So much to love about this book
The story itself is intriguing and is told with excellent pacing; every word propels the story forward. The characters are well-developed and the world-building is wonderful. I found the magic system to be consistent throughout the book. I loved the clever banter between the characters and some passages were so well-written, I would re-read them several times. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading more books by S.V. Lockwood. Thank you to Netgalley and Bindery Books/Kist Reads for the advance reader copy.
