Buzz Books 2020: Romance

I love all the Buzz Books guides so much - but none more than the Romance one! I wait for it all year and download/read the instant I get it! This is such a great way to put new books on my radar and I love the ability to click right to Netgalley requests. I just added so many books to my tbr!!

Love to read these snippets so that I can plan future reads.  Always super useful and a welcome summary of books that have potential to be added to my ‘to be purchased and read’ list.

I loved the excerpt from every one of these authors. Some were old favorites while others were new-to-me-authors I cannot wait to read more from. This sneak peek is a great way to whet readers' appetite for more.

I just love these Buzz Books.  They are so much fun getting a sneak peek at upcoming books, and books I have been waiting to read since I first heard of them!

I am looking forward to getting ARCs of many of these books!

I just love this idea! You get to read exerts from many different books to see if.you will like them.  Most of the stories have a request link at the end and I will admit I clicked on many of them. So many good novels coming out! I requested quite a few, wished for one and added some to my TBR pile! The best thing about Book Buzz is that I am exposed to books I normally wouldn't even look at and that expands my comfort zone.  I love finding new authors and am usually pleasantly surprised when I request a book from Book Buzz that is outside my normal genre and wind up loving the book!

I always love these catalogues. They make me aware of books that I had no idea we're coming out. I requested a handful of titles thanks to this catalogue and I cannot wait to read them!

It's always a treat to get these!  It's a great way to see what's going to be published in the coming months.  AND- there are links!

I enjoyed reading these excerpts of upcoming books! Now let’s hope the books I wished for will appear in my dashboard! 😊

I love these previews of upcoming romance novels! So many wonderful stories to look forward to. However, two stories in particular stood out as my favorite and most anticipated: the roommate by Rosie Danan and How to fail at flirting by Denise Williams. I am so so excited to read the rest of these books. The anticipation is killing me!

I always look forward to new issues from Buzz Books. I love being able to read excerpts from upcoming books so these are a great way to discover new authors/books that weren't already on my radar. This is an excellent selection of upcoming romance and I've added quite a few books to my TBR!

I adore these little Buzz Books! I think they’re such great ways to try upcoming books. The romance version is always my favorite, I especially liked reading an excerpt of The Roommate and Better Than People in this edition. How lucky are we that there's a separate Buzz Books just for romance reads? (Very lucky!)

Unlike the more general Buzz Books, the romance installment just has a table of contents (with a list of authors, titles, and publishers for the books excerpted), introduction, and 14 book excerpts - you won't find a giant list of romance titles here. But, you *will* find excerpts from hot new titles! 

Love interest with a kid, historical romance, forced proximity, enemies to lovers - it's all here. I'm particularly excited for How to Fail at Flirting by Denise Williams and Then There Was You by Mona Shroff!

What a time for romance! I’ve been increasingly getting into romance with a feminist perspective or modern day framework with a historical context. Romance is a great way to break up all the literary fiction and I am here for it! Great resource!

It’s always a list of books to preview!

I always read the excerpts that are in the Buzz Books: Romance because It lets me find books that are the best of the upcoming romance books. Plus, it gives me a chance to request a few that would be interesting to read and ones that will be on the best sellers list. I have already put some of the book on my list to buy.

I love getting to read all of the excerpts and sample chapters of upcoming romances. I think this is a great way to get interest in those titles. I look forward to several of these new releases. Thanks for the sneak peek!

Informative preview of upcoming titles for various romance titles. I enjoyed reading some of the previews of the upcoming releases and they made me eve more excited for some of these titles.

It is always great to get little snapshots like this of upcoming books for the Fall. It helps with my Reader's Advisory training and gets me excited to try things I might not otherwise.

I’ve recently jumped head first into romance (specifically contemporary romance) and I was so excited to read a few excerpts of some upcoming releases. A few of these aren’t quite my style, but I was totally hooked on both Rosie Danan’s The Roommate and Jenn McKinlay’s Paris is Always a Good Idea. I’m excited to get my hands on a full copy of these two - I need to know more!

This overview of new releases is quite helpful to gauge which titles might be interesting in the coming months. There is great variety and diversity and I can't wait to dive deeper into some of those titles.

Some fun teasers in here.  I did end up requesting an ARC for one of these, but the real reason I requested this was to see if Melissa Ferguson's new book was available for download, and sadly, it was not.

A great selection of upcoming romance novels for 2020 from numerous authors, with several sounding like they be to my taste.

I appreciate the advanced preview! It's always nice to get a chance to see the first pages of a book to get a clue as to both the plot and the writing style.

I definitely will be putting these on my TBR! A few don’t interest me as much but all sound very good.

Whoever is designing covers of romance novels recently deserves a raise. I have always hated stereotypical romance covers - they almost feel shameful. This preview is FULL of fun flirty covers that I wouldn’t be embarrassed to be seen reading in public. 
There were a few standout previews for me this time around, first, Roan Parrish and Brenda Jackson both have new books coming out, so, those are instant buys. 
Susan Anderson’s The Ballad of Hattie Taylor has a dreamy cover and I love a good historical romance PARTICULARLY one with cowboys. Yum. 

The Roommate by Rosie Danan and Meet you in the Middle by Devon Daniels seem to be proximity romances, with extremely different premises. One a workplace romance and one - well, a roommate situation. Both previews drew me in immediately, and I expect them to be very funny. 

Honestly, this time around, all of the previews seem to be books that I will be eager to get my hands on at the first opportunity. Can’t wait!

Buzz Books are a fantastic way to get a preview of books you may be interested in - even if you don't initially think you will be!  Each of the 14 previews gives you enough of the story so you can get a feel for the plot and the author's writing style, and there's even a convenient link to use if you'd like to request the book.  I'm looking forward to reading several of the books included in this edition of Buzz Books, especially because I found a couple new-to-me authors!

Fabulous collection of upcoming romance novels. So many books I want to read from this and introduced me to a few new authors.

Good insight into upcoming new releases.  As a lover of romance, I loved getting a little sneak peek into some of the new books that will be releasing soon.  Needless to say, my TBR list has increased!

This buzz books 2020 romance is awesome! It was great being able to see a preview of the romance reads that will be coming out.

I'm super excited about some of the upcoming romance novels featured in the Buzz Books. There are at least 7 books that have been added to my To Be Read pile!

Another immediate download, and another winner!.  I absolutely enjoy learning what to expect..  Since I am a huge lover of romance, having a dedicated issue for this genre brings me such happiness!.  For those new to Buzz Books, you will find included a summary of books that will release during a particular season for a particular genre or age group.

This is such a great resource to what is coming out next! I love the selection that they recommend since patrons and coworkers will definitely be drawn to the selection. I also like how there are summaries and first chapter samples so you can get an excellent glimpse at whats to come!

I am most excited for: Paris is always a good idea, and the roommate!

This was such a delight to plunder thru! I found several books by new to me authors that I totally want to read soon. Getting to read the first bits of the books helped so much!  Obviously all of them didn't turn out to be my cup of jam but still it was so much fun getting a heads up on the ones I did pick out to request/and or purchase when they released! It's so convenient having the links right there to request if we like it as well!

Such a fun ways to figure out my taste! and I read some great excerpts in this collection. I'm hoping to find my favorite romance books among these. Can't wait.

I absolutely love every edition of Buzz Books! It does cause me to add way more books to my TBR pile, and my phone is also full of way too many screenshots of future releases, but it's worth it!

This is a great sampler of upcoming romance novels. This is a perfect book for romance lovers that want a small taste of a new novel before actually buying it. Some of the stories were not really my taste, but I enjoyed the diversity of stories offered.

Romeantically Challenged by Marina Adair

This one looks like a fun book. Asian American heroine who’s every ex found their soulmate after dating her ends up in a cabin with a tough photojournalist. 

The Ballad of Hallie Taylor by Susan Andersen

A daring young woman pushes back against societal constraints in a feminist, coming-of-age Western romance from. Historical western romance. Neither are my thing but some people like them.

Searching For Rose by Dana Becker

Heroine’s sister disappears and while In Amish Pennsylvania, telling the police she has been missing, Amish Hero speaks up and says he saw her. While trying to solve the mystery, he is her one ally in the secretive and possibly dangerous community.

The Roommate by Rosie Danan

The family of the heroine is infamous and she set out across the country to apartment share with her former neighbor, the guy she has been in love with forever. Instead, she ends up living with the Hero of the story and her living situation might be more scandalous than what her family has done. This one looks like my kind of book. Though I think because of the family she will probably resist falling for him and getting intimate, so I am not sure how steamy it will be.

Meet You In The Middle by Devon Daniels

Hate to love story that takes place in Washington DC. The heroine is an aide to a female senator and trying to get a child care bill passed. She reaches out to the Hero who works for another senator to try to get him on their side, sparks fly from the get-go and the heroine is none to happy with the Hero. This is billed as an opposite attracts book and I do like the enemies to lovers trope. But I doubt I will read it because the political arena bores me to tears. I don’t want to read about it

The Cul-de-Sac War by Melissa Ferguson 

The first meeting between the Hero and heroine in this one was truly a meet cute, that is until she sees him with another woman curled up next to him in the theatre where she is acting onstage. The very short summary said this was about two enemies that live next door to each other, but I was reading the first chapter and didn’t see that yet. I was really liking it so I decided not to read further. I will wait until I get the book.

Follow Your Heart by Brenda Jackson

Heroine is a talk show host, Hero is a Senator. I hope this one isn’t more about their jobs than the romance. Like I said before, I hate books about politico’s. The beginning has a lot of talking politics, the senator is on the short list of party hopefuls and his mentor reminds him there has never been a U.S. President that wasn’t married. So I doubt this book will be too overly political.

Paris is Always a Good Idea by Jenn Mckinlay 
Rom-com where the 30 year old heroine retraces her gap year trip through Europe. After just reading that in the summary, I am wondering why someone who just hit 30 would retrace a trip she had already done. I don’t know about you, but when I was 30 I felt like I just barely got out of high school and college. The heroine freaks out when she finds out that her father is getting married. He opens her eyes to the fact that she hasn’t done anything with her life but work and she has put so much into her work at the expense of everything else in her life.

Better Than People by Roan Parrish

MM Romance with anxiety ridden Hero who prefers pets to people. This premise kills me “When the countdown to adopting his own dogs is unexpectedly put on hold, Simon turns to the PetShare app to find the animal TLC he’s been missing.” The other Hero is in an accident and while in the hospital he needs some help with his pets. That is why he turns to PetShare. So I guess I really like this meeting. The meeting is my favorite part of a romance novel. Though, I generally don’t read MM unless there is an F involved, I might give it a try.

A Duke, The Lady, and a Baby by Vanessa Riley

Historical romance, so not my thing. Here is the premise: “an Afro-Caribbean heiress and recent widow finds herself falling for the dashing Duke who was named as a guardian to her son.” After her husband’s suicide and some very dark times, the heroine loses everything, including her son. She ends up getting hired as her son’s nanny. The Guardian is a wounded military Hero.

Then There Was You (HQN) by Mona Shroff

Damaged Helicopter medic falls for Kindergarten teacher Of Indian descent, who works at a bar to supplement her income. The heroine is getting over a break-up and the Hero saw her a while back and couldn’t get her out of his mind. I got engrossed in the story right off the bat. I think this one might be good, but it needs a good cover. 

How To Fail At Flirting by Denise Williams 

Heroine Naya suffered past abuse and meets Hero Aaron who makes her laugh. The University where she is a professor is going through a reorganization and he works for the consulting company who decides which jobs are being cut. Heroine’s abusive ex returns to town at the same time and he is a professor as well. Could be a good one. With this title and the drawn cover that I usually associate with rom-com’s I was a bit surprised the beginning of the book sounds a bit dark.

Scandalous Secrets by Synithia Williams

Hero Byron has just won the senate primary and is set to marry a woman that would be the perfect senator’s wife. However, his Senate bid is about to be derailed by a rumor that he is a deadbeat Dad. Byron helped his friend Zoe out of an abusive situation years back by putting his name on the birth certificate of Zoe’s daughter. Now they need to work together and the chemistry between them is explosive. 

The Way You Temp Me by Elle wright

The Hero is a former child star who expected to be promoted to Talent Manager in his fathers company, but his father instead promotes the heroine who is doing well in the company and modeled her career after the father. The Hero bought a ring and is ready to marry the woman he is proposing to. However, the woman dumps him for a star basketball player and he finds out because it is a headline in People magazine. Not really my kind of book, I like strong men who are at the top of their game, I want to read about someone who could take all my troubles away, not someone who has so much of his own. But that is just me.

After reading this I wonder where they got these as “Buzz Books” I haven’t heard any buzz about any of these books. I think this book is a tool to create buzz for these books so maybe that explains the title. Anyway, I did notice a lot of diversity in these books so that is one thing I thought was great. They weren’t all white heterosexual couples, so that is one thing I enjoyed. I wish there were more that I plan to read, but that is just my personal preference. I hope this review helps to garner some attention for these books.

Buzz Books 2020: Romance by Publishers Lunch is a great reference for me as a librarian. I will definitely recommend some of the titles to my patrons who anxiously await the latest and greatest in this genre.

In this issue of Buzz Books Romance there are 14 excerpts of a range of romance novels coming out over the next few months. Romance novels are a funny thing. Some of them follow the trope of guy/girl meet, there’s tension - they either can’t stand each other or have to stay away from each other, and of course you are guaranteed a happy ending. Some have steamy scenes and some are very PG. For the most part, I am not interested in this kind, although every once in a while I can get into one of these stories.

This sampling offers some of these types, there is historical fiction, a few LGBTQ stories, an Amish story (yes, this is a type), some more humorous offerings and other general stories. I tend to gravitate towards the stories that have the woman off on a personal journey, usually relocated to a small town, hopefully coastal. Then, even though she isn’t looking for it, love finds her. 

I did end up adding a few to my list that I’m looking forward to. I really love these Buzz Books because you can get a sense of what the novel is like. This really helps in making better choices on books that you want and not wasting time or money on those you don’t.

This is a great introduction into some forthcoming fabulous and diverse romance books out this year.
I've added loads to my TBR list and discovered a whole host of new authors.

I always look forward to reading the Buzz Books overview of what books are going to be released. Publishers Launch does a great job of aggregating new releases. I especially appreciate the specific genre breakdowns, and romance is one of my favorites!

New Orleans is my favorite get away and any book that reminds me of what it means to miss New Orleans is a winner.  If that same book is written by Mrs. Brenda Jackson, how can the reader loose.  Vanessa's observation walking into the bakery, "Victoria Madaris entered Susan’s Bakery and immediately inhaled the aroma of beignets. They smelled divine and....," (B. Jackson), makes the reader long for more observations of this Southern city. I can't wait for the entire book to be published for the public.  My library patrons love Mrs. Jackson's books too!

I definitely enjoy reading previews of a bunch of romance novels coming out throughout the year! This is a great way to get a feel for what you may like and want to pick up in the future.

This is my first Buzzbook. I thought it was just going to be a list of upcoming books, which is right up my alley anyway, but this is so much better than I thought. I love that it is a book of book excerpts! What a great way to introduce a book and give the potential reader/reviewer an idea of whether to read it or not. 

While I'm not typically a romance reader, I found some books here that I think will be very good. I especially like the historical romance selections.

I will be getting all the Buzzbooks from now on. I highly recommend them!

The Buzz Books Romance review is always a highly anticipated one. It offer insight to books that may or may not be in my radar. With the fourteen novels mentioned I am eagerly waiting for the chance of an ARC from these tiles.

A great, well-rounded list of different types of romance. So many of these will go on my watch list. I appreciate the inclusion of bi-racial relationships and LGTBQ+ stories.

Love being able to read a bit of the chosen books. Romance can be hard to just pick up. I feel the tone has to be just right, so reading a bit is a great way for me to decide if I should give it a try.

I really enjoy getting the opportunity to see the Buzz romance novels of 2020. It adds new authors and titles to my TBR and gives me snippets if I am unsure of a book.

This is an extremely helpful resource to plan for upcoming releases. I appreciate the breakdown by category, as well as the excerpts from each book that help you better assess whether the book is of interest beyond just the blurb. It's also very useful to have the NetGalley request link and the publisher's publicity contact information for each book readily accessible to enable easy reviewing!

These Buzz Books never disappoint! It almost feels like Christmas reading them! Plus the direct links to NetGalley are amazing!

The excerpts are such a treat, and having the links right there is so handy. I’ve already read The Roommate in its entirety, and I can’t wait to read the other titles, too!

I was looking forward to reading THE ROOMMATE by Rosie Danan before, but after reading the sampler I immediately went to pre-order the book. As I am studying to be an archivist, it was refreshing to read about a narrator who went to school to be an art historian, as they are a rare find in books these days. Not only that, but the banter between the two main characters, Josh and Clara, was downright captivating, and the romance trope was a particular favorite. I can't wait to see how the relationship unfolds as the story progresses.

Such a helpful guide. I read primarily romance novels and it's exciting to see so many interesting ones coming out this year. I look forward to reading many of these. Thank you so much!

Really useful for new releases - I love reading the excerpts especially from debut authors to get a sense of the writing style. My TBR list now includes a lot of books I wouldn't have known to include. Look forward to reading more.

Love reading the excerpts. Reading the Blurb and the cover can make you really want to read a book,  but a excerpt can set it in stone if you really want to add it to your TBR list.

This is an excellent collection of books. Almost every single book is now on my to be read list.. The ones I most look forward to reading are 'The ballad of hattie taylor', 'how to fail at flirting', 'scandalous secrets', and 'the way you tempt me'. I look forward to the next collection of buzz books because it is obvious they put together an assortment of their best publications.

As always the list is amazing. If you love this genre and need some recommendations you should definitely read this.
I’ve already said this in another review of ‘Buzz Books 2020’ but the thing I love the most about this list is that for each book there is an excerpt for 1-2 chapters, which can help you realize if you’re gonna like the book, because sometimes the blurb isn’t enough! 
I loved so many books and can’t wait to read them! 
Some of them I already had on my TBR because I saw them on netgalley but didn’t get them in time.

I haven’t heard of many of these books, but several of them look good, based on the excerpts. I’m especially excited about “A Duke, The Lady, and a Baby”!

Buzz books,2020 Romance By Publishers Lunch 

This is a quick snapshot of how NetGalley operates and there system. Then it’s a look at upcoming Romance books coming out that is a wonderful mixture of fresh new authors and established authors. I think it’s a great way to get a synopsis of titles and authors that you might not normally have considered because so many books come out on a daily basis, but this just gives you a chance to view a select mixture!  I hope to get The RoomMate , Paris is Always a Good Idea and Follow Your Heart! I normally would not have chosen these books, but I hopefully will get them, if not I have them in my calendar to purchase because they sound fun and interesting!

A great resource for finding your next TBR book.  
I used the summary to decide whether I cared to read the first chapter..
and the First Chapter to decide If that book was headed for my TBR list.
This collection held a good variety for reading choices.

Amazing collection. I totally recommend every romance reader to check out this collection for upcoming books they may not know about. I know I found a few new to me authors here.

There are many interesting books in this selection. I am looking forward to reading most of them. You can't go wrong with this book.

I recently learned about this publication that provides excerpts from soon-to-be -published books. It is a handy way to preview books that might interest you and to learn about new authors. I am always looking for new authors to read and for new approaches to the romance genre. I will be looking forward to reading this each time it is published.

I love Buzz Books. They're free, what's not to love about that, and there are several chapters in each sample, enough to evaluate whether you'll like a book or not. I found four to request ARCs of: The Cul-de-Sac War, ROMEantically Challenged, The Ballad of Hattie Taylor, and the Roommate. I would have requested more, but my TBR list was getting too long!

There's something for everyone in this edition. LBGT, animal lovers, western romance, Caribbean romance (?), an Amish mystery, truly a little bit of everything.

I’ve been hearing about A Duke, the Lady, and a Baby and was very excited to read an excerpt. I found the beginning a bit tricky to follow, but I am intrigued. There is a lot to unpack here, and I believe more would be explained in chapters to come. So far, I don’t see a lot of emotion from the main character, I would hope for more. I might check this book out, but it would be based more on external interest than on these first chapters.

How to Fail at Flirting

I love a heroine who shows the difficulties of research and academia and I also love a story in which her career plays a significant role.  This sneak peek teased friendships with my kind of humor and a story about the heroine finding herself again. I definitely want to read this book! 

Better Than People

The start of this story was almost too graphic for me, and the number of animals was a bit much to keep up with. I’m curious about Jack and Simon, but not feeling like I need to pick this up right away.

The Roommate

I have heard from trusted sources that this book is right up my alley and the first two chapters have definitely caught my interest. I find the family curse intriguing, the unrequited love for the absent best friend very easy to relate to, and I can’t wait to see our heroine open up! I am dying to read this book.

This was a great way too see what books are coming up. I can’t wait to read more if Romantically Challenged, Follow Your Heart, How to Fail at Flirting just to name a few.

A nice overview of upcoming titles, and it is nice to see a blend of familiar names and debuts! I particularly enjoyed the excerpt for How To Fail at Flirting by Denise Williams.

Loads of fun reading the first few chapters from several romance authors, many completely new to me. I especially enjoyed Paris is Always a Good Idea by Jenn  McKInlay. Ms. KcKinlay is my new favorite romance author and I look forward to finishing her latest release. Thank you for the opportunity.

Great preview of upcoming titles.  There are titles to appeal to any romance reader.  So many to recommend to my library and our patrons!

I always love this preview of what to look for in the year!  Amazing tool.  I hope it keeps coming!  It is my opinion that every reviewer should read this before each year to give a more in depth look at what is coming up.

They hype is real! I felt like the included books were straight out of my TBR list. Reading excerpts of some of the novels already on my TBR list made me want to read the rest. 
I'm especially looking forward to: The Roommate by Rosie Danan, The Cul-de-Sac War by Melissa Ferguson, How to Fail at Flirting by Denise Williams and Then There Was You by Mona Shroff. 
Books already out that I will finish: Scandalous Secrets by Synthia Williams and A Duke, a Lady and a Baby by Vanessa Riley.

This is my first time reading the Romance edit of Buzz Books and I'm so glad I finally did! I've got so many exciting reads lined up thanks to these excerpts. I especially love finding debut authors this way, and appreciate the diverse selection included here. Please never stop making these guides!

Always so happy to have these samplers - great way to get a taste of what's coming , and I enjoyed that this one was romance themed. I tend to only pick up contemporary romance (the Christina Lauren/Jasmine Guillory type with illustrated covers), so this encouraged me to stretch a bit.

I love when NetGalley offers these anthologies!   It's perfect for me to be able to see what I may want to add to my TBR list for the upcoming season.  I  whipped through this one particularly fast.  There were about 14 samples stories and each one is usually the first 2 chapters.  It's just enough to get you hooked if the writing is good.  I ended up requesting a full galley of 6 different books so fingers crossed.  I was  super excited to see some of my favorite authors liked Marina Adair, Brenda Jackson, and Susan Andersen included.  The subgenres of romance in this book covers everything from Contemporary, LGBTQ, and Historical. I was also very impressed with diversity of the characters in the books as well as the writers.

This is a wonderful collection of various romance novels from contemporary romance to historical romance that appeals to many readers.

Some readers prefer historical romances.  Some readers prefer contemporary romances.

Wonderful introduction to new romances that I may want to read.

I know why I love these Buzz Books and this one on Romance did not disappoint. It just grabbed me into it from the very first book - Romantically Challenged...funny, poignant, and every girl's dreams gone awry. An awesome way to read other authors who you haven't heard of yet. Thanks for the compilation! My favorite was the Roommate story.

I'd heard some hype about the NetGalley Buzz Books collections, so I was really glad to nab the Romance one! Of course, my TBR list is now another mile long, but I'm not at all upset about that. :)

A sneak peek into 2020's romance publishing list that allows readers the chance to try out stories and authors before purchasing is brilliant. A lot of different (and often own) voices call out in the collection.

Roan Parrish's "Better Than People" showcases an independent man in need up help after an emergency. Jack needs someone to help care of his pets while in recovery and Simon, the answer to his pet-helping prayers, learns to love the oddball menagerie of stray animals needing affection. In 2020, the idea of affection and unconditional love rings loud..

On the other side of the idea of stepping into an already functioning family unit (pets count!), I particularly liked Marina Adair's "Romeantically Challenged." Simply based on the heroine's voice and need for a change as well as a forced proximity in a way that stands out. Rosie Danan's "The Roomate" highlights what happens when plans are derailed and you're forced to depend on yourself to find a new path. And get a bonus hunky roommate.

Synithia Williams's political romance ("Scandalous Secrets") features a man who made the right choice at the time but now may face a heavy backlash...and destroying his progress. The same bright star attached to the politician's name may rip the anonymity and peace of the woman he tried to save. Meanwhile, Brenda Jackson draws you into Louisiana and a close-knit family in "Follow Your Heart." Bumps and turns that could break the political world apart or set it afire in all the best ways. A woman willing to trust on faith and a man looking to move forward in his sphere...but only for love. And that's just from the preview!

Speaking of setting the world afire, "Paris is Always A Good Idea" shows how blended families don't always heal easily from trauma. Jenn McKinlay sets up a perfect need for a getaway, to grieve, while finding the brightest spots in the future. In Vanessa Riley's "A Duke, the Lady, and a Baby," Patience refuses to let grief overtake the need to protect what's hers in a society that despises her own power and grit. Something that resonates easily with readers. Similarly, Denise Williams uses abuse (content warning) to explain the heroine's resistance about dating yet not letting the past be the victor. "How to Fail at Flirting" intrigues me.

Elle Wright's "The Way You Tempt Me" story is about a man looking for a future with a woman he admires, only to be dumped by the A-list actress in a very publicly humiliating way. Then he loses something else he wants. So how can he recover when his own family doesn't believe in him?

I always love the buzz books previews to get excited about upcoming books and I'm glad that they have one just for romance.

I enjoyed reading through this compilation of the romance books, I found so I would have read anyway, but I also found so I would not have read, but reading it here piqued my interest to want to read the entire book.

Great way of reading short samples of forthcoming titles without committing to the whole book. Also guess broader idea as to what genres re going become popular

As this is a sampling of (at the time of reading it) upcoming romance titles, obviously I treated this more as market research than as a singular title to be reviewed. However, I want to make it clear that I so appreciate these Publishers Lunch collections; they are an incredible resource for keeping up to date on the year's titles by genre. More than once, I have finished an excerpt with a cry of "wait, that's all??" and then can't believe that I have to wait until the book's publication. Please keep always providing these, reviewers thank you.

Once again I loved this year's Romance Buzz Book!  It is chocked full of every type of Romance you could ever ask for; Contemporary, Amish, Western, Suspense, Historic, etc.  This is the best way to find new authors and new styles every year!!  Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read it again this year!!

I love the way that Buzz Books shares so much of new releases (when you get it before the books are out, that is.) and look forward to reading more of some of the books mentioned.

It was so nice to be able to read excerpts from each of these books. I discovered new to me authors that I might not have otherwise known about. 
I also tend to only read contemporary romance but after reading an excerpt from a historical romance and totally loving it I am definitely going to be expanding my book horizons in the future.

Good mix of previews and what to expect.It gave me some good ideas on what I wanted to read.  It was great to see more diversity. You can't go wrong with Brenda Jackson and Vanessa Riley.
