I enjoy dark short story collections and was not disappointed after reading Dark Musings. The stories often have a one word title and are linked by fear and a sense of terror and foreboding. Some I would describe as pure horror and others are more psychological in nature. They have different lengths and having read this a few weeks ago I would say my two favourites are the one about the creepy neighbour which has a supernatural element to it and the one about the father in a coma which posses profound moral questions when he hears his family talking about ending his life unaware that he can hear them.

The writing is good and often I liked the twists that sometimes occurred at the end also there is an afterwords at the end of each story which gives an insight into what the author was hoping to achieve. Yes I would recommend this collection and would read more from this author.
