I enjoyed this read, but I feel a tad mislead. I thought the fantasy and magic was going to be more prominent throughout this book. It definitely read more like a Literary Fiction than a Fantasy. I think the magic was only key to the story in one event and was just a ✨ vibe ✨ throughout. The story-line was also more political than I was expecting plus the ending left a lot to be desired. There really wasn’t a resolution which I guess sets it up to left to the imagination or a sequel? I likes the writing style and I was definitely hooked, but I think there was just holes in the story that didn’t really get filled.
