Description

Imagine a bumbling character like Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum told with the quirky tone of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but trying to get a job at Hogwarts. Clarissa Lawrence has been fired from multiple internships as a student teacher for reasons outside her control. Magical things keep happening to her . . . like the students turning into frogs. Her love life isn't any more normal, considering how her boyfriends keep mysteriously suffering from heart attacks. Clarissa doesn't know how to explain it all. Like most twenty-one-year-olds who grew up reading the Harry Potter Series, Clarissa has always dreamed of escaping her mundane life by being invited to a magical school where good triumphs over evil, the administration is fair and kind, and schools don't suffer from budget cuts. When Clarissa learns she is descended from a powerful sorceress, she would do anything to find the magical world where she knows she belongs. Only, the witches don't want her because her mother pulled a Wicked Witch of the West move on everyone. To make matters worse, a gang of evil Fae wants to kidnap and enslave her. Clarissa must escape little old ladies in gingerbread cottages, the evil school district psychologist who has always been out to get her, and a hoard of harpies before she can prove to the Witchkin that the bad apple falls farther from the tree that they'd guessed. If she can do this, then maybe, just maybe her dreams will come true and she'll land that job teaching the dark arts and crafts. This is the second book in the WOMBY'S SCHOOL FOR WAYWARD WITCHES Series, but the first three books can be read in any order.

Top Reviews 5.0 out of 5 stars, Lot of fun! In the 2nd book in the Womby series, Clarissa learns of her magic powers and has to make a choice between having her power drained and becoming a mortie (mortal) or becoming a witchkin and attending the Womby School in order to learn how to use her powers. I love this series... it keeps me laughing. Also, I completely get wishing you would get your Hogwarts acceptance letter... S. Lewison April 14, 2018 5.0 out of 5 stars, Sexy Witch Problems Funny!! A woman discovers she is a Witch who can't control her powers. That leads to all the funny problems she gets into. I want More!! I received this bk free from rediscovery to give my Honest review and am so happy to be able to! Barbara Harden April 13, 2018 5.0 out of 5 stars, Please, I am not my mother's daughter. This story is about a young witch who loves Harry Potter and wants to live that life. Amazon Customer April 12, 2018 4.0 out of 5 stars, Fun and funny Fun and funny!!! Clarissa is a delightful character. She tries so hard to be ‘normal’ and ‘just like everyone else’, but, even with the script drugs from her therapist and her mom’s specially enhanced smoothies, magic keeps making an appearance- usually quite awkwardly.I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily post this review. This is my honest review Georgeanna April 14, 2018 4.0 out of 5 stars, Highly recommended for lovers of humorous, adult fantasy. Clarissa continues her (mis)adventures in the next installment of Sarina Dorie's Womby's School For Wayward Witches series. Another fun read with a little naughty romance and a little darkness. I would highly recommend these books to lovers of humorous, adult fantasy. Andrew April 12, 2018 3.0 out of 5 stars, Imaginative, dark & funny The descriptors certainly piqued my interest -so I decided to read the prequels before I started the series. The cover art alone is worth a look. I love the storyline- imaginative, dark and funny. That being said, getting through Hex-Ed (and Tardy Bells) was a little tedious with all the subsets and new yet, detached characters- but they are the hooks to the series right? Clarissa is frustrated (when she is coherent and not influenced by potions or spells) and goes for years not knowing who or what she is – I felt the same, you so want her to find her way. Maybe the series with allow the depth of the characters to develop and streamline the narrative. I will read the next book in this series. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. Marketing Plan

I am using AMS and Facebook ads. I have sales planned periodically, which always help boost sales of other books in the series. My newsletter has been a good resource for when I publish a new book, so I will continue to do that. I use social media but it isn’t as effective as my newsletter. I am going to a conference soon to learn new things about my advertising and will apply some of those techniques. So far one of my biggest ways of generating revenue has been releasing another book in the series.
