I loved this book! The characters are all written well and the story flowed throughout the book. It was fun to read and I liked the conclusion to the series.
I highly recommend this book as well as the previous books in the series.

Humor and passion collide in this wonderfully fast paced read. Suzanne Enoch has once again delivered an extremely well written storyline with headstrong characters and a much deserved happily ever after. After very much having enjoyed Scot Under The Covers, I was very happy to receive the arc for Hit Me With Your Best Scot. Because - of course - I wanted to know more about the MacTaggert family. After Niall (It is Getting Scot in Here) and Aden (Scot Under The Covers), only Coll needs to find himself an English lass within a month. So that his sister can finally wed.
The problem: every woman starts to scramble away from him, when he opens his mouth. Of course, when they haven't fled the scene on eyeing the big, brutal Scot in the first place. Coll is getting frustrated, but he certainly doesn't want his meddling mother to choose a bride for him.
So, he strikes a deal with the actress Persephone Jones: she will teach him how to act like a civil young man, so he can woo a lass. And he will offer her protection from her admirers. But while being taught, Coll starts to realize that Persephone is also putting on an act: she is not who she seems. And more importantly: someone else knows this as well and tries to kill her.
But not on Coll's watch. Whoohoo: the Scot goes all rampage. I loved it! And the banter between witty Persephone and the brutally honest Scot is hilarious. A wonderful story, with some suspense, a lot of laughter and sparks flying. Five out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

Coll MacTaggert has been my favourite MacTaggert since this series started. He is the wildest and most wicked MacTaggert and I have been anxiously waiting to read his story. And it has definitely not disappointed. Those who have been following the MacTaggerts on their individual missions to find themselves English brides, know how Coll has been running away from settling down with any one of the brides that his mother has been throwing his way. But it seems that he has finally found himself a candidate at the most unlikely place.

Persephone Jones is no ordinary woman. She is the most famous actress in the land and always has a swarm of male admirers at her feet. And although she may give the impression of being scandalous, she is far from being the femme fatale that she wants everyone to believe that she is. She never lets anyone see her true self or even her true appearance and has a big secret which no one knows about, not even the ones who are closest to her. And as an enemy from her past threatens her life she finds herself in need of a protector.

After dodging all advances made by the many aristocrats of the ton, one strapping highlander has caught her eye. He is unlike anyone she has ever met. He is uninhibited, wild and determined and won’t stop till he gets what he wants and what he wants is Persephone Jones. He has vowed to protect her and keep her safe.

A wild and passionate read with a healthy dose of intrigue. So so sad to see this delicious series come to an end. Another highland masterpiece from the Queen of Regency and Highland romance. Not to be missed!!

I love the MacTaggart brothers. In this, the third book of the series, we follow the eldest brother Coll as he tries to buck his mothers dictates to find a wife among the English. Running from another of his mothers setup attempts he stumbles across Persephone, a highly regarded actress. As they become friends Coll offers his protection from unruly fans in return for her help with his quest. As they get to know each other things take a dramatic turn that forces them to acknowledge their feelings. In a race against time and an unknown foe they come to realize just where they want to be and with whom. Family closes ranks and everything comes to a head in the end.
A fast paced read with an amazing happily ever after for the ending Coll finally finds the lady for him. I love this series so much and I’m sure you will enjoy it as much as I did.

Suzanne Enoch does it again! Coll is my kind of man. He has a harshness to him but in an endearing way. He’s a barbarian that you can fall in love with. All the MacTaggert brothers are lovable and sexy. And in this conclusion to the MacTaggert brothers finding their English wives, it was really great to finally see everyone in the same place with the patriarch finally joining the MacTaggert brothers in England and reuniting with his wife and daughter.

Absolutely lovely story, with an self sufficient actress and a surly Scotsman. I loved how we not only got to see and appreciate the plays that Persephone performed in.

I’ll readily admit that I have not read the other two books in the series, but I have added both to my TBR! This book truly can be read as a stand-alone.

The relationship that the MacTaggert siblings have was an absolute delight. Both Aden and Niall both knew exactly how to handle Coll. “And dunnae hit me” was mentioned a few time by the brothers and I laughed aloud each time.

I am definitely a fan of strong self sufficient female leads in historical romances. And Persephone did not disappoint. Her back story was fantastic! Coll and her story swept me away, and quite often had me laughing out loud.

“Seeing me there might well surprise him into giving himself away.” She finished her own tea. “And then I can punch him.”

Hit Me With Your Best Scot is the final book in Enoch's trilogy about three brothers "dragged down" from Scotland by their English mother to marry proper English ladies. Coll, the oldest and least concerned about appearances in Sassenach society isn't much interested in marrying, or playing nicely for that matter. And when he meets actress Persephone Jones while escaping from potential suitors he finds a perfect solution to drive his mother crazy. And with Persephone's life being threatening, having Coll around suits her just fine too. Naturally romance ensues, hijinks commence, and a not so surprising secret is revealed that explains why someone wants Persephone dead. There aren't really any heart-wrenching moments in the series, but there are some laugh out loud moments and it's easy to root for Coll and Persephone and their mutual lack of concern for society expectations.

I Loved It! Gripping and Suspenseful! I thoroughly enjoy when a book grips you right from the start and takes you on a heart-stopping, sigh worthy journey as in Hit Me With Your Best Scot. Suzanne Enoch, has woven a story from beginning to end with threads of intrigue, secrets, and murder. It's an unforgettable Highland mystery that brims with tension-building twists and turns, remarkable emotions, characters that are well thought out, you find yourself drawn into their story, great and witty dialogue and with one fantastic plot! Who doesn't love a brawny, no nonsense Highland who settles trouble with his fists and Coll is just that until he meets Persephone, a no-nonsense lady-in-hiding. As the sparks fly between them, their journey takes them on a rollercoaster ride of heights of passion swirling down into a vortex of attempted murder and intrigue in which it unfolds beautifully with drama, searing passion, fear, angst, trials and tribulations and as the tensions escalates the suspense builds and mayhem abound that will keep you reading to the end and wishing for more!

Entertaining Story. Coll is the laird's eldest son and as part of an agreement must marry before his sisters wedding. Persephone is an actress and is an independant woman who knows what she wants in life. Coll is smitten with Persephone but knows that his mother would not approve. In the meantime it's become obvious that Persephone's life is in danger. Coll, being a protective type, is keen to solve the probably. It didn't take long for kisses to become full on passion. Actresses had a poor reputation but Persie also knows what she likes and isn't affraid to go out an grab it. The romance built up and the mystery was slowly solved. Lots a characters that were present in the 2nd book and at last we meet Colls Dad and find out a bit more about his parents estrangement. I wonder if there's a chance for a Novella for Angus and Fransesca. I didn't finish it till 12:45 so you can see it kept me intrigued and I think you'll enjoy it.

I requested to read and review this book St. Martin Publishing Company. Suzanne Enoch has another great book! Has a European setting. This book has romance, mystery, humor and life lessons! Coll is a take charge kind of guy and will get the job done anyway he can. Persephone don't underestimate her there is more to her then what you think! The whole MacTaggert clan will check you laughing and wondering what is going to happen next!

This book was very entertaining from the start! I enjoyed the bantering between the family members. The heroine is an actress that has a secret. The hero is a Scot who needs to marry an English woman right now. The hero's mother and father are estranged because of their pride. They fought and the mother took the daughters and the father took the sons and they were raised seperate, except for a couple of visits. The mother controls the money and says she will relinquish the control of the money if her sons all marry before the last daughter marries. And that wedding is scheduled for 30 days away. So the family goes to the theater and the Scot sees an actress who treats him in a sassy way. The same actress is trying to fight off a problem suitor who is trying to have his way and the hero saves her. He then goes to the theater every night to escort her to his carriage. But not to her home, because she has a secret.
I love an HEA, but the way there is always the main interest for me. This story is very well written, with a clear plots and sub-plots. They are clearly a family with familial bickering and supporting each other. The hero and heroine were well written with development and very likeable traits. The story was continuous with very little dead space. There were not any spelling errors that I noticed. I give this book 5 stars and recommend reading.

I haven't read the first two books in this series, but that didn't prove an impediment at all. This stands on its own, even though it hints at the storylines from the first two books. This was an enjoyable romp of a book. Both main characters have some depth, and while it did fall somewhat under insta-love, the author did an admirable job of making the relationship about more than just lust and looks.

Thoroughly entertaining and humorous story with the added bonus of an intriguing mystery twist which all come together for such a pleasurable to read. Absolutely love both characters. Their maturity, boldness, strong-willed and bodacious personalities make them a very well matched couple. I love this writing style for this genre. It was so good, I didn't want it to end but when it did it left me with warm feelings of happiness and a big smile of joy!

Who doesn’t love a great Scottish historical romances. Amazing read with a storyline that draws you in and keeps you there. And characters that are engaging and captivating. I couldn’t put it down I had to see how the story would play out. I’m always happy when I get a new book from this author. Can’t wait for the next book

I would like to start with thanking NetGalley and St. Martin's for sending me "Hit Me With Your Best Scot" to read and provide an unbiased review. In this case, I owe both organizations for introducing a delightful 'new to me' author in Suzanne Enoch and by default gifting me a week of laughter and pure joy as I dove into the world of "The Wild Wicked Highlanders".

First out the gate readers should know that "Hit Me With Your Best Scot" is the capstone entry in "The Wild Wicked Highlanders" trilogy series. While it could be read alone, I would recommend reading this particular trilogy in order from the start to gain optimal enjoyment as each story is interlinked and picks up directly where the last left off with the total time span covered in the three novels being approximately 8 weeks of crazy back to back hijinks as three "wild" highlander brothers are set lose on London to hunt for brides before their youngest sister marries, triggering them losing access to their family's wealth. I was very glad that while I was sent the final book to read, that I paused for the extra time to get my hands on the first two (also having fabulous pun titles) books of the series and read them first.

That being said this final book appropriately centers around the drama of Coll, the oldest and final MacTaggert brother, to find a bride. As the oldest, he bares the most weight to not fail, as he holds the title and is heir to the Scotish Earl Aldriss, and responsibility for the livelihoods of their cotter, villagers, herdsmen, farmers, and their families. So of course this is the perfect time leverage the inappropriate match trope a.k.a. the star-crossed lovers story in a novel that circles around Shakespearean plays and the theater, as Coll falls for Mrs. Persephone Jones, famous London actress. "Hit Me With Your Best Scot" is the best kind of romp in the fact that it has a little bit of something for everyone: forbidden love, family drama, mystery murder plots, hot Scots, wedding deadlines, and a badly dressed stag named Rory.

I am giving this one an incredibly hard to earn 5 stars. Put ""Hit Me With Your Best Scot" and the entire "The Wild Wicked Highlanders" series on your TBR list and Suzanne Enoch on your watch list.

Another great read by Suzanne Enoch and a satisfying ending to the Wild Wicked Highlander series. Enoch created a perfect heroine in Persephone/Temperance to complement the hero, Coll MacTaggert, Viscount Glendarril, Two strong, well-written characters find that bending will not break them as they find love in this final book of a very enjoyable trilogy. You don't have to read the first two to enjoy this novel; but for those of us who have, you will not be disappointed in the reappearance of characters from the previous books and in the resolution of the family conflicts that have plagued the characters throughout.

I liked this book a lot - Suzanne Enoch writes wonderfully crafted, funny, and emotional historicals. This family is fascinating and over-the-top - as you would expect a clan of highlanders unleashed on London to be. I will say, this was the first book I've read in this series - and perhaps I shouldn't have started there. I think I would have loved Coll more had I witnessed some of the scenes from the prior book.

In brief, the MacTaggert's parents separated when Coll was young. Lady Aldriss took her infant daughter, the youngest of her four children, and left her husband when he refused to compromise with her for any time at all spent in London. She agreed, however, to keep supporting her husband's lands as long as her sons married English women before her daughter married the man of her choosing. All of Coll's brothers have found English women to love and Coll is the only one left. He hasn't found any woman he likes, let alone wants to court. Running from his mothers latest matchmaking, he hides backstage and meets Persephone Jones. The darling of the London stage. Persephone is definitely more than she appears. She is a talented actress and a chameleon - changing her looks constantly to avoid recognition. Now her life is in danger from an unknown person. Coll vows to be her protector and wants to use her to torture his mother. Persephone offers to help Coll tell which ladies like him for him - so that he can find a wife. It is, of course, clear that Persephone and Coll are meant for each other.

Coll is funny and over-the-top and passionate about Persephone. Persephone is practical, kind, and very much the diva she deserves to be. This is definitely a fun, wild ride to read!

I think you would adore it more if you read the entire series - but I still recommend it even if you haven't!

We finally get “The Mountain’s” story! Coll MacTaggert regretfully comes to see his mother in London, for the good of his clansman. As their future leader he is well aware of how much they depend on the financial benefits that his English mother provides but he has no desire to wed a “hothouse flower” like her just because of some contract. And then he meets the perfect solution, actress Persephone Jones. Persephone may be in high demand on the acting scene, but an actress as his wife will certainly outsmart his mother. And what happens when a pretend courtship starts to become real? Along the way we discover that all is not it seems with Persephone. Add in a bit of mystery, a lot of heat, and best of all some Highlanders and you have a recipe for an intriguing courtship. While Coll’s story is the last of the MacTaggert brothers (all of which are quite enjoyable too) you do not need to read the others to enjoy this book, although you will have a bit more understanding. I admit I am sad to see these crazy Highlander’s go as the characters are hilarious and entertaining. And the females are no fainting flowers. 5 stars must read. Hit me with your Best Scot was a delightful, modern tale despite it being a historical romance. Our hero is the fierce eldest son Coll MacTaggert, reluctantly called to London by his English mother. He and his brothers have been told that in order to inherit the money they need to restore their family’s holdings in Scotland, they must each marry an English woman.
Coll is the last to marry and his intention is to find a woman he can at least tolerate to get the money he needs, and leave England.
Instead, he finds himself intrigued and captivated by the current darling of the theater, Persephone Jones .
I liked Coll a lot- he was brash but loving and loyal- stubborn but open, and funny as well.
There’s a lot going on in the book- who is Persephone Jones really? And why is someone looking to kill her?
We also finally understand the reasons behind Coll’s mother’s flight to England all those years ago, leaving her sons behind.
But what appealed most was the romance between Coll and Persie. They were both mature, experienced adults, and the love that blooms between them felt honest. I really liked that Persie owned her sexuality and that Coll wasn’t intimidated by that but reveled in it. The sexy times were hot- reminding me why Suzanne Enoch is one of my favorite go-to authors. Fiercely independent women, complex, masculine heroes and humor make this a book you’ll read in one day.!

I was excited to return to the Wild Wicked Highlanders series to read about Coll MacTaggert's adventure finding a wife before time ran out. I loved how he was so straight forward and spoke his mind. I loved the interactions with Persephone. They were very witty, strong, intelligent characters.. All the characters in the novel are wonderful. It was a very entertaining read and I was very curious to find out who was behind the attempts on Persephone's life. A great read!

Coll must marry but falls for an actress. I like the book title, catching and had me humming. I liked the characters and the story line. This series has been a fun one. Scots crashing the ton scene of London was just too delicious to miss. I like the determination to wear their kilts. A good ending to the mystery of who wants to kill the actress. I enjoyed the book.

Suzanne Enoch is remarkable. "Hit me with Your Best Scot," is remarkable.
Persephone Jones, an actress seems to be having some trouble with someone trying to hurt, or perhaps even kill her. Coll MacTaggert has become not only her protector, but also her very good friend. Together,  they learn what the other means to them and the intensity of their devotion to one another. A beautiful love story!

4.5-5 Stars!! This was yet another great book by Suzanne Enoch!! The entire series ‘Wild Wicked Highlanders’ has been memorable! I’ve loved every book. I highly recommend any book in this series & very highly recommend reading ALL of them. They can be read as a standalone but I think it’s best to read them all, in order. I’m not sure if there is going to be more in this series but I hope so. I want to know what happens to the MacTaggerts & this book didn’t have an epilogue, so fingers crossed! This book has it all - mystery, romance, sexy times, heroic actions & a strong female main character! Coll & Persephone were great main characters. And this was an amazing book. I still have a few unanswered questions and I’d love another book or novella to wrap it all up! Either way, I HIGHLY recommend this book & the other 2 books in the series!

I really loved this one. It was a fast read for me, I just couldn’t put it down. I must say I enjoyed reading the family dynamic with Coll and his brothers & Persie and Flora and Gregory. Plus Hades is my kinda fella. Persie is a strong woman who plays strong women and that’s a woman every man needs by his side.

Really good read! Coll is awesome! This is the first in the series I've read but its easy to get into. The characters are wonderful and easy to love. The story is cute and sexy. Really entertaining.

I loved this series! I think they saved the best MacTaggert brother for last. This is the story of the eldest and heir, Coll, who refuses to let his English mother pick his wife for him. When he falls for an actress, Persie, his family gets worried. Coll is a true hero who protects Persie by saving her life several times. 5 Word Review: Love, responsibility, scandal, family, secrets.

Earlier this year I got the chance to read Scot Under The Covers, the second of the Wild Wicked Highlanders books. While I have somehow still not got around to read the first book, It's Getting Scot In Here, I jumped at the chance to read the third book.

There is something about the MacTaggert's that draws you in like a magnet. They're wild and witty and I just want to swoon at the lot of them. They're big and brawny and fiercely loyal, and they remind of kittens almost in how caring and gentle they can be.

I liked how this story played around with the fact that Persephone was an actress and Coll pretty much always puts on a dumb highlander act. It was clever and funny to watch play out, and I love how both of them defied expectations. It was fantastic fun. There are secrets and hidden identities and a would-be murderer hiding away, and it all makes for a pretty exhilarating read.

If you're looking for a masquerade ball to tick off for Romance Book Bingo, then look no further, as Hit Me With Your Best Scot has a pretty tense and exciting one near the end.

Now that I know Coll and Aden's stories in full, I can't wait to go back and read about Niall, even if I know the gist of what happens from the two books that I have read. Suzanne Enoch is definitely a romance author to look out for if you love passion that make you want to swoon.
