The best fuel is Helium-3—a precious element mined on the moon. Colonies of miners must live on the moon year-round to secure this hidden resource.

Crater Trueblood is one of the miners, a teen doing his best to meet the Helium-3 quota set by the Colonel, the man in charge of Moontown.

After winning recognition for an act of extreme bravery, Crater is tapped by the Colonel for a special mission. But it means he has to leave Moontown, the only home he’s ever known. He finds himself on an uncharted journey across the Moon to retrieve an object of immense value—yet shrouded in complete secrecy.

Nobody mentioned the wide variety of creatures—human, sub-human, and unknown—that would try to stop him along the way, but with the help of his foster brother, Petro, and the Colonel’s beautiful but wily granddaughter, Maria, Crater is determined not just to complete his assignment—but to unlock the secret of the object that could save Moontown.
