Funny approach for a self help book! I really appreciate all of the suggestions for taking charge of your life and making improvements... Like David Vienna says, starting change only takes one small step. Really enjoyed this book and felt so relevant with the new year starting.

A book that maybe wasn't for me, but I know who the perfect audience is for this one. This book is for that reader who loves to read all of the health and fitness books AND I would suggest reading this book at the beginning of the year. I think it is one that is very general on a lot of subjects.

This was very witty and enjoyable to read. I found the author to be funny and lighthearted like I was listening to my friend talk to me or someone I like at a gathering. The book covered many good topics and found it a good read.

A humorous look at health related anxiety issues, something I dealt with pretty majorly in 2022! Thank you so much for helping myself not take things too seriously, this was a breath of fresh air.

As a worrier and hypochondriac myself, this book really hit home. It's always comforting to know there are other people out there who experience the same thoughts and feelings and worries as I do. (enough to write a book about it!)

This was a great read for me when I was in a weird headspace, and I am thankful for this! I have recommended it to several people

I really liked this book!

Maybe don't take it toooo seriously, if that makes sense? It's not presented like HEY IM A THERAPIST AND YOU NEED TO DO THIS. The way it's given is really delicate and nice, and almost like a casual way to give suggestions to improve certain aspects of your life. I appreciated that. This book handled topics well and I enjoyed how it was laid out and organized. And the title is definitely catchy!

Much better than simple undirected positive reinforcement! What would make it even better is to have it available in an audio format. I already need to have the robot read to me, so I feel that I get maximum benefit from reading and being able to reread this very beneficial book in this time of the world. I especially enjoy all of the humor and quips!
I requested and received an e-book copy from Chronicle Books via NetGalley. Thank you!

Funny, irreverent guide to being healthy physically & mentally. But underneath that irreverence are some very practical explanations and advice. It’s sort of a practical “don’t worry, you got this” explanation on a variety of health topics. I definitely recommend this quick, easy, informative read.

Maybe it’s just not what I was expecting? It felt like 75% was about weight loss/fitness and 10% was citations, aside from that there was a small chapter about hating your job. Nothing much about being a hypochondriac and I think to use that term here can be seen as pretty misleading. Overall, a humorous book about health & fitness but not about anxiety, worry, or hypochondria.

This title sold me. The format and subject matter was presented in a way that feels like a discussion with a friend . Would make for a great book club book. Fast read. As someone who is definitely an overthinker with anxiety I knew I needed this book.

This book has such a fun and casual way of presenting key lessons of being happier, healthier, and more balanced. It has lessons and tips on meditating, mindfulness, diets, exercise, and so much more. It’s funny, fun, and informative!

Good, basic common sense advice about all sorts of health related issues (mental and physical), given in a fun, light hearted way. Nothing here is especially ground breaking, but it is an entertaining reminder that everything is probably going to be just fine. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Pretty Sure You're Fine: The Health and Wellness Guide for Hypochondriacs, Overthinkers, and Worrywarts by David Vienna includes easy, practical suggestions on how to simply overhaul your life.

The author uses his wit to provide easy suggestions to become a healthier version of yourself. As the author suggests, starting change only takes one small step. It boils down to making a commitment, looking at it as a gift you give yourself, remembering that everyone struggles, and putting one foot in front of the other.

The book and author's sense of humor reminded me of a good therapy session or chat with a close friend. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it.

I rate this a solid 4 out of 5 stars.

Pretty Sure You're Fine by David Vienna is a reality check in a book to explain that no matter what you think for over thinkers to anyone in between you have this. Your life is going to be okay. You are going to achieve your goals. This book is like a friend or family member giving you tough love when it comes to your health and wellness goals. I like that they do mention that medical professional do need to be advised for certain topics but you are okay. This is a must read for any health lover .

If you into a bunch of random facts for the WebMD set, you might enjoy this brief nonfiction. Similarly to the last page of a magazine, the prose is as colloquial & jokey, like that uncle (even unrelated) who sends yearly recaps to catchup with the fam.

This title really caught my eye. As someone who is definitely an overthinker and a worrywart in so many ways, I just needed to dive in. I love the layout of the book and the subject matter that is discussed. It feels like a discussion with a friend on how to help yourself, but in a fun way. It’s a friend that understands your worries and doesn’t judge you for feeling any sort of way.
The titles of some of the chapters were very funny, in example; “I don’t love fast food, it loves me”. Some topics discussed are pyshical health and mental health, as well as touching on nutrition, yoga, and social media rage.
Thank you to Netgalley and Chronicle Books for an eARC in exchange for my review

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the chance to read and review this book.
This was a very good one for me as it applied to me. I am a worrier and I have anxiety so I found this book to be interesting and also useful.
If you are a worrier, over thinker or a generally anxious person then this is a great book to read.
If you don’t fall into those categories then you may not enjoy it as much as I did.

This book was written like a mini therapy session. Several health and wellness topics are discussed including exercise, diet, and stress which were presented in a myth and myth buster format. Although the book does not offer any groundbreaking tips, it is presented in a well though out manner and divided up into different sections to present serious and important advice in small digestible amounts, along with some humor. I would recommend this book.
