Advance Praise

In a society where moral rectitude is increasingly becoming abeyant, Akinyemi's bounden duty is to reawaken it with verses. He, thus, functions as a philosopher-poet, a kind of factotum inculcating wisdom in different facets of life. Dead Lion Don't Roar leads us into the universe of an exact mind rousing the lethargic from indolence or prevarication, bearing in mind that the greatest achievers are those who take the bull by the horn. Taking a step can just be the open sesame to reach the stars. Enough of jeremiad! - The Sun

Dead Lions Don't Roar is a collection of fantastic poems. The writer, Tolu' A. Akinyemi did a great job using short but powerful poems to discuss a variety of issues that affect us all, either directly or indirectly. His poems are packed with important lessons that we all can benefit from regardless of age or status. I especially liked the fact that he addressed a number of cogent social issues, which are reflective of a society like ours that focuses on the mundane. - Okadabooks

Dead Lions Don't Roar, a collection of poetic wisdom for the discerning, makes an interesting read. A paper pack, the poems are concise, easy to digest, travel friendly and express deep feelings and noble thoughts in beautiful and simple language. -The Nation

Akinyemi’s, Dead Lions Don't Roar, with a 5-star rating, which doesn’t graze the worth of this aspiring poetry collection! "Blown away like a candle in the wind”.

Akinyemi's verses are concise, straight-edge and explanatory, reminiscent of the kind of poetry often churned out by Mamman J. Vatsa, the late soldier and poet. -yNaija
