At sixteen Violet Noone is thrown into a world of deception and betrayal when her sister, Ophelia, missing and presumed dead for the last four years, suddenly reenters her life. Fleeing the scene, they become suspects, relentlessly pursued by Penny, the officer in charge of the investigation.
