Summer and Parker have been friends since they were three years old. They do everything together. Parker is the only one who's always been there for Summer, from the time both her parents abandoned her, to all the awful dates Summer needs rescuing from. Which is why, on a whim and a bit of desperation, Summer hands over her dating life to Parker, complete with a list of what her ideal partner would be. But when the guy he sets her up with turns out to be a turn that leads to Summer being humiliated and shunned in their small town, it wakes Parker up to his true feelings and begins his mission to win back her trust and heart.

Do not let the innocently happy illustration on the cover fool you, because this book gets deliciously detailed when they get down and dirty. As much as Summer is afraid of accepting her feelings for Parker, there is no denying that the chemistry they share as best friends translates into scorching heat in the bedroom (and many other locations).
The plot isn't anything particularly original, but I loved the characters and the way that Wilde handles emotions. You feel all of them with Summer and Parker, from the humiliation of finding out the truth about the man she's dating, to the devastation of realizing the truth about where you stand with your family, to the joy of being loved and supported by your found family, you're right in the thick of it for all of them and you can't help but love them even more for it.
And don't let the fact that it's book 3 in the series keep you from jumping right in, as it could easily be read as a standalone volume.
