Thanks to NetGalley for my free e-copy of this book. This is a romantic suspense/mystery involving an old curse and a family's quest to eradicate it. Along the way, James and Sam fall in love. A series of coincidences turn out to be not so coincidental, and the suspicious actions of certain characters are not ill-intentioned. The suspense is the perfect amount, for me. There were times when I feared something tragic might happen, but my fears were fairly quickly allayed, and I appreciated that.

Descriptions were vivid and made it easy for me to visualize the seeing. A particular description that I liked was this one: The mountain range was one long sweep of deeper blue, as if an artist with a full palette knife had swept one heavy layer of oil paint across the canvas and muttered, “That'll do.” Overall, this was a well-told story with well-developed characters and a tight plot. I enjoyed it and I recommend it.

For a ghost story, this was actually pretty good. Though I honestly was a bit bothered by Sam and some of her actions. I really did like how she was curious and did not give up on finding out the truth behind why pregnant women are drowning themselves on a family's land. The author did a great job with giving you little crumbs and then giving you the big finale at the end. It wasn't like fireworks or anything but it was good. I am glad the characters get their happy ending. I loved how it wasn't just a ghost story but also a bit of love mixed in and the way it all intertwined was great. I didn't Sam's decision to not tell James her secret I feel as though that was something that needed to be told. I can see why the author didn't do it but it doesn't mean I had to like it. The characters were perfect for each other as they both had many flaws but they didn't let that stop them from being together. As far as James goes I felt that if he was going to be with Sam he didn't need to have secrets either.

This book was great! It had mystery, romance and a good ghost story! I am a big fan of horror and scary stories so I was expecting that but it wasnt scary and I think it is a story that anyone can honestly enjoy. The character development and details were great. I was able to picture the story clearly in my head throughout the entire story. It also drew you in right from the beginning. I couldnt stop reading!

The Legend of Crying Girl Creek has a unique premise. I'm always drawn to stories with Australia as a backdrop. Sam is newly arrived in Australia. She has a one night stand that results in a child. The guy doesn't know. Sam ends up working with said guy later on. He doesn't want kids, so should she tell him about the child? Would you? This story line is strong and engaging. Otherwise, there is a ghost story about pregnant women drowning themselves in a creek. This is the mystery they are working to solve. The ghost story is mysterious and suspenseful. Sam is a strong intelligent woman. The relationship between the two characters is dynamic. They are both flawed but likeable. Overall, this story is a good interesting read. Thanks to NetGalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

I really liked this book. It is interesting and sweet . Sam and James make such a cute couple. Sam is from California and has com to Australia to get a job and get away from her ex . She met James right after she arrived and had a 1 night stand and got pregnant with his child . Then she ends up working with him and he romances her they fall in love . She still has not told him the baby is his. They are working on the mystery of Crying girl. Netta ( James Grandma ) will only talk to Sam .
I really do not want to spoil no more so I recommend you read this amazing book.
