I liked this a lot. I liked that the plot was different than anything I have read recently. The characters were crazy and a bunch of misfits. I like the alternating perspectives.

Grippingly unpredictable. Be prepared to put your life on hold! Taut and tense from the first page to the closing paragraphs……loved it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

In a unique “support group,” a group of pathological and compulsive liars meet each week to discuss their problems and try to work on their problems with lying. However, one week, Marnie helps out a member of the group, inviting her to stay at her house overnight to avoid an ex. However, the next week, Claire is gone. When she’s discovered murdered, Marnie and the other group members must ask themselves who could do such a thing, and more importantly, what if it’s one of them?

This book is unique in that about halfway through it “restarts” and tells the story over from a different perspective, giving you two views of events. The key is figuring out what is really happening and what is not, because after all, we’re talking about a group of confessed liars. And that’s really the thrill of it all. No one can be trusted and no one is innocent. Not even the victim.

And trust me, the book is full of twists that just do not let up, ever. I can’t really discuss too much about the plot because it’s best if you go in close, but wow, things get really intense and I was just glued to the pages! I could not put it down.

I highly recommend this book to someone looking for a great suspense filled mystery/thriller, filled with tension and twists that just leave you breathless. You won’t be disappointed!

I wasn’t blown away by this book. I found it very interesting but at the same time very forgettable. It just wasn’t for me

Liars Anonymous: A support group for compulsive and pathological liars. A unique whodunit filled with unreliable characters who are determined to get to the bottom of the murder of their fellow group member.

For me this was very much a take it or leave it read for the most part. I wasn't fond of the concept of not knowing whether the narrator was telling the truth - the lies aren't just told to the characters, they're told to the reader also. That being said, the end definitely took a turn for the better and I like how all of the loose ends were neatly tied together.

‘Okay, people. Grab your coffee, find a seat. Let’s get started. Welcome to LIARS ANONYMOUS.’
Marissa Finch’s latest thriller introduces us to a rag-tag group of people who otherwise may never cross paths. Some are there under court order, some referred by family and therapists and some volunteered (Yikes!). When Claire, one of the members offers up that she is pregnant and then goes missing, some wonder what happened to her while others go looking for her. When she is found, the group is thrown into chaos. Too many secrets and lies later, a bit here, a bit there, some of the group start to put the pieces together. They go to the police with their accusations, circumstantial at best only to run into a wall.
As suspicions continue to mount, the group continues to meet weekly.
It seems that everyone has a secret. Or is it merely a lie?
This one was a great riddle as there are many viewpoints to follow and perceptions to observe. LOVED IT!

I knew Liars Anonymous will become one of my domestic thriller favorite since the first I saw the title. A support group for liars tried to solve murder case that take one of their member. The problem is all of them is liar...
The story was grabbed me since the first chapter and keep me twisted every several chapters. The writing so good with very fast pace. I enjoyed both POV narrator.

The plot look simple but also brimming with information about liars and manipulative behaviors information. All the characters are morale grey and most of the time you will keep guessing. Some part of plots possible trigger some sensitive readers. I am not sure I like the epilogue part, I likely want those information blend into one of two previous POV.

Thank you Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for provided me this copy. My thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book caught my attention with the title "Liars Anonymous" and the fact it was a thriller was right up my alley. Growing up, I lived in a family where lying seemed to be second nature and it caused a lot of family drama more often than not, but at times it also seemed to calm the situation. Growing up in this house, it does open your eyes to the world of manipulation and how easy it is for some random person to believe a story. For instance, my sister once took ashes to school when she was in intermediate and told people I had died and was fundraising for my funeral. A) they were ashes from the fireplace and B) she was only 11-12 years old herself and already had years prior started compulsive lying for her advantage. Being close, I saw it but I seemed to be the only person who saw her true colours. In Liars Anonymous, it talks about a group of liars who are in group therapy - a bit like an AA meeting but for Liars. In this story, we have our main character Marnie who has a dark secret of her own, and Claire - our dead body. The book starts with the discovery of Claire's dead body and then learning her true identity and then Marnie trying to get to the bottom of who killed her and I have to say, I didn't expect this twist. Marnie has her own reasons for attending the group and wanting to get revenge on someone who hurt the person closest to her. If you love revenge and new identities/con artists then you will enjoy Marissa Finch's thriller "Liars Anonymous".

A support group for liars? Yes! This book made me think....about a lot of things including how we are as people in 2022/the 21st century. The things we notice and don't notice. The things we don't care about, the things we do care about regarding other people. I've been on reading frenzy lately with two broken ankles and this book hit the spot! Possible trigger...child abuse. That's usually a put it down deal breaker for me but I was ok with this one.

I was a bit skeptical by the premise of a "liar support group" but however unrealistic it might be, it lent a thoroughly twisty and entertaining spin on a murdered girl mystery. The story is told from the point of view of Marnie and Naomi, two members of the liars group. The story sucked me in and made me constantly second guess things and re-assess what I thought I knew.

This is a must read for thriller lovers and a great masterpiece in unreliable narrators.

Liars Anonymous by Marissa Finc
Marnie Thorpe is at Liars Anonymous for one reason, and it isn’t to make friends. Still, when beautiful, ephemeral Claire finds herself in trouble, Marnie steps in to help. Claire is being stalked, she says, so Marnie lets her crash at her house. She’s half convinced the whole thing is just another lie — until Claire turns up dead. Claire’s murder unlocks something in Marnie. Memories of another loss, another young woman taken too soon. Her gut tells her someone from their group is responsible, and that none of them are safe. But how can she uncover the truth when she’s surrounded by lies? How can she catch a killer when everyone around her is a liar?
I really enjoyed this book. Loved the cover. 5*.

There are very few books that have me thinking about them all day and night. This is one of them. Each chapter weaving a story told by several people s perspective. But don’t forget- they are members of Liars anonymous so you’re never really sure if you should believe what you’re reading, even though the characters make their points in a very convincing way. A page turner that has you guessing and every page has you wondering about the very possible lie you have just read

A brilliant concept that takes you in a reading rollercoaster of not only whodunnit but who lied the least.
