Any words I try to use to describe this book will be inadequate. Y’all — Gabrielle Meyer has not only done it again, but she has outdone herself! This story was absolutely magnificent! This story was set up wonderfully and in such a way that I had no idea what was going to happen. When I thought I had things figured out, something else would happen. I loved it and I love that Gabrielle isn’t afraid to take shocking risks in her writing.

This story kept me on my toes and had me in a chokehold with wanting to know what was going to happen next. And on top of all of the mind blowing twists and turns, we got not one but two swoony romances. Each was so special and unique in their own way, but also so soft and sweet and absolutely made my heart ache. If you have not started this series you are seriously missing out. I am absolutely dying to get my hands on the next book!!

You ever have one of those books that you keep putting off starting? This is one of those for me. Not because I didn't think I'd like it. To quote Paul from the New Testament, "May it never be!" But because I knew once I started, I wouldn't be able to stop. And I wouldn't be able to read it for the first time again. THAT'S why I kept putting it off. Was I wrong? NOPE.

I will admit that there was so much tension in the first part of the book that I had to take a LOT of breaks. But then the second part started, and I couldn't. put. it. down. There were a couple of mind-blowing twists and my mouth literally dropped open at one of them.

Oh, to be able to read this again for the first time!

These books always astound me! I will admit that I am a fan of time travel stories, so I was intrigued by the premise of these books right away. The protagonists always have a special “time crossing” gift: born with a special mark indicating a person as a “time crosser,” the marked person lives a double life, each in a different time period, but only until a specific birthday, on which day the character must choose only one time period to live in for the rest of their lives. See? The premise alone is fascinating and exciting. And every single book is masterfully done and woven together in such a way as to allow the characters to learn and grow, for maximum adventure and intrigue, and for the tug of each timeline to become incredibly taut.

And this book followed the pattern incredibly! For a Lifetime is a little different in that there are twin girls who each bear the time crossing mark. Having twins with a deep connection really raised the stakes and the intensity on this one. There a good number of twists and turns and a couple of surprises. I thought I had figured out where things would go, but every single one of my guesses ended up being wrong. Every. Single. One. I only sort of figured out one thing. This one will kept me guessing and wondering from page one. 

Grace and Hope are as different as two sisters can be, but their bonds is indelible. I loved Hope’s tenacity and fire for life, and Grace’s quiet confidence and fierce loyalty. I loved their sister bond and the integral role that played in the story. I loved their relationships with their 1912 parents, and how much they valued family. Hope was a bit impetuous, and Grace a little over-cautious. But they both learned important things and became better people because of their willingness to learn from their trials. 

 I really loved the heavier Christian themes in this one. The previous two books contained faith themes as well, but I feel like this one went a little deeper, and I loved that. I loved that both Grace and Hope had to learn to trust God in different ways, and the emphasis on God’s plan being better than our own was beautiful. But I also thought Gabrielle did a wonderful job in illustrating how sometimes God’s plan is a harder in the beginning, and that mourning the loss of our own plans is normal and okay. It’s very well done.

I was completely hooked on this one from the very beginning and couldn’t put it down. The settings vary from opposite coasts of the United States to parts of Europe. The cast of secondary characters is broad, but not confusingly so. They all round out the story so well, particularly a couple of love interests whose names I will not mention. 

If you enjoy Christian fiction, time travel, dual timeline, or historical fiction, I’d recommend picking up these books. They just get better and better and this book is proof of that. It’s my favorite of the series by far. Give them a try! They do not disappoint.

Twins Hope and Grace are living in two very signifiant periods in our country’s history. One time being the Salem Witch Trials and the other the start of the age of aviation. The research that Ms. Meyer did for this story was amazing as she was able to bring events to life. I learned quite a few new things, some of it was sad and shocking, while other events were encouraging and exciting. I stopped reading a couple of times to look further into some of the things that happened in the story.

I loved how different the girls were and the perspectives they each brought to the story. Grace is cautious and careful while Hope is daring and takes risks. The twists and turns that the story took were a pleasant surprise and made this hard to put down. I highly recommend this and the other books in the Timeless series. You do not need to read the other books to enjoy this one, but it was nice to see some of the women from past books.

Hope finds that there are more time crossers in their extended family, so this will be fun to see which characters Ms. Meyer will choose to write about. I am also curious and excited about the time periods we will get to explore.

What an epic adventure! Aviation, time travel, witch trials, a mysterious death, and sisterly bonds that can’t be broken across the centuries. There are even dual love stories woven throughout that will leave your heart happy🩵 This book has it all!

Hope and Grace Cooper are twin sisters that have a gift for time travel. From the opening, you can sense their bond and love for one another. They alternate living in Salem, Massachusetts, in 1692 and New York City in 1912. They have to navigate trials and tribulations in both eras. They work in their father’s tavern in one century. In the other, Hope is a pilot and Grace a journalist. Plus, they are on the precipice of their 25th birthday when they each will have to decide what era to stay in permanently. With multiple plot lines going on, I loved that we get both Hope and Grace’s POV. I implore you to go into this one blind though-I did and it was such a treat!!

The sister’s care and affection for each other was one of my favorite things about this book and made it such a joy to read. There is a bittersweet element to the ending, but it leaves you feeling content and at peace for the characters and their decisions. Grace and Hope show that love and connection of the heart have no bounds. They are limitless even across time. Ultimately what shines throughout is how much they love family and value their faith. I can’t wait to read more from this author! This is book three in the Timeless Series but can be read as a stand-alone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Analysis: Gabrielle Meyer does it again with her third book in the Timeless Series! Sometimes it’s hard to imagine how the new book can live up to the hype when the others are so good, but Gabrielle keeps you turning the page for more! I really enjoyed reading about the 1692 Salem Witch Trials from a Christian perspective. I think it’s often shied away from in Christian fiction, but here we see the trials that Grace and Hope faced and how they still looked to the sovereignty of God even in heartbreaking situations. The 1912 timeline was just as intriguing! Women in aviation has recently been fascinating to me, and Gabrielle knows how to write adventure well. I think the thing I loved most about this book was just seeing the family bond between Grace and Hope and watching them discover their own identities while also holding on to that relationship. This series is one of my favorites ever! It proves that Christian fiction can be both timeless, truth-filled, and exciting!

This book is a mixed bunch of feelings, so I’ll do my best to give them all credit!

- I ADORED the first book in this series and think the premise is sheer genius. The plot of this book in particular, time traveling twins, was such a fun take on it. That aspect of the book was extremely well done!
- I found the plot itself to be lacking despite a fantastically written outer shell. Early 1900s, aviation, family trouble + late 1600s Salem witch trials = really intriguing setup. However, the details that would enhance these timelines and glue it all together were just meh. I felt like the author relied on the big punch the historical times themselves lended without adding anything to it herself. If you strip away the obvious things, not much remains.
- The romances were predictable and not very swoony. I’m ok with predictability- there’s only so many directions they can go for a HEA. But two timelines, twins, possible love triangle. It could have been a bit more tense or emotionally passionate (to be clear: not open door!) to build up the characters’ relationships.
- I am not sure I can fully identify what makes the Christian aspect of a Christian fiction cheesy or not to me. But when it’s a story with “because it’s God’s plan” or “I’ve been praying for you”- just generic, cliché phrases tossed in- I’m not sure I think it’s necessary and feels forced.

Will I read more books in this series? YES. This is just not my favorite. However, I’m in the minority for sure and am so happy the hype is there for this book. It is so well-deserved.

I absolutely adore this series! Two iconic eras with two time traveling twins captured my imagination and didn’t let go. With two previous time crossing novels, I was impressed by how the author made this story unique and added another fun, exciting, fresh aspect to the series. Grace and Hope have inherited the birthmark which marks them as time crossers. When they go to sleep in 1692, Salem, Massachusetts, they wake up in 1912, New York and vice versa. They’ll experience this time crossing until their 25th birthday when they’ll have to decide which time period they’ll stay in permanently.

In 1692, Salem, the infamous witch trials have begun and Grace & Hope are right in the center of them. Their father’s decided to remarry which changes everything, especially when rumors about their mother resurface. While the sisters endure 1692 until they can chose 1912 permanently, Grace finds herself in love with Isaac, a handsome farmer. But, Isaac only has eyes for Hope. Can she win his heart or will she be forced to leave her unrequited love?

In 1912, Hope’s an actress who wants to be the first American woman to pilot an aeroplane across the English Channel. Grace is also breaking records as a female journalist for the New York Globe. Hope’s flight instructor is the dashing, famous French pilot Lucas Voland whom she’s in love with. As she risks her life to make history, Grace is there to cover it. But, while Hope has her sights on Luc, he has his on someone else.

Hope & Grace were aptly named. Grace’s the epitome of patience, kindness and grace. She tends to be overshadowed by her twin and often acquiesces to her desires. Hope’s stubborn, fearless, and tends to get her way. I loved the growth these sisters experience as Grace learns to think beyond Hope’s wishes and Hope grows in faith, humility, and selflessness. Their unique, thrilling love stories and adventures are filled with twists & turns. I was on pins and needles wondering what would happen next!

Both time periods the twins experienced are interesting. I’ve always been fascinated by the 1692 Salem Witch Trials & this story not only captured the mystery & fervor of that turbulent time but also added a new historical layer I hadn’t heard of before. I also enjoyed 1912 which was iconic for several amazing historical events. I loved the way the author captured the thrill of flying with Hope whose character was based on actual female pilot, Harriet Quimby. Don’t miss the historical notes at the end for more information.

Highest of recommendations for this romantic, suspenseful, faith-filled story! I can’t wait for the next book in the series! I received an advanced complimentary copy from the author and publisher. All opinions are my own and voluntarily provided.

I am so grateful I got to read an early review of this book because now I have a new favorite author! Gabrielle Meyer did an excellent job using history to instantly immerse the reader into the story. I loved reading about her research at the end of the book. It's amazing how much of the story was based on real people and events. While this is the third book in her series you can easily read it as a standalone. It is difficult to have two different narrators with distinct voices but Meyer nailed it. Throughout the book, I found my interest changing between the two narrators. First getting engrossed in one of their storylines and then the other. The pacing is well done. Overall, it's just an incredibly enjoyable read. There is also a Christian message throughout the story which was well done. It felt genuine and left me feeling uplifted at the end of the book. This would be a great book for a book club!

Wow, For a Lifetime is another astonishing book in the excellent Timeless series.

I loved the first two and couldn’t believe after such complex time crossing storylines, the author would attempt the same feat with twin sisters. Just wow. I have to admit, I’m not a lover of the Salem Witch Trials as a backdrop, but the tension the situation created was so masterfully used that Ms Meyer needs to take a bow.

The alternative timeline was a real treat for me as it took place in the very early stages of aviation, and I’m a pilot’s wife. Both timeframes held significant challenges and more than one shark intake of breath shocks. Then comes the twist about two thirds of the way though, so clever it made my head hurt as I worked through the ramifications.

As ever, the historical research seems meticulous and I felt the anxiety in Salem and the excitement at every airfield. I can hardly wait for book four to see what could possibly top the first three.

My bestie Katie read FOR A LIFETIME a couple days before me and she asked me what percentage I was at and she said I’m at (this) percentage and I need to talk! When I got to a certain point, I checked where I was at and sure enough, I was at (that) percentage and texted her immediately. My heart was in my throat. (No spoilers here!)

This book is stunning. I cried, cringed (wow, 1692 Salem was SO frustrating), cheered, and felt so many more emotions. The Author’s Note was also amazing.

Trust me. Read this series!

This is book three in the TIMELESS series. I do feel they could be read as standalones, because the author does a fantastic job of explaining the marks and the time travel, but you’d have a better appreciation of the story if you read them in order.

Gabrielle NEVER lacks in the accuracy in her history, or the real and raw emotions she packs in. This book will have you feeling allllll the feels! With two timelines, set during the Salem Witch Trials and the other in the early 1900’s during the start of aviation, you know you’re going to get a lot of excitement, drama, and heartache. But she packs in the perfect amount of romance and God, and it all balances out for a story that will have you craving more, and thinking about it until you get to pick it up again.
The start of the book was a little bit slower paced, and is a lot more just day to day tasks. I still enjoyed it, but the real action and page turning starts in the second half, so don’t even think about putting it down if you’re feeling a little slow.
I loved the Dual POV between the twin sisters. It was so fun to see things from both their eyes, and their very different personalities. They see the world so differently, and I loved getting to know both of them.
Another fantastic book in this series and I CANNOT wait for book 4. I *think* I have guessed what will happen in the next book, but we will just have to wait and see.

Absolutely compelling! I have thoroughly enjoyed each book in this series. Though it can be read as a standalone, I believe it is better to read them in the order and experience the cleverness of the whole series.

"For a Lifetime grabbed me from the first line and had me intrigued to the very end. I couldn't wait to see what era twin sisters Hope and Grace Eaton chose to remain in. "It was a strange reality to be on the precipice of tragedy and not be able to stop it. Stranger, still, to live two simultaneous lives and know that one day I would have to choose one and leave the other forever." Loved the two heroes in each time period too, Isaac Abbott, a kind and trusted farmer, and Lucas Voland, a talented French pilot.

Set in Salem in 1692 with the looming witch trials, and in New York and DC in 1912 in the early aviation era, I found both time periods fascinating! The author has done tremendous research and I could not put this story down. I loved all the history written into this story. Another incredible edition to the Timeless series, and I eagerly anticipate the next one. I'm hooked!

I will admit that I was quite bored in the beginning of this book, and no, it had nothing to do with the book itself. I'm just not a fan of the Salem Witch Trials part of history. I found the 1912 timeline significantly more interesting simply because it wasn't 1692.
That being said, this book eventually drew me right in and after the 50% mark, I couldn't put it down as the stakes got higher and higher for the characters.
I was quite fond of Hope as she had a lot of character growth throughout the story. She started off as quite selfish and through the trials she went through, slowly started to soften and change.
I will eagerly be waiting for the next installment of the series.

Gabrielle Meyer’s Timeless series is one of the most beautiful, intriguing, touching sequences of stories that I’ve read. This is Book 3 (and while I feel they can stand alone, they’re better enjoyed in order) and I was immersed into the dual timelines of early aviation in 1912 and the beginnings of the Salem Witch Trials in 1692.

As a girl who dreamed of being an astronaut and who also had a chance to visit Salem in the autumn of 2022, I was deeply touched by Hope’s and Grace’s experiences. Yes, they are twins. Each night when they go to sleep, they wake up in the other time period, with no time passing. Since I don’t want to give any spoilers, I will say that reading more about the Salem period was heart-wrenching. When my sisters, mom, and I visited, it was in October and as added to the Author’s Notes, this charming town is sensationalized. But as we read accounts and stories, giving ourselves a walking tour, it felt slightly eerie to walk where these people walked and to know how horrifying this bit of history was.

This author never ceases to amaze me with her writing style and ability to connect the reader with the characters and I will forever devour her works. The longing and emotion were authentic and caught my heart and soul.

Book 3 in the Timeless series is about Hope and Grace, twin sisters who time-cross together between 1692 Salem, Massachusetts and 1912 New York. Dual timelines and dual points of view keep this story moving at a brisk pace. There are a lot of twists and turns to this story, some I expected and some that I did not. Grace and Hope are well written, relatable characters. I loved the inclusion of other time crossers from previous books. This is such a great series, I’m already looking forward to reading book 4.

I was excited when I saw that this book was finally coming out! I enjoyed the first two books in the series, and although normally I’m content to wait until the next book comes out, this is a series that is hard to wait for. Meyer does an excellent job pulling you into the story and then ending things in a satisfying way (sometimes with a bit of a cliffhanger), and that’s kept me coming back time after time.

This was such a fun continuation of the series, in so many ways. I loved the aspect of having twin time-crossers; twins have always intrigued me anyway, but seeing them in this sort of situation was especially interesting to me—and a lot of fun! I also thoroughly enjoyed the history, since both events/time periods featured in this story were ones that I wasn’t overly familiar with. Add to that family dynamics, a bit of danger, and some sweet romance, and you get a bit of an idea of how fun this story was.

I did struggle with some things as I read. There is a feminist slant in the story, where women are competing in a man’s world. A few of the more romantic scenes had slightly more description than I thought necessary (although that, generally, didn’t seem to be quite as intense in this book as some others). The characters, although Christians, didn’t seem to spend much time praying about what decisions they should make—their decisions seemed more based on feelings and preferences than on seeking the Lord.

Overall, though, I thoroughly enjoyed this read. I think it took me about two days to get through, which made it even more fun—I LOVE being sucked into a book to the point of hardly being able to put it down! Gabrielle Meyer has a very easy-to-read writing style, and I love the way she brings beauty and hope into difficult situations. If you enjoy historical fiction with a twist, I’d recommend you check this series out. I’ve loved all of them so far, and can’t wait to read the next book—its release can’t come fast enough!

Gabrielle Meyer's Timeless series moved to the top of my favorites list when I read book one, When the Day Comes, and has stayed at the top of my list with each new installment.

Gabrielle writes in a way that leaves you desperate for more. More pages. More chapters. More heart-pounding tension. More time in her incredible stories with the incredible characters she's created. For a Lifetime was no different. I wanted more of Hope and Grace and their beautiful story of growth and faith and adventure. I wanted more of the immersive history of 1692 and 1912. I wanted so much more, but only because what I already had was so good.

These sisters experienced so much, and each page had me gasping, laughing, or crying—or just fascinated. From the very beginning, I was pulled into the narrative, and I enjoyed every moment of this story.

All of the characters were deep and real and it was so easy to picture each scene as the author wove her story with powerful prose. Gabrielle Meyer is one of my favorite authors, and I will forever read her books, no questions asked.

Another fantastic installation of the Timeless series.

If you are new to the Timeless series, each book has a person (or persons) that are living in different timelines. When they go to sleep in one they wake up in another. Once they reach a certain age they must choose which life to keep and which to forfeit.

The timelines in this novel 1692, Salem Witch Trials, and 1912, beginning of aviation and the Titanic 😱.

I absolutely adore this series and loved this book as much as the others. I’d find myself holding my breath and biting my nails wondering how things would turn out. There are strong themes of faith and hope woven throughout.

The romance is sweet and swoony and played out exactly how I wanted. I’ve already gone back and read a few of my favorite scenes 😏.

I would suggest reading these in order. Each book is worth it and they build so well on each other.
