Andie has been running away from the grief of her father's death and the anxiety of a major incident that took place while she was in university for years. Despite it all, she's landed her dream job as a senior book publicist. The catch is that the major author she's expected to travel all over parts of the US and Europe with is Jack Carlson, who happens to be the guy who ruined her life at university. She'll have to be as professional as she can if she hopes to make it a successful book tour, but Jack's easy charm isn't making it easy.

It's a great enemies-to-lovers romance that has a surprising amount of depth. It's not just about the chemistry between them and how hard Andie is fighting it; it's about grief, loss, and the effect the pressures of the past can have on the present. It's also about acceptance, communication, and growth, which are some of my favorite things in romance. Andie has to face a lot of things she doesn't want to, and the trip with Jack kind of forces her into it, but it's a forced kind of healing that feels amazingly satisfying. It also helps that Jack is just the right kind of book-boyfriend perfect where he feels too good to be true but does wind up showing at least one flaw to help ground him.

Delighted thanks to NetGalley and Penguin Books for the wonderful romance read!
