Bake Away is a celebration of baking's impact on our creativity, self-expression, and personal experiences. It's a reflection of what's important in our lives.

From the delicate Portland Berry Cream Pie to the towering Atlanta Crêpe Cake, Sahana Vij brings you on her journey of inspiration, sharing the simple steps to create an array of delightful desserts, each crafted from personal connections and beautiful memories. Each recipe is accompanied by exquisite food photography and portraits of stunning locations.

Explore an elegant fruit garden in Temescal Valley as you make a luscious Citrus Poppy Seed Bread. Learn a little about Maui as you prepare a decadent Coconut and Chocolate Tart. Share a subtly spiced Chai-Infused Cake, inspired by visits to a prominent tearoom in Seattle, with those you love. Bake Away is more than a cookbook: it is a beautifully written book grounded in family, relationships, and giving.

"Sahana brings her own blend of innovation and artistry to each recipe in Bake Away. She takes us on a journey, demonstrating on each page and with every experience that baking fosters community. Through charitable donations Sahana shows her love to give, reinforcing our faith that food has the power to help others."

—Hunter Lewis, Editor-in-Chief, Food & Wine Magazine

Stunning photography! The photos of the various places featured were at least as attractive and compelling as the images of the delectable desserts. The stories of the various places and memories the author shared with her family were warm and sweet, and the recipes that accompanied them look delicious.

For the most part, the recipes seem relatively simple and accessible for home cooks, with a few exceptions of more ambitious projects like crepe cake and homemade bagels. There's definitely several I can't wait to try, including the coconut cake and the banana bread from Hana.

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

A cute baking cookbook with amazing photography. There are 20 recipes and they're inspired in different locations like San Francisco, New York, Phoenix, Atlanta, and other places. They all look appetizing! I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review

This unique cookbook not only includes excellent recipes but also provides beautiful images of the corresponding recipes. The author has also accompanied each recipe with her inspiration as an introduction for each recipe . I really enjoyed that each recipe is associated with a place as this personally resonates with me. There are certain foods that will always remind me of a specific location and the author using this as a structure for her cookbook is very refreshing to see.

This is such a nice little cookbook. Beautifully photographed, wonderful recipes, I loved the little notes on where the inspiration for the recipes came from.
