Description

Former government assassin/spy, Paul Janson has reformed himself into an independent contractor with a new mission. He will take only those jobs that will contribute to the greater good and he will work to rehabilitate disillusioned covert operatives and help them find new lives. Working with Jessica Kincaid, Janson is hired to rescue a doctor who was kidnapped by West African rebels during an ambush of an American oil exploration ship. At first, it appears that the doctor's life was spared in order to treat the rebel's wounded leader Ferdinand Poe, a beacon of hope against a cruel dictator. But when the mission goes f.u.b.a.r., Janson realizes he's in the middle of something much bigger. Amidst an increasingly violent conflict supported by mysterious foreign backers who covet the natural resources of this struggling nation, Janson begins to wonder if he's working for the right side.
