Description

As a wizard guard and magical police officer in the city of Chicago, Annie and her temporary partner, John Gibbs, investigate the murder of a body found outside the black magic portal. The closer they get to solving the murder, the more they realize the victim’s death is related to the disintegration of the black market and the spell that keeps it hidden.


The key appears to be an ancient ring rumored to belong to the King of Solomon that Annie has hidden. As more information is unearthed, Annie soon finds the original owner of the ring wants it back. Wading through a quagmire of details, she is stunned to realize there is a link between the men chasing her to get the ring back to its owner and her recently deceased father, leaving Annie forging a new path to save her own life and to protect the magical world from exposure.
