It starts with them out celebrating Cindys upcoming marriage and ends with them solving an assault. Intriguing ,fast paced and well written.

So much going on with the four friends in the Women’s Murder Club! So much going on that I started to get a bit confused along the way.
The case with the suspected personality disorder was intriguing for sure.
A fast moving story that kept me engaged. For sure plenty of twists and turns!

This story is about some adventures that the Women’s Murder Club experienced in their city of SanFrancisco
The club was composed of Lindsay Boxer, a SF Police detective; Dr. Claire Washburn, a SF Medical examiner; Yuki Castellano, an Assistant District Attorney for the city; finally Cindy Thomas , a reporter for a SF newspaper.
One night the 4 friends were dining out together when they heard a woman screaming. They went to assist and found a young woman claiming to be raped. Claire examined the woman, Lindsay arrested the rapist, Yuki was assigned to prosecute him by the city and Cindy wrote the story in her newspaper.
Before the case came to court, Lindsay’s husband, a former FBI agent, became involved in a cybersecurity case where a local hospital was being extorted for millions. Finally a well known billionaire was executed outside his house 6 months after his wife was killed the same way. Lindsay headed the team trying to find the murderer.
This is an exciting book that will keep the reader’s attention. The book is part of a series about these 4 women whose professional lives intersect with each other. I have read other books in this series.

Let me start by saying, I LOVE this series and will read all future books. It's kinda like Grey's Anatomy...I'm sticking with it until the end even when some seasons are better than others. This was still fast-paced and enjoyable, but I found several phrases that annoyed me. I don't know why. I do usually listen to this series and I think I should stick with that. I need January LaVoy to bring it all to life for me!

The Women's Murder Club is my favorite series from Patterson.

Reading a new one in the series is like visiting old friends.

I really enjoyed that there were three distinct stories going on at the same time. A trial, murders and a cyber attack keep the readers going at a fast pace. I appreciate the short chapters in all of his books, although I can never stop at just one more.

I will say I don't think the latter books in the series have the same punch as the beginning books did. I think it is due to having co-writers and not writing them solely on his own anymore. Granted it is hard to keep a series interesting after so many installments, but I feel the same is true for any of his stand alone books as well.

As an avid fan of James Patterson, I must admit that this particular book did not capture my interest as much as his others. The abundance of diverse narratives and characters seemed to overwhelm the overall plot, resulting in a lack of proper development for each individual element. Consequently, I found it difficult to fully immerse myself in the story. Hence, I have assigned it a rating of 3 stars.

Well going into this one blindly was great, I didn't want any spoilers or to read the blurb. Because I noticed there was some mention and hints about this book. But I quickly avoided all like this was Game of Thrones. Ha
I want to first thank James Patterson's street team for the arc. Definitely picking up my physical copy in the morning. Because if people know me, they know I own every physical copy of the women's murder club and I'm not stopping anytime soon.

This book we get all the great characters from the club. I wish a little bit more of the women though. I don't mind so much the side story with Joe in all. But I just want more of Clair and Cindy as well. Not the small parts where they report and do autopsy stuff. We get more of Yuki in this book because she has a trial that is wow. Now that storyline I liked not the reason for it mind you, because that was freaking awful.
But a case that we haven't seen pushed before on trial with the victim in all.

Lindsay in this book still worries about coming home to family and friends but not anymore thinking of quitting which I'm glad. I want this series to go on forever like soap opera's use to.
Now again anyone new picking this book up can read it as stand alone, but I wouldn't recommend it. They mention a lot about the past and what each character has been through. Especially with Joe Lindsay's husband.
Or with Cindy and Rich. It is nice that some things get brought up after all this time. Because this is book #24 well #24 and a half if you include the last book 23 and a half lies. Which is mostly about Lindsay.

This case in 24th hour Lindsay and team are working on a husband and wife getting killed similar the same way. And so many friends and some enemies they don't know who could have done it. I guessed something a little over halfway through and then towards the end made a joke to myself and said watch iy be such and such. And I was right.

All I can say is I really enjoyed this book and when is the next one??? Forever a women's murder club fan. ( James Patterson fan)

A super-fast and enjoyable crime thriller from a long-running series.

I've been hit and miss with the Women's Murder Club for the past couple of years, but recently got back in and it was nice to reconnect with the characters. Sergeant Lindsay Boxer, Medical Examiner Claire Washburn, Assistant District Attorney Yuki Castellano, and crime writer Cindy Thomas are now older, accomplished in their jobs, and settled into loved-up bliss.

This particular installment has the club's women facing separate cases in San Francisco. Yuki is handling an unusual rape and assault trial. Lindsay is trying to find the killer of a wealthy couple, and Joe is dealing with a horrific cyber ransom attack. Cindy is about to get married, and all are just there for each other in supportive friendships that have stood the test of time and trial.

The pages flew by as I also listened to the audiobook while reading. Thank you to the publisher for the e-book ARC and I recommend it to counter a reading slump or just for the entertainment. The short chapters, the lack of emotional drama all the time, and the interesting twists on plots always make this series fun.

The 24th Hour by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro is another chance to catch up with the Women's Murder Club. These women are busy solving crimes while they attend to their personal lives.

So this is my first book in this series. It could be read as a standalone, but knowing how these two write, I would be doing myself a disservice, but not going back and reading all of the others. I love the fast pace of this novel along with the short chapters. It makes an easy read, especially for a vacation or beach read. A police detective, a medical examiner, an assistant district attorney and a journalist/novelist who solve the crimes and remain friends and are stronger together than apart makes for a great series. I am anxious to get into the other books in this series (especially since the other readers continually say that the main characters are like family)

I love this series. The Women’s Murder Club is one of my favorite series by James Patterson and each one is like catching up with old friends.

This one has three distinct story lines, and while it took me a little while to become invested in all three, my patience was rewarded!

The character with Multiple Personality Disorder was a fascinating aspect to this story. Never being sure which person would be primary made all of her scenes so interesting to read. I love seeing Yuki in the courtroom.

The serial killer being tracked by Lindsey kept me on the edge of my seat. All of her fellow detectives and their interactions always seem to add a light-hearted element at times which definitely helps in the harder scenes.

Joe’s investigation into a group taking over a hospital electronically was fascinating and I am interest to see where the changes in his life take the stories. Nothing negative, friends. It’s all good.

I love Patterson’s short chapters and the continuity he brings between all the characters in each installment.

I am always excited to sit down and read about my friends from the Women's Murder Club. I have been reading about these ladies for so long that I feel as if I know them. These ladies are good at what they do - a police detective, a medical examiner, an assistant district attorney and a journalist/novelist. they kick butt and take names. They are celebrating Claire's birthday when they hear screams above them. When Lindsey arrives upstairs, she finds a hysterical woman lying on the floor almost nude. You can rest assured Lindsey will find the culprit. However, this is a strange case which will be one of the toughest cases that Yuki has ever tried. This was the base story, but there were actually two other cases going on in this book at the same time. It would probably be confusing if you do not know the the characters well, which just means you need the read the other 23 books. Trust me. You will not be disappointed.

I love the short and sweet chapters that I have come to love from any book written by James Patterson. Even though there were technically three crimes/mysteries going on at one time, the short chapters help differentiate what is going on in each case. I love all of these characters and their husbands/boyfriends. They are one, big happy family who are just trying to keep the streets of San Francisco a little safer. I count this one as another winner for the Women's Murder Club.

I love this series. I love all the women in the murder club. So I'm not impartial. This book has 4 story lines. The first is a serial murderer that Lindsay is chasing down. The second is an extortionist group that is shaking down hospitals by holding their computer systems. Yuki is prosecuting a rapist and the women in the murder club were present at the location of the rape and beating, having dinner. And lastly, Cindy is really, finally, thinking about marrying her long-time love.

Great story lines, great writing.

Embarrassed to say this is a new series for me, even though I've known about it for a long time. Here it is the twenty-fourth book and I'm jumping in extremely late to the party.

My Thoughts:
There is a lot going on in this book. Not one, but three active cases to follow and quite a few characters. I think I had better go back and read some of the early books in the series just to get me grounded in the characters - I'm sure those who have followed the books would enjoy it more. I don't think this is a stand-alone read as there is a lot of history with this group of women - and their men. However, I did enjoy the book and think I will go back and read some of the earlier books - maybe even the entire series because I think this would be a fun one to follow. All the cases in the book were interesting - one a young woman was multiple personalities is raped and there's a trial to follow; then, there is a hospital being held hostage by ransomware; then a couple is murdered a few weeks apart, but in the same manner. That's a lot to solve! Oh and one of the women may or may not be getting married? This murder club is a very busy group!
