Double the lesbians? HECK YES! I adore this cozy fantasy adventure! I can’t wait to see where else this world leads!

The first book had books and tea. Now with the addition of a crocheting constable I was wondering if the author wrote this book just for me. Another wonderful cozy fantasy. The plot moved right along and took us on a nice little side quest. The epilogue gave us a little glimpse of what is to come. There is even a bonus extra story for those who want there books a little more on the steamy side. Can't wait to read the next one!

If you enjoyed the first book, this one is even better. There's more Kianthe and Reyna (and their gryphon friends) following up on the lost/stolen dragon eggs from the first book. There are new friends and pirates (some of the new friends may also *be* pirates) and adventures and fun.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

I wasn't sure how Rebecca Thorne was going to top the first book in this series, which I deeply enjoyed, but then she went and introduced pirates, so that answered that question. I liked that this series is still following Reyna and Kianthe while also introducing other characters and their storylines, instead of focusing completely on other characters and maybe having a cameo or two from the original two (I do love series that operate like that, but I also love Reyna and Kianthe, so I'm happy). Ponder is by far my new favorite character in this series, by the way, for obvious reasons. And adding another cozy hobby to this world in the form of a crocheting constable? Genius. I 'm very much looking forward to the third installment and whatever cozy hobby that will introduce!

Cosy lesbian pirates. What more do you need to know? Go forth and read! Really enjoyed this. If you like Legends and Lattes, this is for you.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an advanced copy!!! I thought you said low stakes Rebecca!!! Don't get me wrong, super cozy, some friends to enemies to lovers gloriousness, pirates that are debonair and swoon worthy, and cute griffons. But there were definitely stakes!! Rude. But just as fun as the first and I now anxiously await the third.

This is a great follow up to the first book. The writing is cozy, witty and pretty.

The dedication though! Honestly I will buy a copy just because of it.

Can't wait for more in this series!

Before I started writing this review I was running through what I wanted to say in my head and I just couldn’t seem to get the words to come out properly. They’re just a jumble of love and praise, no sense. It’s beautifully written with adorable set of characters that would leave you smiling like a loon; making it a perfect comfort read for sure.

This should be on everyone’s radar because the kind of escapism and message of hope in ‘A Pirate's Life for Tea’ makes it a perfect balm, and an important read in the fantasy realm. I’m so enjoying this series and seriously can’t wait enough for the third one already!

Loved the dedication!! “To the people who gave me one-star reviews because the first book “had lesbians” – I doubled the lesbians in this one. Just for you.” PERFECT!

I stopped after chapter 1 (3%) but this feels well in line with the first book, Can’t Spell Treason Without Tea. Fans will be absolutely thrilled, with an easy 3-4 stars and 5 for the right readers.

Thank you to NetGalley and Tor/Bramble for the ARC.

This was a great follow up to Can't Spell Treason Without Tea. Witty and fun, we see our favorite characters off on yet another adventure!

Absolutely grateful to Rachel @ Tor who offered me an ARC of this title two days after I requested it via Netgalley.

As with the first book in this trilogy, I really enjoyed this cozy, medium-low stakes fantasy which continued to expand on the world building and the long term arcs.

This book also introduced two new main, and a whole cast of supporting characters to join Reyna and Kianthe. Though Bobbie and Serina were obviously the focused story of these characters, everyone was given enough page time to give us a sense of their character. And while Bobbie's and Serina's building relationship didn't quite have the kind of emotional angst that is my favourite, that Reyna and Kianthe got annoyed with their stubbornness before I did was good on Thorne's part. Once relationships and characters who are supposed to be an endgame pairing start rehashing the same issues with no progress past a certain part of the story, I stop vibing with a pairing.

I still want a whole story about Feo and Wylan, but I also want a book with the Dastardly Pirate Dreggs and their crew. From what we got to see, they sound a whole lot of fun and maybe Thorne is leaving the possibility for themselves open if they decide on the right story.

Looking forward to the third book which is aimed towards tying up another one of the plots initiated in book one as previewed by the epilogue.

Absolutely love the introduction of new characters, and how they change up the dynamic with characters established in the first book. It takes the cozy element on the road, proving that cozy doesn't mean no stakes are involved in the story.

LOVED this! So great to see Kianthe and Reyna’s story continue, with some new friends! While searching for the dragon eggs, they get mixed in some trouble and attempt to help Bobbie, a constable, apprehend some pirates who stole from the dairn. Reyna, ever observant, sees there is more between the pirate Serina and constable Bobbie and decides to play matchmaker.

I love Rebecca Thorne’s humorous and fun style. This and her other books are always so enjoyable and entertaining! With enough action to keep the pages turning, this lands on the more adventurous side of cozy fantasy but still retains a warm feeling.

A delightful expansion of the world, with more Griffons, more Tea, and more Romance! I very much appreciate the continuation of Kianthe and Reyna's stories (romantic and quest), with the addition of Bobbie and Serina's friends to adversaries to lovers journey, as well as the assorted supporting cast, returning and new.
