Matthew Hughes writes science-fiction and fantasy.
His novels are: Fools Errant and Fool Me Twice, Black Brillion, Majestrum, The Commons, The Spiral Labyrinth, Template, Hespira, The Other, The Damned Busters, Costume Not Included, Hell to Pay, Song of the Serpent (as Hugh Matthews), and A Wizard’s Henchman.
His short fiction has appeared in Asimov’s, Fantasy & Science Fiction, Lightspeed, Postscripts, Storyteller, Interzone, and several invitation-only anthologies edited by Gardner Dozois and George R.R. Martin, including the bestseller, Rogues. He has lately been self-publishing collections of his short fiction as 9 Tales of Henghis Hapthorn, The Meaning of Luff and Other Stories, The Compleat Guth Bandar, and Devil or Angel and Other Stories.
Formerly a journalist, he spent more than twenty-five years as a freelance speechwriter for Canadian corporate executives and political leaders.

Marketing Plan
I have my own webstore, the Archonate Bookstore, atwww.matthewhughes.org. Initially, I plan to offer the ebook only at the webstore and at an introductory price of 99 cents. After the first rush of sales, I will move the book to Amazon and Kobo and Smashwords at the regular price of $3.99. I will also produce a POD paperback through CreateSpace, at a price of $12.99.
For the webstore-only launch, I will post announcements on Facebook, Twitter, Goodreads, my web page, and various fora where I am known, including the F&SF Forum. I will also publicize the special-price offer to the recipients of my monthly newsletter. When the introductory period is over and the book goes to wider markets, I will do all of the above again. I have placed a classified ad in F&SF, where seven of the stories first appeared.
I have already sent out copies of the ms to reviewers who have reviewed these stories when they appeared in F&SF
