Description

Ginger Cooper, one of the best Apache pilots in the Army, engages in nonstop missions during the Surge of 2008. Her squadron, Pegasus, owns the skies over Iraq, supporting troops on the ground across the war-ravaged nation.

Porter Dawkins, a Navy SEAL, leads his counter-terrorism unit as they partner with the Army’s elite Delta Force operators to target insurgent leadership in high-risk missions at a moment’s notice.   As the insurgency adapts, Ginger and Porter need to overcome unit casualties and the ramifications of their personal choices as they work to defeat an increasingly creative and elusive enemy.

When a top-priority target turns heads in Washington, the Delta Force and SEAL operators must combine with Pegasus for a critical mission, where failure could derail the entire war.

Advance Praise

Pegasus is an edge of the seat, can’t-put-the-book-down kind of story that puts the reader in the action. Vince wrote this as if he was recounting real events, hitting the highs and lows in the battle to take Iraq.

– Sergeant Chris Gonser, U.S. Army, OIF Veteran

Simply put, Vince Guerra’s Pegasus is the apogee of his story telling. Building on the story lines of Beyond the Golden Hour and The Stars in Their Places, Vince amps up the human capital of his characters and his consummate storytelling to produce a riveting, outstanding story of troops overcoming their limits to go above and beyond to defend their country, its interests, and their fellow troops.
– Lieutenant Colonel Wm. Brendan Welsh, United States Army Special Forces (Ret.)

Vince’s newest book is a thrilling story of contemporary military aviators and operators. The characters are especially compelling and realistic. The families are treated equally with respect, and together they make an engrossing story of our contemporary warriors and their world. I can’t wait for his next book.

– Anonymous, Captain, United States Air Force

Vince Guerra is a great new voice in military techno-thrillers. Action packed storyline; believable, humanized characters; plenty of high tech military equipment. As a former A-10 driver, I appreciate his authenticity and accuracy. As a lifetime reader of the genre, I give it five stars – highly recommended.

– Anonymous, former A-10 pilot, United States Air Force

This book points to the need of God in our lives. In the midst of a story of people in war for different reasons, it shows how God is near us ready to help, and uses all people who are willing.

– David Eubank, Founder, Free Burma Rangers

Vince Guerra is an author hitting his stride and Pegasus is his best book yet. As an old Vulcan/Stinger soldier, I especially appreciated the tactical details.

– Colonel Clifford Brown, U.S. Army (Ret.)
