I enjoyed this book. Its strongest points were the author’s journey, the conversational tone, and the great explanations of the science. I also appreciated the author’s sense of humour and overall clever writing. The footnotes were also worth reading as was the reference section. The photos were excellent. Thank you to NetGalley and Columbia University Press for the advance reader copy.
