I found the specific information on the early days of the American pharmaceutical industry very interesting and I think the book did a good job of covering the major points. However, I felt that the discussions of the Cold War and weaponry were by far too detailed. I also thought that the case studies were much too long and there were too many transcripts. There were several times that the sentences ran on too long, making them difficult for me to parse. Overall though, the book was worth reading, despite certain challenges. Thank you to NetGalley and Simon & Schuster for the advance reader copy.
