Marc Ransom, a law-abiding computer architect, and Linda Greer, a cat burglar who has made her living outside of the law all of her life, find themselves incarcerated together in Georgia’s newest prison. This facility is not only one of the most high-tech prisons in the nation but also the first co-ed operation of its kind, and now it houses two desperate people from opposite sides of the tracks. By themselves, Linda and Marc would be eaten alive by the obstacles and sheer violence they face. Because of circumstances beyond their control, they are marked for death by enemies both from the criminal underworld and from within the legal system itself. Trapped behind prison walls, they find that they must either reluctantly work together or face death alone.
