Leslie Harter-Berg lost her husband way too young. Left to raise two toddlers on her own, the phrase she most often heard was "You're so strong."And it might be so on the outside and at certain moments, but grief doesn't let go even if it looks like you're handling things. You have to handle them, especially with kids. From dealing with the absurdity of the "admin of death" to slowly making progress through the stages of grief, this poignant memoir helps solidify that there is no such thing as "doing grief right," there's just surviving day to day and trying to find the moments of joy.

I confess to putting off reading this book because I was not ready to dive into someone else's grief, but if there's one thing this book leaves you with, it's that everyone's situation and grieving process are different. And what will help you move on more than anything is to put one foot in front of the other and accept the support that those around you offer. It will not be easy, it will not be quick, but life can continue.

Thank you to NetGalley and Zondervan for the heartfelt read!
