I haven't finished this book yet. I dont think I will. I have read about a quarter of this book and It is just in the last few pages gotten to the crux of the matter. I understand that this is for middle grade but the writing seems like it was written by a 12 year old as well. I am finding it hard to stay inspired to read it. And I love middle grade books and fantasy. It seemed like an interesting premise and maybe one day Ill read it again but as of right now I cannot bring myself to finish this bookl

This is the intriguing and entertaining start of a fantasy series. The author is a good storyteller, the world building is interesting and i liked the characters.
Want to read the rest of the series.

this was a great concept for a fantasy novel, it had a great way of telling the story and I enjoyed what I read. It was a great start to the Kingdom of Subterranea series and did what I was looking for. The characters were interesting and worked in this universe. I can't wait to read more from Cynthia Foran.
