Description

This book helps higher education teachers publish their own textbook, tailored by them to the pedagogical demands of their courses, sell it to their students, and even market it to other teachers, at a much lower cost than competitor textbooks sold through traditional publishing houses.

The book has two parts. The first part is a guide to self-publishing, by showing the reader how to format their textbook, find competent proofreaders, design a book cover, and prepare it for both digital and print editions to be sold on Amazon and other direct publishing websites.

It has chapters on building a website that features your new book, directing traffic to the website, creating Amazon and Google ads, mastering the art of search engine optimization, and a final section on "precise" targeting in which the reader is given instructions on finding and advertising the textbook to educators in his or her own teaching field or specialty.
