You know the book is gonna be good when IT STARTS WITH HIS HAND AROUND HER THROAT!!! Ugh, I love Nadir so much, the hostility between him and Lor was *chef's kiss*, never thought 'inmate" would be a hot pet name that I want to be called, but here we are! The spice definitely picks up in this one and we love to see it!! Lor was making comments in this book, that I believe she made in the first one as well, about not having anywhere where she feels safe to cry. She doesn't want to do it in front of anyone and seem weak so then of course I'm just waiting for her to break down in front of Nadir so he can comfort her!! They were true enemies to lovers but he was obsessed with her!! I really enjoyed the flashbacks to her grandparents and learning more about the family history, very intriguing! I also really love how Nisha handles Lor dealing with her trauma from the prison and being sexually assaulted, I just felt it was so well done and realistic. Also predicting Tristan and Amya getting together.

I was consumed by this story and its characters. This installment elaborates on the tumultuous history of kingdoms within Ouranos. The world building is phenomenal and the magic system of each realm is so unique.

The complexity of Lor’s traumatic past is further explored and I love her resilience and determination throughout the series. She is ferocious and wild and while Nadir loves to challenge and taunt her, he knows has met his match. They both unwillingly feel an undeniable pull to each other and their relationship teeters between longing and loathing. I cannot wait to watch their passion fully erupt!

Rule of the Aurora King is a captivating sequel full of delicious angst, surprising reveals, and an epic quest for vengeance. I cannot wait to see what happens next in Fate of the Sun King! Nadir and Lor scenes are everything 👀 Loved their banter and Nadir’s understanding. We got a look at past events to help gain knowledge of what happened. Excellent world building that doesn’t info dump on you all at once. This one had a little slower pacing but still kept my attention and provided a wonderful story. Also, I’d kill for Amya’s wardrobe 😍😂

I was afraid this book wouldn’t be as good as the first but I was proven wrong! This book was so good and there was fun dialogue and bantering between Nadir and Lor.

“Oh, to have the confidence of a male born to privilege.”

Nadir grows on you in this one. Lor is trying so find herself and deal with her trauma but it’s not going great. I can’t wait for the final two books in this series.

Having devoured Trial of the Sun Queen in the span of 48 hours I was infinitely excited to jump into the sequel. And I did start it almost the second after I finished book 1; however, right around the 50% mark my brain just hit pause and I proceeded to spend the next near four months not touching this book. That being said, when I returned to Aurora I promptly inhaled the second half in a day.

In comparison to Sun Queen, Aurora is definitely slower paced and darker, deal a lot with spending time in both Lor and Nadir's inner thoughts. We also get to do the time warp periodically and head back in time to get some history as Nisha really digs in to build up this world and it's conflicts.

I highly enjoyed the steady push and pull of 'I hate you' and 'I'm entirely too attracted to you' between Lor and Nadir. And boy oh boy did Nisha ramp up the spice here. :D

Even with the slower pacing, and my several month long pause, Aurora King was a fun read with an ending that leaves me begging for book 3.

It just keeps getting better! Thank you Netgalley for this title. I was really excited to see this story grow and give us even more characters to love. The scenes with Tristan and Willow were so good, I’m really glad they were brought along on the journey.

And Nadir…sir. Someone please douse this man in cold water because he was doing THE most, but I was amused. Lor’s character development is really great - it’s realistic and layered, but also makes her even more likable. We get a lot more backstory in this one and Nisha did an amazing job adding flashbacks without making the pacing clunky. Enemies to lovers and found family are two of my favorite tropes, and Ouranos continues to not disappoint.

While I enjoyed the first novel in this series, this second one didn't go as well for me. I liked the plot and the development, but it felt rushed and underdeveloped in many ways. I did love the spice and the relationship development between the characters, but the writing fell a little flat and I didn't feel as engaged in the world as I did in the first book.

Sequel to Trial of the Sun Queen and it definitely had both a lot and not a lot going on. Lor and Nadir’s storyline was more interesting to me than the flashbacks with Serce. It set up the next book fairly well though and I’m curious how this will continue!

Rule of the Aurora King by Nisha J. Tuli is a captivating addition to the Artefacts of Ouranos series, filled with heart-pounding encounters, captivating fae magic, and a sizzling enemies-to-lovers romance that has you HOOKED from beginning to end.

One of the highlights of the book is the undeniable chemistry between the two main characters, Lor and Nadir. Her grit and spunk perfectly compliment Nadir's brooding personality and the banter between them is wonderfully written. It had me kicking me feet!

However, while I enjoyed most of the scenes between Lor and Nadir, the frequent repetition of hot and cold with Lor being all for him one second and suddenly not having any of it was *slightly* overdone, but regardless, I still eagerly turned each page in anticipation of what was going to happen next with them!
I also have to mention because it's the main reason I docked a star- I CAN NOT stand the nickname "Inmate" that Nadir kept giving Lor. While I understood it in the beginning of the book, the continued use of it became distasteful and was giving me the "ick". I disliked it so much that every time he said it - I was instantly pulled out of the book and it held me back from fully enjoying it.

Despite this minor criticism, I genuinely enjoyed this book and would still recommend it. I am eagerly anticipating the rest of the series!

I was so excited to be able to get Rule of the Aurora King as an ARC as well after getting Trial of the Sun Queen and gobbling it up! I find this series so far to be one that is entertaining and very potato-chippy, you just can't put it down!

Rule of the Aurora King sees Lor now with the Aurora Prince, Nadir, who is a top tier broody MMC. The chemistry between these two main characters is so palpable, you are just giddy whenever they interact with one another! I also didn't find the romance plot lines to deter from the overall plot of the series and enjoyed the continued worldbuilding that Nisha has created. There is a lot more exploration in this story as there aren't the trials compared to book one but found that now I was invested in the characters, I enjoyed this quite a bit. I wanted to see more of everyone and understand them better.

I will say what a cliff hanger, and cannot wait to get my hands on book three! I am filled with anticipation. Thank you NetGalley & Forever Publishing for the ARC!

Is this series anything really unique?, no. Did I eat these first 2 books up like catnip?, hell yes. Here for the vibes and this was fun

I cannot get enough of this series. I can’t wait to get my hands on the third book because that cliffhanger left me sweating. We finally get our alphahole MMC in Nadir and he shows his obsession with Lor in the most swoonworthy way. Fated mates is everything in a romantasy book for me and this one lived up to it. The way they care for each other and work together for a mutual goal had me binging this book. I absolutely loved getting the history in this one because it was so needed and eye opening. I have hopes for how the series will go but so far I have been pleasantly surprised and can’t wait to get my hands on the third book.

I loved the first installment of this series!! I was really excited to jump into this one and back into this world.

Overall, I was a bit disappointed and this book didn’t feel like it had a good flow. There were a lot of scenes that just didn’t make sense to me and kinda threw me off! Also was not a huge fan of the third POV.

I am still giving it a two star because I loved the first book and getting back into this world was fun and I missed all the characters!

As the stakes mount with the looming threat of the Sun King, we're propelled through a whirlwind of conflict and romantic entanglements that left me craving the next book before reaching the end of this one.

Woa. What a follow up to Trial of the Sun Queen. The hot and cold romance. This is a wild story full of angst and character development all within a unique and interesting fae world. I have big big issues with the nickname MMC uses for Lor though. Like big enough I docked a star. It’s so icky I have to talk myself down every time it’s used.

I’m in two minds about this book. On one hand I really enjoyed it, I raced through reading it because I needed to know what was going to happen and the slow burn on the romance was excellent. I really enjoyed all of the POVs and the dual timeline was very interesting. The good parts were really good. On the other hand I felt annoyed at some parts in the book. In the first book I found the FMC really endearing and strong but in this one she was very unsure of herself, going back and forth on her feelings for the MMC. There wasn’t as much action in this book and it was much more exploration which I don’t usually mind but here I felt like we didn’t get anywhere. I was hoping for more interaction between Lor and her siblings, it felt odd that they were so separated. I feel like the third book in this series is where we’re going to get all of the answers and the first two books were mostly set up. Again there was a lot to enjoy here but I finished the book wanting for more. I will continue the series because I think we’ll get a lot more out of the next books.

This book was just as addictive as the first one in the series. The dual POV was the way to go to show the tension of all kinds between Lor and Nadir. Lor finds her strength and self even more and I enjoyed being able to see her growth as the book went on. I cannot wait to see what happens next! This series has been one of my favorites I have discovered this year,
