What an absolutely brilliant book!!!!! Sooo emotive and the sex was smoking hot. The bdsm was quite harsh in spots, but fitted well in the story, so dont read if hardcore is not for you. I loved it!!!!!!!!!!

The last Knight of the Boardroom has finally fallen - but so spectacularly. This was an awesome book, the best in the series so far. I could not put it down and now feel bereft knowing all the knights are taken. A very grown up read by a very talented author mistress - AWESOME JOEY

Joey W. Hill absolutely demonstrate her fantastic skill at dragging the reader through an emotional storm of passion and love. This book is by far the best of the series with the in-depth treatment of the characters. Many times you see character development from one character or a bit from both but in Hostile Takeover both Marcie and Ben grow leaps and bounds. The sex is so freaking hot. I enjoyed most is that the BDSM is hardcore and complete. She plays it all out on the pages full-scenes instead of glossing over for the skittish. It makes everything more vibrant and real. I just wish the Ms. Hill wrote FASTER!!!!

When my download of *Hostile Takeover* was completed, I wanted nothing more than at the very least, the next 24 hours to savor the book in it's entirety. Preferably in blissful solitude. Unfortunately, that wasn't to be. Like most of us in the 'real world' I have responsibilities and others who depend on me and for nearly a week after receiving my book, I was unable to do little more than snatch a hastily read chapter here and there. Forcing myself to close the reader and sleep, eagerly awaiting, anticipating the time, when I could give it the attention it deserved. I fell inlove with this series from the very first book *Board Resolution* at once captivated, intrigued, shocked, delighted and eager to find more of Joey W. Hill's phenomenal works. While I can say that I have never read a book of hers that I didn't love, and that each one left me satisfied on so many levels, yet impatient for more, *Hostile Takeover* is beyond sublime. I'm a HUGE fan of her work and can rattle off titles from my personal list of her *Greatest Hits*.... But *Hostile Takeover* in my humble opinion, is simply a Masterpiece. It's a love story. A journey of discovery. Tender, stark, brutally honest, yet believable, gorgeous and so deliciously vivid and irresistible that it's memory will linger long after the final glorious chapter. As I read, the characters came to breathtaking life and in my minds eye, Joey gave me their story in an imagery of words that held me spellbound. I've read it twice now and know I'll read this series from start to finish many times. I've travelled the full gamut of emotions, crying, laughing, lusting and loving the magic...but don't take my word for it. Read it yourself.

I've read hundreds of books and all of Joey W. Hill's books and have never felt compelled to write a review. I waited for the release of this book checking the authors and Ellora's Cave websites often. I loved the series and Hostile Takeover was the best. The letters written between Ben and Marcie were beautiful and to me made the story. It is such a joy to read such a well written book. My emotions ran from tears to laughter, hot (sex) to anger. I didn't want it to end...I guess I'll have to read it again!!

This is a wonderful book. Joey W Hill is one of my favorite authors because her books always have amazing characters, a wonderful plot and very very hot scenes. This book is no exception. Ben is a complex and driven dominant who is isolating himself from this friends and is struggling with his past. Marcie is a strong and courageous submissive who has loved Ben since she was a teenager and understands what she must do to make Ben notice her not only as an adult but also as a submissive who is strong enough to handle his form of dominance. There is a strong BDSM element to this book but everything is unquestionably consensual.
