I started reading this book and couldn't put it down until I finished reading it! Even through the author said he started writing it when his daughter was in middle school, I'm in my 60s and really enjoyed the new worlds and people he created. I hope he writes quickly because I can't wait for the next one in the series. Yes, it is a series and people of all ages can read it and enjoy it, and parents can let their middle schoolers and younger read this book.

It is also a story about growing up and transitioning to adulthood. It is a book that my daughters will read as young adults. I highly recommend this book, it is entertaining and you will have a hard time finding a place to stop until you finish the book. Can't wait for the sequel.

Funny, when my youngest entered middle school is when my favorite task of the day ended, reading to my two boys to sleep. LOTR, Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter, etc. This would have been a perfect fit to that library, now in their late teens it will be a stocking stuffer for each of them. I don't believe the author for a second that he is a "casual", you can tell the deep influence of classic fantasy, classic film and great lore games all at once. This is the next generation of fantasy writers, with a deep love of the old but connected, willingly or not, to the new. This is the tale the good man tells his son. I loved it and hope the next is well advanced in the pipeline. Perfect timing to have several ready for my eventual grandkids. Keep 'em coming!

About the Author:
Rodi Szoke was born in Mexico City but now lives with his family in Texas. His ancestry blends Hungarian and Mexican heritages across generations. He earned his bachelor’s degree in information technology in 1991 and has worked in that field ever since. Early in his life, Rodi developed a keen interest in fantasy and sci-fi adventures, making him grow into an avid moviegoer and casual gamer. Seven & Two is his debut novel.
