Description
Sam was supposed to be celebrating his last day as the station janitor. His bestie Kai has thrown him a retirement party. There's even real fried chicken. But when he shows up late, still trapped in his maintenance suit, the party quickly goes to shit.
Something is spreading through the guests, something that turns them into savage, mutating creatures hungry for flesh. Within minutes, the partygoers are dead or dying, and Kai is transforming into something inhuman. His suit, bulky and suffocating, is suddenly the only thing keeping him alive. But it also means he can't touch or hear Kai, can't do anything but watch as the infection takes his best friend piece by piece.
There might be one way to save Kai. The infected still respond to their favourite songs. Sam just needs to find a subwoofer before the station tears itself apart, before the creatures hunting him finish the job, and before whatever cosmic nightmare birthed this plague completes its terrible purpose.
A darkly funny, brutally gory story about undying devotion set among the stars, DJ Decapitator is Dead Space meets Shaun of the Dead—for readers who like their horror with a killer soundtrack.
