Stunningly well written, this book is action packed from beginning to end.
In a lot of ways, the character reminds me of Reacher, but only if Reacher
liked kids. Fast paced and well laid out, I actually finished in two sittings
because I could not find a, "convenient place to stop..". Turns out it was
at the end of the book!
Kurt was at a point in his life that made him vulnerable, and it was his
luck that he landed at the Church, as the handyman. When Majed is
being chased, we'd be hard pressed to understand why, but it was the
beginning of his attempt to stay alive. For a 17 year old being hunted,
Kurt, the caretaker on the run is his only hope~ he and his mother are
in mortal danger. Kurt plans to save the boy, which becomes an
awful ordeal for all concerned. And the reason the boy was being
hunted is absolutely unpredictable.
This book can be read on its own, but for the background I think
it's best to read the previous book.
