Something just didn’t click for me with this book. Between the unexplained (and unnecessary) arranged marriage between Miguel and Jatziry, the fact that no one in F1 seemed to be aware that a woman was competing and winning in F2 and the lack of chemistry between Miguel and Diana I found it a bit lacking.

There was also a lot of characters which made it hard to really keep track of everything that was happening and an excess of information about things that weren’t really relevant to anything and just added to the confusing nature of the story.

I did think that it handled the racing aspects and the navigation of a very male dominated world as a female (although it did sometimes feel like it went to unnecessary extremes).

It wasn’t what I expected and unfortunately it wasn’t for me

I am absolutely obsessed with this F1 romance. Miguel and Diana were both delightful and super freaking cute.

Diana is a race car driver making her way into the male dominant world of F1. She is an absolute boss slaying at racing and attempting to prove that women can be successful F1 drivers!

Miguel’s protective nature over Diana throughout the book is so adorable and I loved him so so much. Despite some of the men within the F1 being selfish and in desperate need of a reality check *cough* Nic *cough* he always had her back and that was everything!!

Diana is a boss ass FMC. She is a girl boss in a man’s world navigating her way through desperate to prove herself and do her parents proud. Her background and hardships with getting into F1 racing is so empowering and I absolutely loved her tenacity and determination 🫶

Honestly Miguel was everything… I was worried he’d be super cocky towards Diana but their history 🥹 and him falling first was so good!

This book was so much fun to read. It was funny, entertaining and adorable 🫶

I’m a huge fan of F1 & romance books so it was an automatic request for me!
I did enjoy reading this but it felt just a little too ‘wattpad’ for me in places. This could be an issue with my writing style preference.

I would recommend f1 girlies to give it a read as I’m sure they’ll appreciate the race and background details🫶🏻

Okay I read Offtrack was it was published independently but now reading it again which has so many changes that Esha took care of from the feedback received, I am in awe of her for writing such a great book which is not only romance centric in terms of formula 1 romance but feels like reading the script of Drive to Survive. I loved how much independent growth of characters was focused on.

This was my first forray into motor sports.

And I can't say I was a fan.
Being used to sport romances I get a lot of names being used in a book but this one was just too many. It was very confusing to keep up with and who was who and who was on what team.

I felt like I needed a cheat sheet. But then they go and swap teams and the.i just got confused all over again.

While a lot of the car jargon went over my head I did actually enjoy the sports/ competition aspect of this novella. The love story though left a lot to be desired and there was little to zero chemistry between the couple. They had more chemistry with their cars.....

I was extremely excited to read this since it would be my second F1 romance book.

My opinion I love the new take of a female driver as we know the sport is male dominated. Which is probably the strongest part of the book. I felt like I didn’t see the chemistry between the two.

I did not know what to expect when I started this book. I had previously read F1 romances and I really did not gel with some, but fell in love with others.

This F1 romance was an enjoyable read. I warmed to Diana and loved how tough she was - she was not taking rubbish from anyone and it made her an extremely likeable female main character. She knew her worth and the exploration of gender stereotypes in this novel made my blood boil (I think this was the desired effect!). This book was powerful on that account.

I just personally think it fell quite short and I wanted more out of Diana and Miguel. I just felt like we were slightly robbed of their story. This being said, as a pair, I warmed to them a lot and enjoyed it when they were together.

A cute romance read and definitely one for the F1 legends as it was very heavy on this!

I was really looking forward to this story having recently finished another F1 romance novel but this one just fell a little flat for me unfortunately!

The F1 side of things was arguably better written than some of the others but the actual romance storyline and character development felt a bit strenuous and I did find myself skim reading a lot towards the end.

There was things about this book that I enjoyed. The representation of women in F1 is so, so important and it's great that Esha highlights this. The BIPOC representation again is missing in F1, and bringing this to the forefront is great.
Most of the F1 side of the book was well done. I liked the characters, but found their romance could have been better chemistry developed. Some of the metaphors used were cringy to me.
A good effort but slightly misses the mark.

Solid 3.25 - I’m a sucker for F1 & romance. Add in the idea of seeing a woman enter the space!

The paddock interviews, media days and energy of a race were enjoyable. I liked the idea of “fate” and “destiny” bringing our main characters together through their respective journeys in the sport, but was craving a bit more chemistry. I can’t really call it a true slow burn, but it was a sweet romance though.

I wish the pace was better and there were aspects of the storyline I didn’t quite enjoy. I could understand where the author wanted to go but think the storyline was lacking to support it.

I found this book to be okay, I wouldn't necessarily say it was my fave in the previous F1-based books I previously read. It was just a nice and easy read. The pacing felt a little slow at times and the writing between dialogue just did not grab my attention,

Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy this book.

The pacing was off and the characters didn't seem developed at all. There was no real chemistry between the main leads so the romance fell flat too.

Disappointing.

I genuinely didn’t think I’d like this book but at the 25% mark it made me do a full 180 and I ended up really enjoying it and even almost cried a few times.

At the start of the book, it felt like a mix of weird romance and an F1 manual, with the author info dumping so much F1 facts and knowledge that it made the book quite hard to get into. The romance at the start (not between the two main characters) was also a bit strange and I’m still not really sure what the point of it was. If that romance had been left out, I don’t think it would have had any impact on the book. I also found a lot of the characters unrealistic at the start (Diana not wanting to overtake because people were nice to her and no-one on the F1 grid knowing there was a woman F2 driver even though she won the F2 championship??).

However, once the book finally started focusing more on the romance and the racing, I was hooked. I felt all of the angst and nervousness when the characters started racing and I just couldn’t put the book down. I felt like I was watching a real race live with how nervous I was getting.

I also really enjoyed the romance, although cringey at times, between the two characters and getting to explore the conflict that they had with their relationship and being competitors.

One of the main things I loved about this book was the focus around Diana’s struggles as a woman racing in F1 and just how much harder she had to work to prove herself vs her male teammate. I like how this aspect wasn’t brushed over or taken lightly but was actually a key focus .

Overall, I really enjoyed this and I’m so glad that I powered through the first 25% because the rest of the book was amazing

I loved this book. I think Patel does a wonderful job highlighting female experiences in male dominated sports. The way the romance is weaved into the sport and experiences our main characters is wonderful.

Diana is a ball-buster breaking into a the male-dominated F1 arena.

Miguel is the sweet, golden retriever MMC we all want/need and who is a racing superstar in his own right.

🏎️ I LOVE women kicking a** and breaking glass ceilings. This book featured not only a woman breaking into a male-dominated sport, but a woman of color! I feel so darn empowered after reading this book.
🏎️ The incredible chemistry and each little touch that leads to more between our main characters are perfection; I loved the slow burn between Mig and Di.
🏎️ There’s a ton of drama between these F1 drivers who race against and hang out with each other constantly.
🏎️ Diana and Mig’s relationship doesn’t come without its challenges - from familial obligations (i.e. an arranged marriage) to #secretdating to competing for P1 AND MORE, they overcome all for their HEA.

An F1 romance following Diana Zahrani the first female F1 driver and her first season in F1

There were some parts of this book I absolutely loved - the F1 parts and the second half of this book
I struggled with some parts of the romance especially in the first half and how the supposed ‘forgetting’ about knowing people from when they were young

Overall, it was a nice read

I had pretty high hopes for this book and I was kind of disappointed. The romance in it didn’t draw me in, and I didn’t feel compelled to want the two main characters together.

There was a side plot where Miguel was set to be in an arranged marriage and I don’t think it was really necessary and didn’t add much to Miguel’s character. It also didn’t seem like Miguel had cared for his ‘fiancée’ all too much.

I am totally here for women being apart of motorsports but I think it was a little bit unrealistic for Diyana to be given a spot on one of the top teams immediately, for her to get a podium in her first ever f1 race and to be world champion her first season.

I also found it unrealistic how neither Miguel or Diyana remembered karting together until Miguel’s mom found a picture of them on a podium together.

Overall, the writing was okay, but this book had a very large cast of characters and I found it extremely confusing to follow who everyone was.

Wow! I have no words because no F1 romance book has ever disappointed me like that. I wont go into details but the f1 part that was focused on this book was done well imo, I found myself enjoying those scenes a lot and was actually looking forward to those but was it enough to redeem this book? nope. The writing I would say is one of the reasons I gave it a two, It was very hard to read at times, so hard that I had to skim and I despise skimming. It feltlike it was dragging and then the pace would be normal it switched around that and it was very frustrating to read.

The characters were not it. We barely see any development and honestly I felt no emotions, nothing for these characters...well except hatred towards Nic but the two main characters Miguel and Diana I couldnt feel anything for them and their POVs were sooo boring. The romance part of this book was so disappointing because it was them looking at each other which in one chapter led to them banging but even the banging was disappointing.

I want to give this a one but the f1 part was really well done.

I thought Offtrack was such a fun read - I loved that the book was able to create a female main character who was truly a delight to see succeed while not downplaying the challenges of being a woman in a man's world, in this case the world of F1. I really enjoyed the chemistry and banter between Miguel and Diana as their relationship developed and started to show her that she was more important to him than just winning. I think the way that F1 travels around the world feels so glamorous and it's the perfect setting for making people fall in love. I will say, there were a few plot threads that just didn't quite pay off for me - it felt a little unlikely that Diana and Miguel wouldn't';t immediately remember having met when they were young as close as they both are to the racing world and the plot with Miguel's fiancee didn't do much to advance the story overall.

This book was still great and I think will make for fun beach reading this summer!

I enjoyed this book however i struggled to connect with the characters for a good portion of the book. I found it slow to start and a little confusing as someone who knew nothing about F1 or racing. It did pick up towards the end. Still an enjoyable read overall
