This is a really cute book that was very informative as well. The photos were cute. I learned so much about hedgehogs and I think my elementary School student would absolutely love this and would probably beg me to buy him a hedgehog
I love hedgies and I’d love to have one as a pet one day. So while I may not be the target audience for this well done how-to manual on pet hedgehog ownership I still found the information inside very useful with adorable photos. The graphics and headings are eye-catching, Information is clear and concise. I had no idea it’s illegal to have a pet hedgie in some states. I’d buy this for a child in my life.
Thanks to the author and publisher for the NetGalley e-arc I received in exchange for my honest review.
My 17yo daughter has been obsessed with hedgehogs for years. Although she's a bit older than the target demographic for this book, she still learned some new things about what it takes to have a hedgie of your own. It discusses the differences between wild and pet hedgehogs, as well as the needs of pets regarding food, shelter, cleanliness and vet care. A solid guide for kids thinking of acquiring one of their own.
