ease with Dante and family seems rather suspect, except that Zander is such an ass even I would have wanted to get away from him. I liked how she chose to use her gifts, even if the person who led her to them is an ugly, twisted, piece of garbage.

And speaking of twisted pieces of garbage, they do seem to populate the Amoveo. After all, it was that piece of garbage's daughter who all but destroyed Zander and Zed, followed by an ugly nasty witch who cursed them. I tell ya, I'm not sure I want to live in this world. It just gets darker and bleaker all the time.

Zander's martyr complex drove me 'round the bend. I wanted to smack him upside the head so hard. And I really don't think that if the roles (Zander's and Zed's) had been reversed, Zed would have done the same for his twin. But I have a feeling we'll get Zed's story soon enough.

I'm not sure where this arc of the story - Amoveo Rising as opposed to Amoveo Legend - is going to take us, but I'm game to see. I am curious about Zed, despite my misgivings about his character and I am curious to see what happens next in the Purists vs. Loyalists storyline. Besides, now that the dragons are "back", who knows how the Amoveo will react. As for Rena's mentor, I hope he dies and soon. Hopefully we'll get to see that in the next book, which I do want to read.

How in the world have I NOT heard of these Amoveo's and all their glory??? I mean, I AM a PNR lover and this is right up my ally. Geez. I've got some catching up to do. But here's the cool part. I didn't feel like I missed anything from the previous series that this is clearly a spinoff from. And I can't wait to continue this one.

Rena has been by herself for as long as she can remember. She was in foster care for years before she got fed up and just ran away. Why? Because she's different. She sees things that others don't and has never been able to trust anyone long enough to fill them in on her special skills. But after years of having a reoccurring dream (more like nightmare), everything changes and she's finally getting some answers that she's been looking for. But those answers come with a price. What's that? Her heart.

Zander is one of the last of his kind. Well technically, he IS the last of his kind considering his twin brother has been in hibernation for over five hundred years. After a dreadful event all those years ago, both brothers were cursed by a witch. The only way to break that curse is for Zander to find his brothers mate before the anniversary of that dreadful day. But finding his twins mate has started a chain reaction that Zander nor Rena were prepared for. Will they make it to the hibernation cave before it's too late? Will their hearts survive what fate has in store?

I was absolutely pulled in to this story from the opening page. This author did a wonderful job incorporating a dreamrealm and reality (well in the book anyway). The plot was so riveting that I just KNEW with each turn of the page, I was going to get closer to finding out who Rena was, if Zed was going to wake up, if Zander and Rena were ever going to accept THEIR fate and who the hell Vito really was. Although Zander and Rena's story may have concluded, I know who's next and boy oh boy, I can't wait!

'Undiscovered' by Sara Humphreys is book One in the "Amoveo Rising" series. This is the story of
Zander and Rena. Zander and his brother were cursed and that time is almost over that they can break the curse. Zander lost his Dragon Clan powers and is left in human form where his twin brother is left in dragon form and never complicates. But during on of Zander's dreams he sees Rena and his brother speaks one word to her "Mine'. This has caused Zander to think that Rena can possible break the curse. Rena is a Private Detector raised in and out of homes as a child. But finally taken in by a elder man who taught her to be a PI. When Zander walks into her office asking her to help find his brother, Rena is shocked. This was the man who had entered into her dreams and help save her during her dream state. Rena knows there is something more going on her but she agrees to go forward and help him.
This was an exciting read...loved the story and can't wait for the next book in this series!

So just finished reading Undiscovered. I have to say I'm not one for shapeshifter and dragon books, but I did find this to be a good read. Not great because some of the wording, lack of information not giving in the book. For the most part it was a great way to be introduce to this type of fantasy novel. I will be looking forward to the next book in the series.

First off, holy dragon wings! I can't say I liked this, I can't say I adored this, but I can say, I freaking LOVED this book. Loved it hard. I'm a huge fan of Sara's Amoveo series and now adding Dragons, just holly crap, it's made my day, night, week... well you get the picture.

The story of Undiscovered is one that has so many emotions and a helluva lot of wtf moments. And, let's just say, it's true. Dragons are like onions, they have many layers. (I stole that quote of Mushu and Mulan, you're welcome.)

Zander Lorens, badarsed dragon shifter, biker, tall, dark and totally desirable, is a man on a mission. He's running out of time to undo a curse that was set upon him and identical twin brother Zed.

Problem is.... he needs Rena McHale along side him to do so.

Rena McHale is an Amoveo, who is clueless as to who and what she is until tall, dark and desirable, Zander walks into her office. From that moment on her world as she knows it starts to change, molding her into the woman she is supposed to be.

She's supposed to help save his brother. She's the key to unlocking a curse and setting the bothers free. But... what happens when the tables turn and Rena becomes more than the key to their salvation, but a balm to ease all the millennia of aches, pains and disappointments that have plagued Zander. The curse is a catalyst to the real issue.

Saving Zed is Zander's one and only mission, but now, thanks to his own doings, Rena McHale may be just the woman to save them both. To ease the pains of the past and to set a path of redemption and new beginnings for the future.

That is if they survive the tasks they must endure in order to get Zed free... time is not on their side and once the ground starts shaking, all bets are off. It's not only a race against time, but a race against fate.

Private Investigator Rena McHale has an edge over the competition, an edge she keeps buried deep within. Taken in by a kindly man who taught her to be an investigator, the two of them became a family, the only one Rena has ever known. Lately, Rena has been having dreams, strange and terrifying and alluring all at once. In those dreams is a man, someone she has never met, until the day he waltzed into her office, hired her to find his brother and not only shook the foundations of everything she thought she knew, he may well be stealing her heart. Yet, Rena knows there is more to his story and she is determined to find out what it is.

Zander’s existence has been a living nightmare for over 500 years when he and his twin brother were cursed to live their own separate versions of Hell. Each night his nightmares return, reminding him of the brother lost to him, the brother trapped in his dragon form in an eternal nightmare, while he is now trapped in a human body, his dragon form out of his reach. Then one night his dreams changed and she was there. He knows she is special in more ways than one.
What neither had planned on was Fate’s plan of attack with the two of them caught in the crosshairs.

Sara Humphrey’s UNDISCOVERED has it all, a strong-willed heroine, a mysterious hero, incredible and sometimes heart-wrenching discoveries on their journey to save a dragon lost in nightmares. Love the oil and water interplay between these two, as passion soon takes over and love cannot be denied.

I jumped into Undiscovered not sure what to expect. I expected dragons but really didn't know it was a spin off series. While characters came in from a past series, I didn't feel lost. Nope, I felt intrigued enough to go buy to original series.

Zander Lorens and his twin brother were cursed when they fought over the same woman they both thought they loved. Zander is forced to stay in his human form, while his brother was imprisoned in his dragon form, trapped in hibernation. But everything changes when Zander meets someone in his dreams along with his brother. The dream relives the night when everything went wrong, but a new player is in the game: Rena.

Being a PI is an easy career for Rena. Her extra powers of touching items and knowing where people are has made it easy for her to take over the business from a man who took her in and became her mentor. Now in nursing home, she takes care of him the best she can. Now she can't sleep with the dreams taking her in and reliving the night dragons fight over her, but one time it all changes.

Zander and Rena meet and communicate in this dream, convincing Zander that Rena is his brother's mate. His one true love that will save them both and heal his brother. Road trip! Time is counting down and now Zander must deliver Rena to his brother before it's too late for them both, but can Zander stop the lust he feels for Rena and keep from betraying his brother again?

Rena is a feisty heroine! She doesn't really understand her powers, nor what she really is made up of, but she uses her powers for gain. No wilting flower here, but also not willing to be a sacrifice for someone she doesn't know, nor thinks she will love. Fighting her attraction to Zander is something she does fiercely, but also she realizes it isn't the brother she wants, but Zander himself.

Zander has a single focus - free his brother and return them back to the shifters they are. The Amoveo is not aware dragons exist as they were hunted down to extinction after what the brothers did. Zander feels great guilt over it all, but also a stubbornness that often irritated me. He can't seem to believe that maybe Rena is his mate, not his brother. Instead he feels they are committing the same mistake they had so many years ago.

The intimacy of this book didn't get going very fast. It kind of was lack luster until someone made up their minds. We meet other couples within the Amoveo and learn about the half-breeds and what exactly Rena is. The action cultivates into a fierce battle that leaves you breathing heavy and hoping for everyone. We learn just what everyone can do.

I loved each character that I met. The captured my interest and made me want to know more about this world the author created. The heroine was strong and knows what she wants. The hero is conflicted and trying to do his best for everyone, but himself. Evil still reigns on, while Good tries to triumph above all. This is an engaging story that makes you want the next book....like now!

This was an enjoyable book about the last two dragon shifters, identical twins, cursed for the accidental death of a young woman who had been manipulating their affections. Zander was cursed as an immortal in human form, and Zed was cursed to remain in hibernation in his dragon form for 500 years. Only certain conditions could release them, one of which was Zed being released from hibernation by his mate.

Zander believes that Rena is Zed's mate because she can walk in the Dreamrealm with Zed. Rena has psychic powers and believes she's a freak. She doesn't know she's a fox-shifter hybrid, and an Amoveo.

But Rena can also walk in the Dreamrealm with Zander, and is attracted to him. So whose mate is Rena? Zander believes she's Zed's, and fights their attraction tooth and claw. That's the real heart of the book.

Though dragon shifters aren't technically Amoveo, this is probably my favorite Amoveo book yet. I'm looking forward to Zed's story. Are Zander and Zed really the last two dragon shifters? We'll find out.

UNDISCOVERED is incredible! I loved every page of it and couldn’t put it down!

The Amoveo are shapeshifters from ten different animal clans. Vampires were introduced into the original Amoveo Legend world in earlier books and their storyline was the first to spin-off into a new series appropriately entitled, Dead in the City. UNDISCOVERED is the first book in a bridge series across the Amoveo universe introducing us to dragons! Can I just say, I absolutely LOVE the expansion with the inclusion of dragons!!! What else does Ms. Humphreys have up her sleeves?

The book is amazing. The characters are brilliantly written and easily relatable. The heart of UNDISCOVOERED centers around Zander. He’s torn between loyalty to his brother and claiming his fated mate. Zander’s finding it difficult to juggle all these conflicting emotions, I deeply empathized with him. He’s denied and sacrificed his happiness for five hundred years, all to save his brother and himself from a curse. You’ll not find a more loyal and deserving hero than Zander.

Rena is my kind of heroine. She’s fierce and strong, but she’s weird and doesn’t fit in anywhere. She’s been feared, been homeless, been destitute and STILL continues to stand, even when the world knocks her down. Then this sexy-as-sin biker guy waltzes into her private eye office one day and hires her to find his brother, pays the obscene amount of money she’s asking for—in cash—and wants to leave the next day. Rena is skeptical but takes the job anyway. She’s got some freaky magical skills that will protect her in case this Zander guy tries something. But what Rena doesn’t have is the ability to stop fantasizing about the tall, dark and hunky Zander. There could be worse problems…

Again, loved it! I can’t say more without giving away spoilers and I don’t want to! I can’t wait for other readers to experience this new twist on an already amazing world. I’m very much looking forward to the next book in the series! I hope there are more dragons!

He's the man of her dreams
A long time ago, Zander Lorens was cursed to walk the earth stripped of his Dragon Clan powers. Every night, trapped in a recurring nightmare, Zander relives his darkest moment. He can hardly believe it when the dream changes and a beautiful young woman appears. Zander believes she's the key to ending his torment. Finding her in the real world is one thing, but how will he convince her of who-and what-she really is?

She's the end to his nightmare
Rena McHale uses her unique sensitivity as a private investigator, touting herself as a "human divining rod" and finder of the lost. By day she struggles with sensory overload, and by night her sleep is haunted by a fiery dragon shifter. Nothing in her life makes sense, until the man from her dreams shows up at her door with a proposition.

Usually, I love Sara Humphreys and all her books but this one just didn't kick off as quickly as all her other ones for me. It's not that the book wasn't good but I didn't think that it was on par with her other works. I had just read another supernatural book and then I read this one and that one was a 5 star read and this one just fell flat. I think that true fans will buy this book and wait for the next one because true fans do that. Not all books will you like but you'll always like an author.

I was given a copy of this ARC from the publisher on Netgalley for a honest review. All of the above comments are my express opinions and no one else's.

Fans of Humphreys long running Amoveo series are in for a treat. This spin off series showcases the long thought extinct Dragon clan. The sole dragons alive today are Zander and his twin Zed. Zander meets his mate Rhea in his dreams as all Amoveo do but he is convinced she is his brother's mate. Despite their off the charts chemistry he is determined to not fall for her. Grest start to this series!

Undiscovered is a story ripe with loyalty, love, passion, and a bit of mystery, death, and destruction. Sara Humphreys introduces us to twin brothers Zed and Zander, both born of the dragon clan. The kicker is that they were both cursed five-hundred years ago. Zed is in a state of hibernation under the earth in his dragon form while Zander is cursed to stay in human form wandering the earth in search of something to break the curse before All Hallows Eve.

Enter Rena. She is a private investigator with a special gift. She also has a past that has included no real home and no way to know her heritage. Rena is a hybrid of the fox clan and Zander is convinced that she is Zed’s mate and the one and only person that can bring Zed out of hibernation.

This creates one small problem….Zander is completely attracted to Rena and can’t seem to keep his hands to himself. Zander hires Rena to “find his brother” and while they travel to the Amoveo Ranch things certainly heat up! Together they find peace and a place of belonging.

I’ve read each of Sara Humphreys Amoveo novels and they just keep getting better! The characters are engaging and come alive within the pages and there is always a happy ending!

Undiscovered by Sara Humphreys is the start to an exciting new PNR series. This was a pretty quick read and I appreciate the way Ms. Humphreys quickly set up the world while intertwining the action versus all kinds of backstory. That made things move right along and I loved it!

You begin Undiscovered with a series of dreams which you quickly find out is the dreamrealm and actually quite real but it also shows the main female protagonist, Rena, glimpses of a past that will absolutely impact her future.

I thought it was clever to introduce Zander in a way that was more like he was just the messenger and savior, when in reality, Rena was someone much closer to him than a sister-in-law. It created just the right amount of angst and tension to when our doomed couple finally get down to business, I was relieved! Zander and Rena are both characters the reader can relate to ... with their past mistakes and misfortunes, you're just cheering for them the entire book.

I was most worried how things were going to end with Zed. It was pretty obvious Rena and Zander were meant for each other, but I couldn't figure out how Zed was going to fit into things, but Ms. Humphrey did an excellent job setting the stage for book 2, so please, write faster so I can find out what happens to poor twin brother, Zed!

Overall, Undiscovered was a delightful new series that I am eager to continue. I love the world created by the author, the clans, the dragons, psychics. I need more!

I really enjoyed the beginning of the story! You could tell it was a part of a series just from some of the unusual terms being tossed around and the author did a nice job of explaining everything while flowing with the rest of the story. I haven read the earlier books in the series but I found it easy to tag along and was intrigued enough to potentially go back and read the others. The main complaint I have with this novel is the middle. Somewhere in there you as the author know what's true and one of the main character's guesses yet it dragged and dragged until FINALLY the truth (that we already knew) was stated. I just thought that if the pacing there was quicker the book would have been a go to recommend for me. Unfortunately I found the midde to drag so badly that I left the book for a week and read another instead, something I rarely do. Overall I'd be willing to read another work from this author because I did very much enjoy the story, hopefully the pacing is better there.
