Wanda Brunstetter's books are always a great read. The Restoration is no different. Wanda takes 3 best friends, Priscilla, Leah and Elaine, from the previous books in the series, and brings them together again. The book shows how restoration takes place in the lives of each of these characters through love, forgiveness, patience of waiting for God's will to be shown and truthfulness in the relationships. Will these traits be enough to bring each woman to the restoration they desire? Another excellent gift to her readers by Wanda. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading Amish books.

With jealousy raging out of control, will it ruin lives in an Amish community?
Can forgiveness allow love to bloom? And will trust begin to grow?

These questions can be answered by reading "The Restoration" by Wanda E. Brunstetter. And to help you with one question that you might be having right now, yes, Amish people are just like us, Englishers. They feel and experience the same as we do in their own lives. It's how they go about dealing with their feelings and handling the unexpected that makes them different from us.

I liked that Wanda E. Brunstetter picked up where she left off with the ending of "The Gift". I liked reading what happened next with all of the characters in "The Restoration".

I have been reading Wanda's books for six years and I just love all of her books and characters that she writes about. I love that she writes with inspirational messages that can be used in our own lives that's happening in current time. She writes with an easy to follow, detailed flow, that makes you want to keep reading, to find out what lies ahead for the characters she's written about. I plan to keep reading Wanda E. Brunstetter's books in the future.

I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley, in return for an honest review. This review is my own words and no money was exchanged.

THE RESTORATION has many twists and turns that kept me glued to the pages, Each twist kept me wondering what might happen next. There were a few story lines going on within the story and Wanda Brunstetter blends them together perfectly, providing a wonderful story that certainly leaves this reader satisfied with the ending of The Prairie State Friends series.
Fans of Amish fiction will devour THE RESTORATION. I am sad that this series is ending but I'm very happy Wanda wrapped up all of the characters stories. Wanda Brunstetter has always been one of my favorite authors in the Amish genre because her work always provides inspirational messages while also providing real life issues that happen to take place in an Amish setting.

It's sad to see this series ending but readers will enjoy this book. With all the twists and turns it was hard to guess what would happen in the end. Wanda Brunstetter has woven another delightful tale about the Amish community that readers will love.

The Restoration is the final book in the Prairie State Friends series and I am sad to leave these dear friends behind, but I love getting to the end of stories, even if it isn’t the way I wanted it to end.
Our three friends are back, Priscilla, Leah, and Elaine, and yes they always seem to be there for each other. Leah is now married to Adam and you will love their relationship with the girls, but there is now a new person in their lives, and we don’t know how this is going to end with so much bitterness.
Elaine is in a new relationship with Ben, and he has proposed, will she accept and fulfill her dreams of having a family of her own. The same with Priscilla will Elam ever ask her to marry him? Or will the new guy in town fulfill his dreams and win Priscilla, this is going to be a rock road, and you wonder who will get hurt, and you are surly going to be surprised in the end.
Such a good and fast read, almost two fast, but I had to find out, but then the final page was turned and of course, I wanted more. Enjoy!
I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Shiloh Run Press and was not required to give a positive review

Don't you love when reading a book feels like coming home? That's how this book made me feel. I kept remembering portions of the previous books in the Prairie State Friends' series and it just felt like they were all family to me. Priscilla has two young eligible bachelors vying for her attentions and her heart. But jealousy gets in the way and causes great pain for all of them. Can love ever be restored through forgiveness? Priscilla's friends, Elaine and Leah both have many exciting changes and challenges occuring in their lives as well. Priscilla helps Elaine serve Amish dinners in her home to tourists and both Priscilla and Elaine would love to have a husband and family like their friend Leah. Leah continues practicing reflexology in her home and caring for her husband and his three nieces whom they are raising after the death of Adam's sister and brother-in-law. Adam's mother, Cora, wants desperately to repair the past and make amends with him and be a true grandmother to the three nieces but Adam's heart is hardened and forgiveness seems hard to attain. Readers will thrill at seeing how these and other issues are resolving for the Prairie State Friends. I couldn't wait to get back to my reading of this book tonight after caring for my elderly mom for the day. I also want to share the joy of this book by offering a giveaway of the print copy I received from the publisher. I rate this book 5 stars and highly recommend it to readers. I received a print version of this book from the publisher and a pdf version of it from netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

The Restoration by Wanda E. Brunstetter is the third book in the Prairie State Friends series. It is a beautiful ending to this series of books. It is December in Arthur, Illinois. Priscilla Herschberger is still waiting for her boyfriend, Elam, to propose. Priscilla loves Elam but she would like to know if he does want a future with her (at least talk about it with her). Then she meets David Morgan. David broke his leg in a motorcycle accident and will be staying with his grandparents, Walt and Letty Morgan, in Arthur. David is interested in the simpler life of the Amish and he is considering converting. Priscilla now has two suiters and needs to make a choice.

Elaine Schrock hosts dinners in her home and is going out with Ben. But Elaine is not sure Ben is the right man for her. Elaine has never gotten over Jonah Miller. Elaine and Jonah were courting (going to wed) when Elaine’s grandmother became ill and needed care (she has since passed away). Elaine did not feel it was right to make Jonah wait and broke it off with him (not telling him why or giving him a choice in the matter). Jonah married Sara, a widow. Sara came into the marriage with a little boy named Mark. Unfortunately, Sara passed away recently after the birth of their daughter. Jonah is now free but can he forgive Elaine for pushing him away. Will Elaine marry Ben (whom she does not love) or hope for a future with Jonah?

Leah Beachy is happily married to Adam. She has continued to give reflexology treatments in her home while caring for Adam’s three orphaned nieces. Adam, though, still refuses to speak to his mother, Cora Finley. Cora left Adam and his sister, Mary when they were children. Adam has yet to forgive her. Leah is hoping for a reconciliation between the two. Adam also does not know that he has a stepbrother, Jared. Can Adam ever forgive his mother?

You will have to read The Restoration to find out what happens. The Restoration is entertaining and a pleasurable novel to read (you will stay up late reading it). It has some good morals (life lessons) on forgiveness, regrets, the toll bitterness can take on a person (and a family), and how lack of communication can be harmful to a relationship. I liked how Wanda Brunstetter concluded the series (one of those endings that make you sigh with delight when you finish the book). I give The Restoration 5 out of 5 stars. The Restoration is not a stand-alone novel. You do need to read the first two books in the series in order to understand the characters and their situations. If you like Amish fiction, you will love The Restoration.

I love Wandas books but she writes faster than I can keep up with her. That being said I did not realize this was the third in the series. I will go back and read the other two later. I fully enjoyed this story of family, friends and romance. There were many twists and turns including an ending that totally surprised me . No spoilers you will have to read if for yourself.

Always enjoy Wanda's books. Two men vying for the same woman, always an intriguing plot. Loving two men, lots of fun and questions. I can't imagine wanting to go plain, but I do enjoy reading about Amish people. Will try to find more in this series.

The Restoration by Wanda Brunstetter is a great book. It is book three in the series but can be read without reading the others first. There is enough information in this book to update you on the characters past experiences and interactions. There are a lot of issues in this book ranging from jealousy, hurt, grief, anger and broken relationships. I could not put it down as I was so anxious to learn what would happen to the characters next. This book continues the stories of three young women who have been friends since childhood, Priscilla, Elaine, and Leah. The story hinges on how their lives intertwine with each other as well as with their families and community. Leah is married and raising a family while Elaine and Priscilla are both being courted. There are many twists and turns along the way including an English friend who may want to court Priscilla also. Leah’s husband, Adam, has to decide if he will forgive his mother who abandoned him as a child and has now moved to Arthur and discovered he and her grandchildren live there. Will he be able to forgive and have a relationship with her and the half-brother he never knew about? How will the other characters resolve the issues in their lives and make peace with each other and God? The answers will surprise you, I believe.
I highly recommend this book. The style of the writing and excellent descriptions of characters draws the reader in and I felt I knew all of the characters personally. I have been a fan of Wanda Brunstetter for quite some time due to her engaging writing style that makes you yearn to know what comes next.

In her books, Wanda Brunstetter wants to ensure an accurate portrayal of how the Amish live. I find it interesting that she says her stories “are well-read and trusted by the Amish”. I know I have enjoyed her Amish Fiction, appreciating how she draws me into her novels with her simple, uncomplicated writing style.

In The Restoration, Leah Beachy, Elaine Schrock, and Priscilla Herschberger are the very best of friends. Priscilla is waiting for Elam to pop the question and wondering what in the world is taking him so long to do it. Elaine and Leah are part of the story also, continuing on with their lives where the first two novels left off.

I have read and enjoyed all three books in the Prairie State Friends series. Each book in this trilogy focuses on one of the young womens’ journey to love. I really like how the characters’ lives are interwoven in all three of the books. There is joy and heartache in this series, with the characters all the while keeping their focus on God. Friendship is key in The Restoration and other books in this series. I would recommend reading all of them.

Two things Wanda always does well is pull me into a story and transport me to the location. This is something that doesn’t happen with many books I read and I love how easy I find myself picturing the settings and conversations as I’m reading.

The Restoration is the final book in The Prairie State Friends series. I found the storyline to be interesting because of the different story elements going on with the characters. I enjoyed how the questions the characters struggled with are ones many people struggle with as well, such as forgiveness and making the right decision. I think that will make the characters relatable to many readers.

I enjoyed this final book in the series and I’m anxiously waiting for what Wanda writes next.
