Thanks for the advanced copy NetGalley!

I've used the Noom app a couple of times, and this book is perfectly in-line with the app. I was a bit surprised that the book covers the creaters of the Noom app, and their why. Kind of felt like two men wanted to start a business, so bam they created a few things and ended up at Noom. It doesn't read as if they wanted to help people, but reads as of they wanted a money making business lol, no shame though.

Many people love Noom, I have a male co-worker that lost 100+ pounds using the app. It wasn't for me, but it works for many. They say no food is off limits, but food is labeled red, yellow, and green. Red food is triggering for me, I wish they would've used a neutral color because we all know red is bad.

I think some people will LOVE this book, especially app users. Would suggest of you're a Noom user!

I was excited when I saw this book available. I signed up for Noom over the summer and really enjoy the approach. Its not just about weight loss, its about healthy habits and long lasting changes. I use the app and enjoy that approach but this book allowed it to go a bit deeper. As someone who has tried different modes of weight loss, I enjoyed reading this book.

This is less about weight and more about mind sets in general and how to re-frame your thinking to achieve goals. Good advice in general but not super focused on food/diet/exercise.

I've been curious about Noom for a while (but never got around to digging into it or signing up for it) so was very excited when I saw they had a book all about the Noom mindset. The information provided in this book had some practical advice (eat more veggies, move more, etc.) but also some advice you wouldn't expect from a weight loss standpoint. Overall it was a quick book to read and informative. I would have liked some more examples or to read some success stories throughout and it also would have been nice to have a "key points" summary at the end of each chapter like I've seen in other self-help type books.

I won't say that the information isn't valuable, there are some great pieces of advice within the book. However, it reads like it was written by a bot. There's something too glossy and impersonal about the writing style that makes it feel a lot like an advertisement, and not very enjoyable.

The diet industry is a multi-million dollar industry as many Americans now struggle with their weight. The Noom mindset is an easy to understand manual to teach you how to make life changes to manage your weight and nutrition. This book attempts to instruct individuals in ways to change your thinking to meet the goal of weight loss. While there are many other programs and books that focus on the act of losing weight, this book is different as it really focuses on changing thought processes to lose weight. During the reading of this book, one will learn about growth mindset, thought distortions, and motivation for achieving goals. Habits and thoughts are very impactful on the weight loss process. This book is easy to read and provides useful information. I recommend this book for anyone that has struggled or continues to struggle with maintenance of weight and/or weight loss. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the advance review copy in exchange for my honest review.
