The illustrations are beautiful and heart touching. I really enjoyed reading it.

While I'm not a fan of the original story (sorry, but teens dying because of love ain't it for me), I LOVED reading this graphic novel/manga retelling. The graphics were beautiful and truly added something to the medium. Often, people hate retellings because the original is better, but this truly gave it new life and provides another way to enjoy the same story. 10/10!

I tried reading the book many times but could not finish it. I ended up not finishing the book.

I enjoyed this comic version of one of my favourite Shakespeare plays. Definitely one that you actually have to read a physical copy of to truly enjoy the experience!!!!

On a device, it's challenging to follow through the material as it is in reverse. This could possibly best be enjoyed on printed media rather than a digital copy in the same format.

A brilliant new addition to the many tellings of Romeo and Juliet! The artwork is divine and adds much to the original text.

Seeing R&J in this format was refreshing and I can imagine it can help readers by making the play more accessible.
However, it didn't work for me, and the art style was not something I felt drawn to. Still, if you enjoy manga and graphic novels, I would recommend give this a try!

Comenzaré comparando esta adaptación con la de anne of green gables, siendo esta más tediosa y un poco agotadora. Vale la pena el tiempo invertido ya que es concisa y no pierde detalles clave de la obra original, sin embargo en algún punto de la lectura se vueve más lenta

In general I love when classic works are made into different media, and graphic novels and manga. I think it’s great to expose kids to classic books in formats they could understand and enjoy! This was a really good book I like the art style and it was well done.

I have a personal 'grievance' with Romeo & Juliet...

Not about the quality of the story or the writing, but due to the fact that the entire world has romanticized this story so much when it is, at it's core, a tragedy led by two extremely impulsive teenagers that lead to a lot of deaths, including their own.

Anyways, all that aside, this manga adaptation is very well done to capture the essence of the story, and the illustrations are, as usual, very impressive.

A gorgeous illustrated adaption of Romeo and Juliet. I’m sad they lowered the resolution on the pages but the art style is still pretty nevertheless. I haven’t read Romeo and Juliet since 2010/2011 and completely forgot how hard it was to get through. The manga does an excellent job of setting the place and the character design was gorgeous.

I liked this one—I’m really starting to enjoy these Manga Classics! This one contains the original text (minus stage directions). Shakespeare is not impossible to read, but it is challenging. This adaptation used illustrations well to assist the reader in interpreting the text, but I do wish they had also included notes to explain some of the common words and phrases of the time. Once again, I could tell that the artwork was absolutely beautiful, and I was sad that they lowered the resolution for the ARC edition. Overall, this was a solid adaptation—I enjoyed it very much!
