Attorney Quinn Jones-Chang's world is turned upside down when her husband dies suddenly. Police rule it a suicide, but Quinn is convinced it is murder. She sees too many things wrong with the situation to believe it and decides to take things into her own hands. As she investigates, she rather coincidentally meets a delightful cast of characters, who just happen to have all of the right skill sets she needs to uncover the truth. I really liked the characters. They're quirky and fun. A couple fall immediately & hopelessly in love with her. The mystery is complex. The action is gripping. The ending is surprising. I definitely recommend this book and hope to see more from this author soon.

Imagine that you kiss your sweet husband goodbye and head off to your office for an ordinary workday. A few hours later, you get a call from the police who tell you that your husband has committed suicide by diving headfirst off your balcony. The is Quinn Jones' situation and she doesn't believe it, not for a minute. Her husband would not commit suicide, so it must be murder. Together she and her husband's best friend, Harry Chin set off to unravel the mystery and find the murderers. Whitehead tells and excellent adventure story with likeable complex characters. The book is fast-paced and exciting, with plenty of believable dialogue. Thoroughly enjoyable.

This mystery was engaging. I felt the character development was strong and fun! I liked her friends, especially Sam with his interest in perfume!

Fast and easy read, and the story held together pretty well. Some facts are gone over in great detail while others are glossed over, but all in all I enjoyed the book and thought it was pretty well written.
