This was a simple book told in a rhyming verse. It was simple and had a specific purpose. I can definitely see it being used in a primary class or with parents and their children. . It was simple and purposed, in that it helped to facilitate thought and discussion. There were a variety of topics, some of them are value based and some are safety based. Working through the various scenarios would give children a chance to be proactive and parents an opportunity to teach their children in a fun environment without lecturing. I liked the graphics in the book. It is not a book that I would sit down and read from cover to cover in one sitting. It is something that would be stretched out to give ample opportunity to discuss the situations.

This is a good review of manners, safety, and what to do in different situations for pre-school-age children. I like that it gives the child choices and lets the child decide which is correct, rather than just telling them; I think that the child will remember better with this format.

I actually liked this book. It was simple and purposed, in that it helped to facilitate thought and discussion. Though the rhyming quality was not necessary, in my opinion, I appreciated that the author attempted to do so. I believe this book will do much to help kids think through various scenarios and learn how to work through challenges. Additionally, I believe parents can use the content to really talk to their kids about the whys, whats and okays of life.

This book is clear and concise and it poses a few good questions for children to teach them what they should do in certain, often dangerous or worrying situations. I just wasn't a big fan of the images used in the book sadly and for me I don't think its a book that's likely to become a favourite.
