This book follow Kit and Andie who both decide (for reasons) to take part in a reality show, where people get paired for marriage and meet the person they get married to for the first time at the altar. Imagine both of their astonishment when they realise they 1) know each other from before and 2) have already dated years ago and then things went very wrong.

Now they have 8 weeks to live together and decide whether to stay married or divorce. Andie is in it for the money each couple gets for the damage if the couple decides to divorce as her business would really need some extra money and Kit on the other hand has promised his mother to settle down and start a family. They both want different things from their marriage and they spent the 8 weeks trying to manage the needs of them both while also maybe falling in love again? The decision day is coming though and they need to decide whether they wanna stay married or divorce for the good.

This book was an absolute delight to read! I loved Andie and i loved Kit and I loved them together. This book had so many important talks and realizations of life and love and i loved how Andie and Kit weren't the perfect lovers or persons but they were so human and it made me love reading the book. There was so much chemistry and i couldn't stop reading. The story was fast-paced enough for me to enjoy every second but also took enough time to establish everything. Communication between Andie and Kit was so good. I absolutely loved Kit's mom and she had so many great lines. Loving somebody truly is a choice <3 i loved that so much.

I don't usually watch reality tv but this book was perfect. 5 stars. would absolutely recommend!!

Who doesn't love a reality show? And put it in a book and I'm yours 👀. It really felt like I was watching a TV show.

I enjoyed reading about Kit and Andie believing in a second chance. I really wished this book was a little longer than it is because there were some very important conversations between the main characters that felt not finished at all.

Miscommunication is a trope that is hardly loved by me- this book has a lot of that- started since their first breakup and continued with the second one. And both breakups would have been solved easily just with a tiny conversation 🫣😮‍💨. Also Kit attitude almost in the last chapters? Like I really was mad at him 🤣.

Regardless of this, the plot is very simple. Andie is on the reality show only for the money she would receive from a divorce- she desperately needs money to continue with her business. He is on it because his mom wants him to find love again... So you can imagine how both are surprised to find each other at the altar after 10 years without communication.

After a long week at work I'm so happy I was able to read this lovely story 🫶🏽. I recommend this book if you're okay reading miscommunication trope 👀.

This is a sweet second chance romance with the fake dating trope in the form of a "married at first sight" reality TV show. While I'm not a huge fan of these kind of shows in real life, this story had me smiling while I read it. While the chemistry between the main characters felt a little forced at times (i.e. the first spicy scene), I enjoyed Andie and Kit's relationship. Good banter, lots of personal growth, and an overall feel-good read.

This was such a sweet read! I love stories set in the world of reality TV (especially with a romance element!), and I thought that aspect of the plot was really well-done. Beyond the love story, I also appreciated the growth and complexity we saw in both Andie and Kit's characters. I did struggle to get into the story a little bit at first, but after the first few chapters, I was hooked! This was a second chance romance between wedding gown designer, Andie and architect, Kit. They dated for a few months in college until Kit abruptly left without an explanation.
Now, years later, they are each preparing to enter a reality TV show where the premise is you marry a stranger, sight unseen, and you have 8 weeks to see if your marriage will last.
They are both shocked as Andie walks down the aisle to none other than, Kit!

This whole premise reminded me a lot of my favourite reality show, Love is Blind! I really enjoyed it, couldn't put it down! I loved Andie & Kit and the whole cast of characters. While the reality show idea was wild (it's totally something I would watch), their backstories were totally grounded with layers and it was just so fun and cute!

10 years after their breakup, Andie and Kit are paired up on a reality TV show. They must get married and live together for 8 weeks. Although they both have different reasons for being on the show, there is no denying the sparks between them even after all those years apart.

I thought the reality TV premise was a fun twist in a rom-com. Especially pairing up two people that used to date. At first Andie was stubborn and prickly towards Kit. She had trouble letting him in. But the small gestures, like making him pocket squares, allowed her softer side to shine through. She was a wedding dress designer. I loved how passionate she was about her career. Kit noticing which dresses were hers was one of my favorites scenes.

There were a lot of ups and downs between Andie and Kit. Sometimes a bit too much for me. They developed new feelings but also had to address what happened in the past. Once they opened up to each other, the book really started to get in a groove for me. I became more invested and connected with the characters.

The relationship building was really well done in this story, specifically in the first 85% of the book. The growth of Andie and Kit as they reconnected was very believable and paced well. I enjoyed seeing Andie’s initial reluctance and believed her vulnerability as the book continued. The confusing part for me was at the end where the decision day took place. The pacing felt strange and sudden and the conflict was not believable to me. Ultimately that is what pushed it down from a 4 to a 3.

This book offered a delightful pace that kept me engaged from start to finish. The dynamic between the central couple was beautifully portrayed, and their journey of rekindling their love was heartwarming to follow.

While I'm usually drawn to stories set in the reality show realm, I found the portrayal in this book somewhat exaggerated. For example, the introduction of affectionate nicknames early on seemed forced, given the characters' supposed recent acquaintance. It created a slight dissonance in an otherwise charming narrative.

Despite these minor hiccups, the book delivered on its promise of a cute and fast-paced romance read. The writing style was engaging, and the storyline kept me hooked throughout.

Lo estaba disfrutando hasta que llegó lo de la operación de Maureen (el ultimo 1/4), después de eso sentí que Andie se volvió una tonta por alguien que la aleja constantemente. Me enojó ver como ella le dejó y demostró una y otra vez que lo amaba, pero el idiota de Kit no lo veía, en su cerebro ella lo alejaba, no se como interpreto que ella dejara las grabaciones( incluso si eso significaba que la descalificarían) para apoyarlo con la operación como que ella no lo quería, o sea puso en peligro su sustento.

El día de la decisión quien debió dar esa respuesta era Andie, no Kit.

Odie que a pesar de como terminaron las cosas en el programa, Andie siguió intentando llegar al tarado de Kit y que al final él sólo tuvo que presentarse a la semana de la moda para que ella saltará a sus brazos.

El se equivoco y fue ella quien hizo "el gran acto", no fue justo.

Que tristeza, iba a ser un 4⭐️ y disfrute verlos como esposos.

Did I scream at this book "just kiss already"? Yes, yes I did. I do really love second chance romances. That's one of my two favorite tropes, so I was always going to enjoy this one. Andie and Kit dated in college and broke up over a miscommunication. A decade later they accidentally find themselves married on a reality show. I rather enjoyed that they were actually (because of the show) forced to talk with therapists and work through their problems. Neither one is a perfect person, but I really like that the story hinges on them being willing to work on their issues together.

Delving into the realm of second chance romance through the lens of a matchmaking TV show brought a fresh and creative spin to the genre. Kit and Andie's attempts to navigate their way back to each other amidst the backdrop of this unconventional setting made for an engaging storyline. While their stubbornness occasionally irked me, it also added layers of authenticity to their characters, making their journey all the more compelling. I do wish there was more depth to their characters. Overall, this book offered a blend of unique concept and second chance romance.

I really enjoyed this book. It was different than anything else I've read recently. I couldn't put it down! I will keep an eye out for this author's future work!

I thoroughly enjoyed Not You Again! We follow Andie and Kit, who are exes, as they're set up to get married before they meet (in theory, but the whole exes thing kind of ruins that element) as part of a reality TV show. The producers roll with them already knowing each other, so they're forced to live out an eight-week-long marriage, which includes living together, meeting each other's families, and working with a therapist to see if they can make the marriage last. I liked how it kind of gave insights into the reality of reality TV, and the author incorporated it into the story really well. The growth in Andie and Kit was wonderful and I liked how the ending didn't quite go how I expected it to. There were a couple of very open-door scenes, but they could be skipped over without missing part of the plot. Overall, it was a fun romance that felt fresh and different!

I really loved the concept, plot, and the characters. I feel like the story fell short with how many words were used to describe things and dragged on. I often had to catch myself and go back and reread because I would seek out dialog versus the descriptions. I appreciate the interviews in between the show following the characters. The emotional depth of the characters were nice, having a mother with cancer I could relate to the MMC, and his need to be with his mom, and the MFC having to find peace with herself, and trust within the MMC. It really felt like a Married at First Sight, which was so nice, and so different. The slow burn, and tension between the characters was nice. I still would recommend this book to others, and especially my contemporary romance girlies!

I love the second chance romance trope, and I adore reality TV. So, after reading the synopsis, I knew that this book would be perfect for me! "Not You Again" had me immediately hooked, and I thoroughly enjoyed every single page. It's like "Married At First Sight," but with the added twist of discovering that your partner is your ex from college! A lighthearted romance was exactly what I wanted, and Ingrid Pierce most definitely delivered. Whenever someone asks me for beach read recommendations, I always look for a list of novels to recommend, and "Not You Again" is a 5-star novel that is going to the top of that list. I have not read Ingrid Pierce before this, I'm excited to read more from her in the future!

What a touching story Andie and Kit have! They meet in art class, fall for each other, and date for a while before a personal tragedy and miscommunication put an end to their relationship, leaving Andie heartbroken.

Several years later, Andie is fighting for her dreams of becoming a wedding dress designer, and what she lacks are the funds to get her business off the ground. Her friend suggests she apply to a reality TV show, "Married At First Sight," and then divorce in order to pocket the compensation money. After all, there's no risk of her actually wanting to stay married, especially since she has dedicated herself to her career after her youthful love. However, fate has other plans, as on the big day, she discovers that her unknown husband is none other than Kit.

I really enjoyed their story; they're adorable, with their small gestures, awkward moments, and misunderstandings. I also found the context of the reality TV show to be an original idea; it's like being invited to the front row backstage!
