Excuse me while I go decorate my house exclusively with cat Art. I loved the collection of Art and thought the captions were funny and relatable.

This was a hilarious little book. I just loved the sarcasm and humor, mixed with cat art. It gave me a lot of chuckles and LOL moments.
Great book for (adults) who love cats, art and snark!

For cat lovers and classic art lovers – even more so if you are both. Nicole Tersigni amusingly adds imagined cat commentary to classic artwork, and she perfectly captures cat attitude on every page. For me, this book was not as laugh-out-loud funny as other reviews suggested it would be. Most of the pages I found myself nodding and smiling [and thinking: yes, that’s very true!] with an occasional audible chuckle. I read this through once and enjoyed the commentary; then I read it a second time to really appreciate the artwork. I read this as an e-ARC and I believe I would have enjoyed the hard cover version of this book much more. A small screen is just not a good medium for consuming art. And that is why I would absolutely buy a physical copy as a gift for any cat owner/lover. It’s a quick, amusing read, and it’s fun to see (and realize) how often cats show up in classic artwork.
My thanks to Nicole Terisgni, NetGalley and Chronicle Books, for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book.

This was a very quick read through and honestly not my cup of tea. I am a dedicated cat mom and I really didn’t like the pictures and the jokes, although accurate, to a cat person, were not funny to me. Some others may enjoy the era photos.

This was a fun combo of classic artwork and snarky cat/human dialogue. It's really easy to just page through it, and I snorted with laughter at a couple of the panels. Anyone who lives with a cat will relate.

This was a cute and quick read. I had no idea how many times cats get featured in art and find it so hilarious that we've loved our cats this much always. The book was witty and funny, with some being funnier than others. My cat would definitely approve!

I have read every single one of Nicole’s books and own Men to Avoid in Art and Life. Every book since is fantastic. This one is no exception. Funny, gorgeous art work, and a necessary read even if you don’t have cats.

This was so funny!! My favorite was the proud parent section. I got really close to peeing my pants while reading this book. I definitely will be gifting it to a dear cat loving cousin who will most likely be texting me photos of the book throughout her day. If you ever have a gloomy day just prop this up and it will bring a smile to your face and a chuckle to your chest!
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

Loved this one! So fun and full of good cat moments for all stages of life. Meow! If you are a cat parent as I am, I am sure you will find humor and enjoyment as I did.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this arc.

Hysterically funny quotes and classic art with cats that make every cat lover guffaw in recognition. Recommended!

As a certified cat person I can’t wait to get my hands on a physical copy of this book so my cat can push it off the coffee table. It’s so funny and perfect.

A silly, light-hearted joke of a book that would make a good gift for most cat lovers. Each painting features a line or two of added dialogues, first for the human, and then the cat's response.
One of my favorites shows a man behind a bar with a cat curled up on the floor next to him. The superimposed dialogue for the man says "We've already sampled too many. I don't think we should have another." The cat is simply saying "*hiccup*".
Another favorite is the woman wearing a flower crown and holding a little branch of leaves up to her cat. She says "I got this for you so we can have matching flower crowns." The cat, while pawing at the branch, is saying "Don't the neighbors talk about us enough?"
I also very much like the painting of a man sitting in a chair with a cat on his lap. He's saying "I guess I'll cancel my plans for the rest of the day," to which the cat responds, "You're awfully chatty for a chair."

Be aware that many of the jokes are somewhat sophomoric (lots of cat butthole jokes, and litterbox jokes, but those are low-hanging fruit when it comes to making cat-related jokes, so I can't say I'm surprised). Quite a few about humans going to the bathroom as well. I mention this only to help you gauge if it would be the right fit for you / the recipient. (For example, one of my friends would think those jokes are hilarious, but another one of my friends would find it childish, so different strokes for different folks.) And be aware that there are also two jokes that could be read as ageist (they both make fun of an elderly person for having bathroom issues / incontinence). It's an odd stumble for a book that is otherwise pretty inoffensive, especially since these captions could be written about literally anything.

Overall, if you like cats and don't mind a bit of toilet-related humor, you'll likely love this fun little book.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing this eARC for unbiased review. This review will be cross-posted to my social media accounts closer to the book release date, in accordance with the publisher's request.

I read two of her other books, Men to Avoid in Art and Life and Parenting Advice to Ignore in Art and Life. Both of these books are beyond hilarious and in her cat book, it is equally good, especially if you like cats. I am not a cat person, but I still thoroughly enjoyed her book. Do be sure to catch her earlier books, as they are incredibly funny. Maybe because I am a Man and I am a Parent, I laughed louder and longer at those than at the present one. I am not a cat. But, were I a cat, I would find this book even more hilarious than the aforementioned two.

Thank you to NetGalley for an eARC copy of this book.

I absolutely adore this book. It is the perfect blend of humor and art. I loved Men to Avoid in Art and Life and Friends to Keep in Art and Life, so I knew that it would be just the perfect book to flip through. The silly captions line up perfectly and, as a cat owner, it made me smile. I highly recommend this for anyone who has ever had a pet cat or just loves cats in general.

As with Nicole's other books this one is a fun look at art with a dash of humor. I am not a cat person but I have friends who are and these remind me of stories I have heard from them over the years. Several were laugh out loud even for me. This is a perfect gift book for those cat people out there.

Funny, in an almost trying to hard way. A good gag gift for cat lovers/people in your life and a fun way to look at art and paintings. 4/5

It's cute, but I personally didn't find it all that funny. Too much of the same content/type of joke. There were a handful that I got a kick out of, though.

I love these little books. Men to Avoid in Art and Life was a fun read that made me chuckle. Being a cat lover, I knew I needed to read this book and I loved it! So many fun pictures and the cat comments are spot on!

This is the fourth book by the author placing funny captions on works of art. The focus on this one is paintings with cats, often focusing on what the cat may be thinking or saying. I can see this as a gift for cat lovers or a funny book to check out from a library. It reads quickly and doesn’t cause you to think too deeply. I love art and that was one of the main draws for me. The humor was very hit or miss. I appreciate that there is a listing of many of the art titles, artists and museums in the ending credits. And several of the paintings seem to be in the public domain. Thank you to Chronicle Books for the temporary ARC and I am leaving an honest review.

I love cats, art and humor. This book has all three. I loved every single picture and comment. I only wish this book were longer as it brought me to tears (of laughter). I plan to look for Nicole Tersigni’s other books as I liked this one so much.
