This is a dark, imaginative reimagining of classic fairy tales by 'Brother Grimms' that successfully blends fantasy, horror and mystery into an engaging graphic novel. The haunting artwork by John Kenn Mortensen perfectly complements the eerie atmosphere, making every page feel unsettling yet captivating.

The story introduces familiar fairy-tale elements with a fresh, modern twist and the world-building is intriguing enough to keep you invested. While the pacing occasionally feels rushed and some character arcs could have been explored in greater depth, the overall narrative remains compelling and leaves plenty to anticipate in future installments.

If you enjoy darker retellings of folklore with striking illustrations and a mysterious tone, and even of you guys want to selectively re-read Brother Grimm's works, GRIMM: Book One by Kenneth Bøgh Andersen is well worth picking up. It doesn't reveal all stories from many of your childhood in the first volume, but it builds a fascinating foundation for the series to come with other famous stories.
