So, I went into this one thinking there was NO way that I would love Devraj and Iz as much as I loved Evie and Mateo because Evie is my fictional soul sister and I enjoyed their story SO much. I am happy to say though that was totally wrong! Iz and Devraj now hold an equally special place for me.

Don’t Hex and Drive was swoony and sweet with great chemistry between our MCs. I enjoyed this journey with them and I CANT WAIT for Violet and Nicos story.

Don’t Hex and Drive by Juliette Cross, Author

#ComingSeptember

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

‘“I was going to ask you” - he scraped his sharpened canines along my shoulder, pulling aside the strap of my sleeveless dress- “if you wanted me to f*** you hard or nice and slow.” Another scrape of his sharp teeth then a soothing sweep of his tongue. “But I’ve figured out what you need.”

“Oh, yeah?” I asked, shocked to hear myself panting in his quiet kitchen. “What do I need?”

He stilled with his mouth above my collarbone, tracing the delicate line with his tongue, the smooth piercing a tantalizing caress.

“Everything,” he whispered against my skin. “And I’m going to give it to you.”’

Right now, writer Juliette Cross is my go-to author for all things supernatural romance. In all of her books she manages to incorporate a heavy dose of humour, an incredible array of multifaceted, exciting and endearing characters, plus offer up readers a plot blessed with intelligence, wit, passion, action, magic and mischief, not to mention her scintillating, hilarious and oftentimes scorching hot dialogue. In her latest story ‘Don’t Hex and Drive’ Juliette Cross has managed to include, elevate and expand upon all of these ingredients, dishing up a scintillating supernatural romance that is this remarkably heady and thrilling kaleidoscope of various cultures, personalities and worlds. The magical elements are utterly magnificent. The romance and sex are a spine-tingling, sweaty, thigh-clenching, heart-stopping extravaganza. And the cast of characters are simply beguiling - our hero Devraj and heroine Isadora in particular.

There is this wonderful balance between promoting the supernatural elements of the story, fleshing out the intricate and fascinating details within the different sections of the paranormal world and garnering a spectacular display of romance throughout. It was a slow-burn romance of sorts but the chemistry and push and pull of Devraj and Isadora is a work of pure magic all on its own.

Devraj is probably one of the most subtly sexy heroes I’ve ever had the pleasure of falling in love with. He is so very sophisticated, worldly, dangerous, smooth and full of so many different layers, emotions, thoughts and ideas. He is so many things wrapped up in a hot vampire package. There was not one facet of his personality that I did not love. He had me enthralled, mesmerised and ready to do his bidding from the get go.

Thankfully he meets the lovely and socially awkward Isadora Savoie. Or rather he, ‘bumps into her.’ It’s no secret I am drawn to the quirky, awkward, anxious heroines and that is exactly what Isadora is but she is also so much more than her anxieties. She is kind, funny, selfless, courageous and perhaps a little bit lonely, even though Big John plays a pivotal role in her life. Her soft nature sparks something off in Devraj’s more cynical one. They spark and flare off one another with a sensuality that ignites the pages. Juliette Cross is exceptionally talented at creating stories where our protagonists get to understand each other. They exalt each other's differences. They open up, learn to not only love each other but themselves too. They help each other discover parts of themselves that had been dormant or dead for far too long.

If you’re searching for a supernatural romance that is exhilarating in all ways then please look no further than this extraordinary love story. A story where the magic is plenty. Flowing through the plot, the characters, the dialogue. Weaving its way through each and every word, sewing a pattern of love, lust, danger, excitement and enchantment.

"He reeked of power. His disarming stance and charming smile did nothing to diffuse it. My Conduit magic could detect potent sources of energy better than any supernatural, and this guy was pumping it out in waves. I suddenly wanted him out of our house."

Here we go again. The Queen arrived and delivered yet another masterpiece that left my heart all warm and glowing. I swear, Juliette's books are good for your skin and overall health. Guaranteed satisfaction.

Now, Don't Hex and Drive was the second book in Stay a Spell series and it told a story about yet another Savoie sister. These sisters are so entertaining and funny and their dynamic is just one of the many things I love about this series.

We have a world set in the most mysterious and sexy cities, New Orleans. Add a lot of paranormal creatures into the mix, voila.... Perfection!!!!

I don't want to give out many things as it is a series, however you can actually read it as a standalone as each book tells about a different couple. And people, this is a feel good book with hella sexy scenes and delicious heroes.

Speaking of heroes, can I please have a Devraj because that vampire is the sweetest, swooniest and sexiest babe ever. PIERCINGS ALERT!!!! He totally won me over with this character arc and made me crave his chapters more. I did love Isadora too as I could relate to her more. I really appreciated her characters quirks and could totally get her hang ups. Their chemistry was over the charts and I was burning inside out for them. CAR SEX ALERT!!!!

Please, do yourself a favor and pick up this series by the amazing Juliette Cross. She never ever fails me. She always puts me in a great mood and delivers the most delicious story.

Thank you for kindly providing me with the e-arc which I devoured in a day.

Okay well first off I just have to say I LOVED this book! As soon as I saw the title I knew I had to read it and I was not disappointed. The story is an enemies to lovers romance with a hint of action and whole lot of steam and I found myself flying through it, unable to put it down. I related so much to Isadora and her socially anxious ways, I was cheering for her and Devraj and I loved how their relationship never felt overly cliche. There are so many vampire romances out there but this one really stood out to be with the banter between the characters and how human they felt in their emotions despite both having power. I'm honestly going out now to get the other book in the series because I need more of the Savoie sisters in my life!!

Juliette Cross is my now official go to for paranormal romance, she can do no wrong in my eyes.
Y'all... The sexual tension in this book is fire! Devraj Kumar is on level of his own hotness. I usually never blush while reading the steamy parts of romance but, oh boy did I with this one. It is a little bit of a slow burn but then it ignites.
The mystery aspect of this was also great and learning more about Cross's paranormal world with witches, vampires, werewolves, and grims. Violet and Nico's book is next but it won't be out until summer 2021. I have a feeling Jules and Ruben's is going to be the last one and the suspense of me wanting their book is agonizing.

“Darling? Lover? What was he talking about? Wait. Was he flirting with me? What nerve.”
Juliette Cross is dialed into the sweet spot of Paranormal Romance. Don’t Hex and Drive, the second book in the Stay a Spell series, Juliette Cross perfectly combines all the elements of a fun, and un-put-downable contemporary paranormal romance story: sweetness, silliness, sexy heat, and some mystery.

Isadora is a character that you instantly like, and understand. She’s socially awkward, but once in her element and out of the spotlight she’s a force to be reckoned with. Isadora is a witch who cares about everyone around her person and animal alike…that is until she gets hit by a car driven by a hunky vampire.

Devraj Kumar is sent to New Orleans to help the supernatural community figure out a string of disappearances. Instead of hitting the ground running, he hits Isadora and his world is flipped. I loved seeing the mighty Stygorn hunter become a besotted fool in the face of Isadora. I think this is what makes this story so great. Isadora has strength, but it is inward and she rarely shows it. Devraj is known for his strength and yet is like a puppy dog when it comes to Isadora. Part of what makes this story so endearing is that you can understand why Isadora wants Devraj but has reservations. These reservations are also a huge part of the charm of Devraj, because for being a smart Stygorn hunter, Isadora leaves him scrambling to how to make her his own.

Getting to know a new couple and watch their journey unfold on the pages of Don’t Hex and Drive was addicting and I found myself both wanting to savor the words and devour them in one sitting. Talk about some cognitive dissonance but in the best way. Don’t Hex and Drive is fun, and full of steamy chemistry. If you think you don’t like Paranormal Romance, I challenge you to read this book, as well as the first book in the series—Wolf Gone Wild.

Don’t Hex and Drive will be available for to read on September 8th! Pre-order your copy now!

I was so lucky to get this book as I have read the first In this great series & was waiting for this one which did not disappoint.
From the first meeting where Devraj bumped into Isadora & the subsequent interaction between them this was a winner. They were just wonderful together especially with how prickly Isadora was towards the super confident Dev. He had to really work hard to get to know her & to gain her confidence.
There was a lot of verbal sparring & some really funny scenarios that had me laughing out loud.
I also was super excited to be back with all the witchy sisters who all have great personalities & clearly there are many more stories to come.

After Wolf Gone Wild I figured the next story would be of one of the Savoie sisters. However, I expected it to be about the hilarious Violet or the eldest sister Jules. Because there was some serious tension between her and Ruben. But no: this next book is about Isadora. She is the least outspoken of the sisters, and she tends to stick to plants and animals. Because she is a very introvert witch.
She, however, gets hit on her bike by a vampire. A smoking hot, extravert vampire. Notorious Bollywood actor Devraj Kumar. Not accustomed to being rejected, Devraj is immediately intrigued by the shy witch. And he is going to use every trick in the book to get to know her better. Even getting Isadora involved in the finding and rescuing of the missing humans and vampires.
And although Isadora is reluctant to spend time with the vampire, she learns that there is more than meets the eye. Behind the eye-candy, Devraj is actually a very thoughtful and caring person. Can they find the missing people? Will they be in time to save them? And even better: will Isadora ever learn how to drive?
Five out of five hilarious stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc. And I was very happy to read that the next book in the series will be about Violet and Nico. Yihaa!

This book was provided to me from Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

Juliette has done it once again! Creating a sweet paranormal romance brimming with danger and adventure!
Jumping right in, I adored this book! Isadora was so easy to connect to due to her love of plants + animals, caring attitude and a shy personality. Devraj was such a hot throb (lemme tell ya haha). His Comforting and unique personality linked right up with Isadora perfectly! Plus who doesn’t love a good book with a sexy Vampire? It was also great to see some of the characters from the previous book (Evie + Mateo)!
Besides the characters, this fast paced plot had me guessing if the Vampire killer would be caught at every turn!

All in all, I loved this book and I CANNOT wait for the 3rd book in the Stay a Spell series! Juliette Cross is a Queen in writing paranormal romance!

I loved this book so freaking much!

I just adored Isadora from the first moment she started talking to her Pansys. She was so relatable and effortlessly giving and kind hearted. Devraj was super charming but also so considerate and caring towards Isadora and those he cares about. I also loved how different he was from some typical heros and how Juliette was able to really fill out his background and Indian culture. He was totally in to Isadora from their first meeting and I'm always a sucker for a hero who lets his emotions for the heroine shine.

I thought the light mystery aspect was done really well and it did a great job of bringing together the main and side characters.
The Savoie sisters and really all of the side characters are hilarious and so endearing I am desperately hoping we will get a book for everyone! The setting of New Orleans was kind of a character on its own, and so much fun to see.

The push and pull of our couple was just perfection with banter, steaminess and so much chemistry!

The series really reads to me like a wonderful small town romance with so many quirky and unique characters mixed with a paranormal romance that makes for the perfect escape!

The ARC version of this book was provided by NetGalley and the author. All opinions expressed are my own.

Don’t Hex & Drive
I was so excited to get this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review! Ever since I read the first of the series, Wolf Gone Wild I’ve missed being in the world of the Savoie Sisters. Each sister brings her own powers, talents and humor to the table and I absolutely love it. Juliette Cross describes not only a fantasy world of vampires, witches, werewolves and so much more but a family that you want to be a part of.

This story is based around a Bollywood Superstar named Devraj and a reserved, greenhouse lover witch named Isadora. While it seems they are total opposites and are always butting heads their is curiosity about each-other neither of them can ignore especially since the two of them have to work together to solve a vicious crime.

Between the delicious Indian food Devraj whips up, the Savoie Sisters intriguing witch work and the all the steam- you don’t want to miss out on Juliette’s newest book!

Don’t Hex and Drive is book two in the Stay a Spell series by Juliette Cross. In this book, we are going to focus on the quietest Savoie sister, Isadora and a very sexy vampire who has his sights set on her.

Isadora Savoie will tell you she’s not a hermit, she’s just introverted. Her sisters are all outgoing, but she prefers to stay in the background, working in her greenhouse, using her flowers and herbs to make healing balms and teas. Isadora and her sisters are witches, all powerful. Isadora is a conduit, she can heal. Her other passion is visiting the adorable pets who reside at the town’s animal shelter. She loves spending time there and giving the dogs just a touch of her magic to heal their bodies and souls.

Devraj Kumar is a three hundred year old, powerful Stygorn vampire, one of an elite group of vampires with very strong abilities. Recently, four young women have disappeared in their city and a vampire is suspected as the culprit. Devraj was asked by his good friend and leader of the vampires in New Orleans, Ruben, to help solve the girls’ disappearances.

Devraj moves frequently from job to job where his special abilities are needed. He’s never had anything make him question his life, although secretly he does long for a real home, friends, and maybe even love. As soon as he sees the shy, quiet Isadora, he is intrigued. Something draws him to her, makes him want to know her, to try to draw her out. He can’t seem to stop thinking about her, finding ways to cross paths with her. But then when he finally gets a taste of her, there’s no going back. She’s his. She just doesn’t know it yet.

“There’d been a lot of things that made my pulse quicken over the ages, but a woman’s smile hadn’t been one of them. Till now.”

As Devraj works to get to know Isadora better, a beautiful thing happens, she gains confidence, she finds there are some things about herself she never really knew. And there is one thing I need to tell you here. When these two finally get together, they…are…HOT!!! I might even venture to say that the scenes when these two are together might just be the hottest I’ve read in any of this author’s books! I don’t know if it was their strong connection, Juliette’s beautiful writing, or just the way they made me feel. But there was some serious swooning happening here!

“You don’t want the world to see too much of you. But I see you.”
“What do you see?”
“A lovely woman who knows the meaning of humility and kindness and true beauty.”

Devraj is determined to win Isadora’s heart. But Isadora knows that when the case is solved, Devraj will move on, it’s what he does. Can she just live in the moment, enjoy him while she can? Or is it too much of a risk to her heart?

“She hid from the world, doing her good deeds without the need for notice or praise. I wanted her more with each passing minute.”

I loved this so much. The relationship between these two builds slowly, and at the same time, they are working on finding and saving the four missing girls and taking down the vampires responsible. We also get to know the other sisters even better in this. I particularly enjoy the ongoing chemistry between Ruben and Isadora’s sister, Jules. This is such a fun, smexy, swoony series and I am so looking forward to the next book.

“This woman. Her body. Her soul. I wanted it all.”

OMG! How has this fantastic little series passed me by? I have slapped myself appropriately and have added book 1 to my TBR!

Isadora's magic isn't exactly the stuff of legends. She concentrates more on being a conduit and sharing good vibes with the little lost souls at the rescue charity. She literally bumps into a hottie when he almost runs her over on her bike. He takes her home and soon after they discover they are going to be neighbours!

Devraj is a Stygorn, think Vampire Warrior, he usually goes where the trouble is and as such has been pretty rootless. He made a name for himself in Bollywood, not exactly hiding under the radar!
New Orleans has a problem and magic users are going missing. Devraj has been drafted in to help.

Devraj initially wants to get Isadora into the nearest bed but he soon knows there is more this witch than a one-and-done. She cannot be less interested in his fame, money, or celebrity status. She is making him work for her interest, a true novelty for him. Isador may be a bit timid and shy and a true introvert but that doesn't make her 2 dimensional. She has quirks and flaws and really grabbed my imagination.

All of the Savoie sisters are great characters, especially mouth-of-a-sailor Violet. Jules has Ruben dancing to her tune as she ignores her existence as much as she can! Henry the Grim (and IT tech geek) looks like he will be a really interesting character too.

Can't wait for more!

The sexy sequel to Wolf Gone Wild, Don't Hex and Drive by Juliette Cross is another can't-put-this-book-down gem! The first book brings together one of the Savoie witch sisters with a werewolf, and in the sequel we get a taste of another Savoie beauty and a vampire hinted at in the previous book. Can the quiet, blundering girl finally open up and find a safe place in the bronzed, strong arms of a Bollywood star? Is there more to the suave, fanged hero than meets the eye?

Cross delivered another steamy tale that is as exciting as the previous book yet distinctly different. I couldn't pick a favorite if you paid me to. Both books contain alpha males who lust and love strong, intelligent heroines--but they each have unique obstacles and drama, unique smutty scenes, and unique connections between the couples.

I adored Evie and Mateo from Wolf Gone Wild so much that I didn't think I could love another pair, but Cross absolutely delivered! While Evie is an endearing, silly heroine anyone can love, I found the awkward, introverted Isadora overwhelmingly relatable. I have shared her doubts in men and in myself. I have shared her anxieties over social situations and making friends. Cross' vampire hero of the story is unexpectedly complicated and deep, and aside from the wonderful story, I frequently reflected on how impressive Devraj's character was written. He's believable, and their one-true-pairing and happy ending were tied up nicely. I adored the Hindu culture and food she mixed into the story!

Beyond the steamy scenes we can't get enough of from Juliette Cross, she wound in a compelling drama narrative, supernatural lore, and New Orleans culture. Is it possible for a series to have it all? I will definitely "stay for a spell" in desperate anticipation for the next book which the author revealed will center on Violet and Nico. *shivers* Yay!

I couldn't wait to get my hands on Don't Hex and Drive after reading Wolf Gone Wild and was lucky enough to receive an arc from Netgalley and the author. The Savoie sisters are a family of witches living in New Orleans and they are all wonderfully different. This story is about Isadora who is shy and awkward but also a powerful Conduit, and Devraj, the devastatingly handsome actor and vampire Stygorn who literally knocks Isadora for a loop she wasn't expecting. He's not used to working for the girl but he can't stay away from Isadora and even though she's fighting the attraction, she can't stay away either. This book is beautifully written and the characters and plot are well developed. It is also gloriously steamy and delightfully funny. I can't wait for the next installment in this series!

Don't Hex and Drive was SO MUCH FUN! It was my first paranormal mystery romance and I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to the genre! Isadora and Devraj are loveable, swoonworthy characters and their chemistry truly is off the charts! I loved the plot Juliette weaved, and I loved the romance even more. She made Devraj Kumar the PERFECT book boyfriend, and for someone who is a serious advocate for sexy biting in vampire books, I really appreciated the well-written explicit sex scenes! Juliette's writing is so much fun, I devoured this book in a matter of hours and I'm left with this yearning and longing for more (more books from her, more about her set of side characters and more vampire lovers for myself).

Im so grateful I came across her book on Netgalley and I'm so excited to read the first book in this series now! Thankyou so much for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!

Juliette is absolutely killing it with this series and if you liked Wolf Gone Wild, book 1 in the Stay a Spell series, be ready fall in love with Don't Hex and Drive. And it currently falls as my favorite so far.

Isadora Savoie, I'm pretty sure she's my spirit animal ... person? I like to consider myself an ambivert, but my introvert ways are pretty similar to Isadora's, so I related to her a lot. Plus, I envied her escape to her a greenhouse, I want that. Knowing how much of an introvert that she is, how was the ever so swoony and outgoing hero, Devraj, going to win Isadora over?!

I'm not going to say much about the hero, he's a treat that you'll totally be obsessed with. And with vampires being my favorite, pretty much a win with me ;-)

Juliette definitely gives us the perfect balance, bringing in her older fans and newer ones into her world. I'm so hooked and I can't wait for everyone to get their hands on this one. Loved this book sooooo much and I'm ready for the next one!

Oh my gosh! I absolutely LOVED Devraj and Isadora! This couple lit my kindle on fire and kept me turning pages as quickly as possible.

Isadora was down to earth, sweet, caring and loyal to those she loved, but she did not want to get involved with the Stygorn who seemed to be everywhere. But as they work together to find a group of missing girls, she decides maybe just a taste of him would be okay. I loved how she hooked Devraj right from the start and inadvertently kept him dangling.

Devraj quickly became protective and possessive of the witch that called to him. Even as he’s planning a temporary stay, he’s falling deeper. He had such a great sense of humor and the way he won Isadora over was fun and sexy.

This is a fast read with pretty low angst but lots of steam. The drama is related to the mystery and it does amp up quite a bit as it begins to unravel. I loved seeing characters we’ve previously met as well as catching the carrot that’s dangling for us regarding the next book. I can’t express how much I adore this world Ms. Cross has created! I’m already eager to get the next book, and the next, and the next!
