This book...what can I say!

Being 28 years old I didn't think I would enjoy this book. After looking into it I thought it would be a book of stories for older women that only older women would enjoy. This is the first book by Brenda that I have read, and I wouldn't hesitate to read another.

This book has blind-sided me into doing something I have not done for a while. I actually laughed out loud but sadly no one was around to witness this mean feat. Who ever thought that a grown woman punching a christmas tree would make me laugh so hard. It was a bizarre feeling, I felt a physical jolt in my heart through the shock!

I can relate to some of the things in the tales in this book. One of which is losing my glasses. I wear mine permanently and often forget I have them on my face nevermind on top of my head!

This book is full of happiness, humour and sorrow and is a good read for women of all ages. Give it a try, there's something for everyone!

Thanks for the laughs and the tears Brenda.

The title and description made me wantbto read this book, due to me getting on in years and been forgetful. I could most certainly see where she was coming from with many of her observations.

I loved reading "Your Glasses Are on Top of Your Head"! The stories are very short. As the reader, I found myself laughing more times than not, as well as agreeing wholeheartedly with the writers comments. I will be recommending this book to many friends.

Rather a mixed bag of humour and heart felt stories of getting through whatever life sends us older women. Vikki Claflin had me in tears with her story. You have to read it. Keeping in mind that these women are in the more "mature" box, (as most of us are described), they poke fun all that life has thrown at them. It is a good policy, and it get them through the worst. Each writer has different style and all become friends by the end of the book. Its not a self help book, or a spiritual one, or for that matter, inspiring. Just a down to earth book about people discovering that whilst they feel the same inside, the outside is not on the same page.

I frequently poke myself in the eye while trying to push up my glasses before I realise I'm not wearing them, I thought it was just me and maybe it is!

You don't have to be a 'certain age' to read and enjoy this book, as you read it you'll see your friends and family in the stories because we all get older and we all have to learn to see the funny side in situations that make us want to give up and cry.

Also, you're never too old to start a new career or a new chapter in your life. Which is what I plan on doing.
