Description
The Prayer for Peace saga continues as war erupts across Tellus. In the third book of this series, the humans of Kentar and the last elven kingdom of Armena march toward war, convinced of their righteousness, neither side realizing the Talon Thieves Guild is behind the curtain pulling the strings. The elven companions have defeated the Talon Guild at the Old Shetley Fortress, but not before three of their own were slain. Judged by the God of the Dead, one was damned for eternity, another was forsaken by his god, and the third was resurrected to serve as his god’s chosen instrument on Tellus. The companions have unknowingly allowed a double agent of the Talon Guild to join their ranks under the guise of being a friend. They have unwittingly served the will of an ancient dragon by opening a gateway to the Plane of Chaos, directly linking the heavens above with the mortals below. Now the story continues as gods, nations, and mortals battle for control of Tellus. The elven brothers, once an inseparable pair, now fight among themselves to save the First Heir, while the most powerful wizard on Tellus plans to use the royal blood in the First Heir’s veins to destroy Armena. The companions will face an angel from the heavens, fight a vampire known only in legend, get recaptured by the Guild, decide the fate of Kentar, and by extension, refashion the war against Armena. They alone will give the ring a final resting place, determine the fate of the gem and the wizard trapped within, endure the scrutiny of the Sorcerers of Kentar, and realize the true power of a dragon’s revenge. All of these things they will face for the slim chance that the gods will give them hope.
