Description
It was everything they wanted...and more than they bargained for.
Adam and Jess move into a new house—a rambling Victorian villa at the very top of their price range—with their three young children. Before long Adam discovers a door hidden behind a fitted wardrobe, concealing a secret room . . .
Inside Adam, discovers a collection of forgotten items: a wallet, an expensive watch and an old mobile phone. Jess thinks they should throw them away. But Adam resists. He is fascinated by these items and how they came to be inside the hidden room.
But like the house, Adam has his secrets too. And soon he will find himself setting in motion a series of events that will place his family in terrible danger . . .

I stayed up very late to finish this novel! I rarely give out five stars, but for this, I had to! At first, I worried this was going to be some paranormal book with ghosts, and I was not feeling it, but I am happy to report it's not that.
Then I assumed I knew what was going to happen, how this was going to unfold, but I was wrong about that, too.
I settled in for an excellent suspense that kept me intrigued until the very last page. In short, when Adam and Jess move into an old house, they are excited. But when Adam discovers a hidden room with a dresser containing random items, it starts a chain reaction that involves threatening letters, questionable characters, and doubt over everything.
The characters, pacing, and writing were all perfect. The book flowed; there were no boring parts, and everything about the ending made sense. I could find no faults with this book; therefore, five stars!
The Room in the Attic by T.M. Logan was an addicting and suspenseful domestic psychological suspense that was so fast-paced I was halfway through before I looked up. This was such a great mystery with plenty of shady characters, so it was hard to guess who the culprit was.
Buying a new house should be a great experience, but it was anything but for Adam and Jess. It starts with discovering a hidden room in the attic and some items left behind by the previous owner and quickly escalates to a dangerous game. Adam is pushed to his limit, trying to protect his family while the clock is ticking.
The chapters were well developed, and the chapters were short, making for a quick read. The ending was a twisty surprise I definitely didn't see coming. If you love a dark, twisty psychological mystery, this is a must-read.

This book is a tense and gripping psychological thriller that keeps readers on edge. The characters felt so real and fleshed out.
I could not put this down! I stayed up all night reading, I thought I had it figured out but I didn't! Kept me interested from the very first page.
The Room in the Attic was creepy and suspenseful. The mystery kept me hooked, and the atmosphere made it hard to stop reading. I liked how the twists slowly revealed the truth.
The Room in the Attic starts as a dream: Adam and Jess move into their perfect forever home, old bones, tall ceilings, all that quiet charm money can’t buy. But the moment Adam stumbles on that hidden door behind the wardrobe, something shifts. The air thickens. The house exhales. And from that point on, you just know you’re in trouble.
The discovery of what’s inside, a wallet, a watch, a phone, feels small at first. Harmless. But that’s how the best horror begins, isn’t it? Ordinary objects with stories that won’t stay buried. And soon, you’re not sure if the house is haunted… or if Adam is.
Logan’s writing is razor tight, domestic suspense that feels disturbingly possible. Every page hums with quiet menace, and every chapter ends with that perfect gut punch that makes you mutter “just one more.”
By the end, I was holding my breath, completely unprepared for the truth. This isn’t just a thriller, it’s a full body experience. Dark, suffocating, and wildly addictive.
Without question: Book of the Year.
